Beschrijving
De Pipe defrost on/off (Afbeelding 2) is een makkelijk te gebruiken verwarmingskabel om
binnen- en buitenwaterleidingen te beschermen tegen bevriezing. De kabel gaat automatisch
aan en uit zodat er energie wordt bespaard en de pijpleiding niet oververhit kan raken.

1. Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact (Afbeelding 5).
2. Laat de kabel afkoelen voordat u hem aanraakt (indien van toepassing).
3. Verwijder de kabel van de pijpleiding.
4. Maak de kabel schoon en wikkel hem op.
5. Vervoer de kabel in de originele verpakking.
6. Bewaar de kabel in de originele verpakking op een koele, droge en stofvrije plaats.

Veiligheid

Dit apparaat is niet geschikt voor personen met een fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale beperking
of met gebrek aan ervaring en kennis (inclusief kinderen). Houd het apparaat buiten het
bereik van kinderen, onbevoegden en huisdieren.
Algemene veiligheidsinstructies
WAARSCHUWING
De buitenste coating van de verwarmingskabel is niet geschikt om in contact te
komen met drinkwater of andere drinkbare of eetbare producten. Het is geen
probleem om de kabel aan de buitenkant van een drinkwaterleiding te
bevestigen. De verwarmingskabel (niet de stekker) is beschermd tegen
onderdompeling tot 30 minuten op diepten tussen 15 cm en 1 m. Ondanks
deze classificatie raden wij ten zeerste aan om:
•te voorkomen dat er water op de kabel spat;
•geen enkel deel van de kabel onder te dompelen in water of andere
vloeistoffen.
WAARSCHUWING
Het apparaat wordt erg heet. Raak het apparaat niet aan tijdens gebruik of
binnen vijf minuten na gebruik.
Veiligheid tijdens gebruik
WAARSCHUWING
Gebruik de kabel niet:
•in drinkwater of andere drinkbare of eetbare producten;
•in een muur, vloer of plafond;
•op een kunststof pijpleiding, tenzij de pijpleiding in aluminiumfolie is
gewikkeld en steeds met water is gevuld;
•op een pijpleiding die warmer is dan 65 °C, zoals een stoompijpleiding;
•op een pijpleiding die niet bestemd is voor water, zoals een gaspijpleiding
of een oliepijpleiding;
•in de buurt van andere warmtebronnen en open vuur;
•in de buurt van ontvlambare materialen;
•met accessoires die niet door de fabrikant worden aanbevolen of
meegeleverd;
•in combinatie met een toestel dat het apparaat automatisch inschakelt,
zoals een timer, dimmer of een ander toestel.
Als het apparaat, het netsnoer of de stekker schade vertoont of slecht werkt,
stel het apparaat dan onmiddellijk buiten gebruik en onderbreek de
stroomtoevoer meteen.

Installatie en werking
De kabel is verpakt in een doos. Verwijder al het verpakkingsmateriaal en controleer of het
product niet beschadigd is. Gebruik de verwarmingskabel niet als deze beschadigd is, maar
neem in dat geval altijd contact op met uw leverancier. Bewaar de verpakking voor veilige
opslag en vervoer.
WAARSCHUWING
Steek de stekker niet in het stopcontact voordat het apparaat volledig is
uitgerold. Zorg dat de hoofdspanning gelijk is aan de spanning die aangegeven
staat op het identificatielabel van het apparaat. Alle elektrische aansluitingen
moeten onder alle omstandigheden droog blijven.
WAARSCHUWING
Installeer de kabel nooit wanneer de pijpleiding kouder is dan 5 °C. Gebruik
nooit isolatie dikker dan 13 mm. Zowel de tape als het isolatiemateriaal
moeten bestand zijn tegen ten minste 80 °C. Gebruik nooit metalen banden
om de verwarmingskabel aan de pijpleiding te bevestigen.
WAARSCHUWING
De verwarmingskabel mag op geen enkel punt raken, kruisen of overlappen.
De verwarmingskabel mag de thermostaat nergens raken. De minimale
buigradius van de verwarmingskabel is 25 mm.
1. Zorg dat het gebied rond de pijpleiding vrij is van scherpe randen en brandbare
materialen.
2. Plaats de thermostaat strak tegen de pijp en plak hem vast met tape. De thermostaat
moet aan het koudste uiteinde van de leiding worden geplaatst.
3. Bevestig de kabel met tape (Afbeelding 3, pos. 1) elke 20 cm aan de onderkant van de
gewenste leiding (Afbeelding 3, pos. 3). Bevestig bij verticale pijpleidingen de kabel aan
de weerszijde.
4. Als de kabel te lang is of als een groter vermogen nodig is, kunt u de kabel ook rond de
pijpleiding oprollen (Afbeelding 3, pos. 2).
Voor pijpleidingen met een diameter groter dan 38 mm, brengt u 2 afzonderlijke
verwarmingskabels aan weerszijden van de pijpleiding aan of rolt u de verwarmingskabel
rond de pijpleiding.

WAARSCHUWING
Zorg er, voordat u de kabel in het stopcontact steekt, voor dat:
•u het apparaat met droge handen installeert;
•de kabel schoon en droog is;
•de kabel niet beschadigd is;
•de kabel stevig bevestigd is.

7. Steek de stekker (Afbeelding 5, pos. 1) in een
geaard stopcontact waar u eenvoudig bij
kunt. Gebruik een geaard stopcontact met
een minimumvermogen van 300 watt.

Werking
De thermostaat activeert de verwarmingskabel bij blootstelling aan temperaturen lager dan
ongeveer 3 °C. De thermostaat schakelt de verwarmingskabel uit bij blootstelling aan
temperaturen boven ongeveer 13 °C.
Na de werking
LET OP
Gebruik de stroomkabel niet om de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen.
Wind de kabel niet te strak op en niet in scherpe hoeken.
De verwarmingskabel mag het hele jaar door op de pijpleiding blijven zitten. We raden aan
om de stroomkabel aan het einde van het vriesseizoen los te koppelen.
Onderhoud
WAARSCHUWING
Knip de kabel nooit door om hem in te korten. Voer geen reparaties of
wijzigingen aan deze kabel uit.
Als de kabel beschadigd is, moet de hele kabel worden vervangen.
Reiniging
LET OP
Gebruik geen:
•schuursponsjes;
•harde borstels;
•ontvlambare, agressieve of chemische reinigingsmiddelen.
Voorkom dat er water in het apparaat komt. Dompel geen enkel deel van het
apparaat onder in water of andere vloeistoffen.

We raden aan om de kabel te reinigen voordat u hem opbergt.
1. Veeg het apparaat af met een vochtige, schone, zachte, pluisvrije doek of een zachte
borstel.
2. Laat het apparaat volledig drogen voordat u het opbergt.
Verwijdering
Gooi het apparaat aan het einde van de levensduur weg volgens de plaatselijke wetten en
voorschriften of lever het apparaat in bij uw leverancier.

Description
The Pipe defrost on/off (Figure 2) is an easy-to-use heating cable to protect indoor and
outdoor water pipelines from freezing. The cable automatically turns on and off, to save
energy and not overheat the pipeline.

1. Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet (Figure 5).
2. Let the cable cool down before touching it (if applicable).
3. Remove the cable from the pipeline.
4. Clean and wind the cable.
5. Transport the cable in its original packaging.
6. Store the cable in its original packaging in a cool, dry and dust-free area.

Safety
Please read and understand these safety instructions. Incorrect use can cause injury and will
void EUROM’s warranty.
This device is not suitable for use by persons with a physical, sensory or mental disability, or
lack of experience and knowledge (including children). Keep the device out of reach of
children, unqualified persons and pets.
General safety instructions
WARNING
The outside coating from the heating cable is not suited to have any contact
with drinking water or other drinkable or edible products. It is not a problem to
install the cable on the outside of a drinking water pipeline. The heating cable
(not the power plug) is protected against immersion for up to 30 minutes at
depths between 15 cm and 1 m. Despite this rating, we strongly recommend
to:
•prevent splashing water on the cable.
•not immerse any part of the cable in water or other liquids.
WARNING
The device becomes very hot during use. Do not touch the device during use
or within five minutes after use.
Safety during operation
WARNING
Do not use the cable:
•within drinking water or other drinkable or edible products;
•in a wall, floor or ceiling;
•on a plastic pipeline, unless the pipeline is wrapped in aluminum foil and
is filled with water at all times.
•on a pipeline heated above 65 °C, like a steam pipeline;
•on a non-water pipeline, like a gas pipeline or an oil pipeline;
•near other heat sources and open fire;
•near flammable materials;
•with accessories not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer;
•with an appliance that automatically switches the device on, such as a
timer, dimmer or any other device.
If the device, the electric cable or plug shows damage or is malfunctioning,
immediately take the appliance out of use and disconnect the power supply.

Installation and operation
The cable is packed in one box. Remove all packaging material and check that the cable is not
damaged. Do not use the heater cable if it is damaged, but always contact your supplier. Keep
the packaging for safe storage and transport.
WARNING
Do not put the power plug into the wall socket before the device is completely
uncoiled. Make sure that the main voltage is the same as indicated on the
identification label of the device. All electrical connections must stay dry under
all circumstances.
WARNING
Never install the cable when the pipeline is colder than 5 °C. Never use
insulation thicker than 13 mm. Both tape and insulation materials must be able
to withstand at least 80 °C. Never use metal bindings to secure the heating
cable to the pipeline.
WARNING
Never allow the heating cable to touch, cross or overlap itself at any point.
Never let the heating cable touch the thermostat. Minimum bend radius from
the heating cable is 25 mm.
1. Make sure the area around the pipeline is clear of sharp edges and flammable materials.
2. Place the thermostat tightly against the pipe and secure it using tape. The thermostat
should be placed on the coldest end of the pipe.
3. Fix the cable (Figure 3, pos. 1) at the bottom of the desired pipeline using tape (Figure 3,
pos. 3) every 20 cm. For vertical pipelines, fix the cable on the weather side.
4. If the cable is too long or if greater power is needed, the cable may also be coiled around
the pipeline (Figure 3, pos. 2).
For pipelines with a diameter larger than 38 mm, apply 2 separate heating cables on opposite
sides of the pipeline or coil the heating cable around the pipeline.

WARNING
Before plugging in the cable, make sure that:
•you install the device with dry hands;
•the cable is clean and dry;
•the cable is not damaged;
•the cable is securely installed.

7. Place the power plug (Figure 5, pos. 1) into an
earthed wall socket that is easily accessible.
Use an earthed wall socket with a minimum
power of 300 Watt.

Operation
The thermostat activates the heating cable when exposed to temperatures below
approximately 3 °C. The thermostat will deactivate the heating cable when exposed to
temperatures above approximately 13 °C.
After operation
CAUTION
Do not use the power cable to unplug. Do not wind the cable too tightly or in
sharp corners.
The heating cable may remain on the pipeline all year round. It is recommended to unplug
the power cable at the end of the freezing season.
Maintenance
WARNING
Never cut the cable to shorten it. Do not perform any repairs or modifications
to this cable.
If the cable is damaged, the whole cable should be replaced.
Cleaning
CAUTION
Do not use:
•scouring pads;
•hard brushes;
•flammable, aggressive or chemical cleaning products.
Prevent water from entering the device. Do not immerse any part of the device
in water or other liquids.

It is recommended to clean the cable prior to storage.
8. Wipe the device with a damp, clean, soft, lint-free cloth or a soft brush.
9. Let the device dry completely prior to storage.
Disposal
At its end of life, discard the device according to the local laws and regulations, or deliver the
device to your supplier.

Beschreibung
Pipe defrost on/off (Abbildung 2) ist ein benutzerfreundliches Heizkabel zum Schutz der
Wasserleitungen im Innen- und Außenbereich vor dem Einfrieren. Das Kabel wird
automatisch ein- und ausgeschaltet, um Energie zu sparen und die Rohrleitung nicht zu
überhitzen.

1. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose (Abbildung 5).
2. Lassen Sie das Kabel abkühlen, bevor Sie es berühren (falls zutreffend).
3. Entfernen Sie das Kabel von der Rohrleitung.
4. Reinigen Sie das Kabel und wickeln Sie es auf.
5. Transportieren Sie das Kabel in der Originalverpackung.
6. Bewahren Sie das Kabel in der Originalverpackung an einem kühlen, trockenen und
staubfreien Ort auf.

Allgemeine Sicherheitshinweise
WARNUNG
Die Außenbeschichtung des Heizkabels ist nicht für den Kontakt mit
Trinkwasser oder anderen trinkbaren oder essbaren Produkten geeignet. Die
Verlegung des Kabels an der Außenseite einer Trinkwasserleitung ist jedoch
kein Problem. Das Heizkabel (nicht der Netzstecker) ist bis zu 30 Minuten in
einer Tiefe zwischen 15 cm und 1 m gegen Eintauchen geschützt. Trotz dieser
Bewertung empfehlen wir dringend:
•Kein Wasser auf das Kabel zu spritzen.
•Keinen Teil des Kabels in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten zu tauchen.

WARNUNG
Das Gerät wird während des Gebrauchs sehr heiß. Berühren Sie das Gerät
nicht während des Gebrauchs oder innerhalb von fünf Minuten nach dem
Gebrauch.
Sicherheit während des Betriebs

•in Trinkwasser oder anderen trinkbaren oder essbaren Produkten;
•in einer Wand, einem Boden oder einer Decke;
•auf einer Kunststoffrohrleitung, es sei denn, die Rohrleitung ist in
Aluminiumfolie eingewickelt und jederzeit mit Wasser gefüllt.
•an einer über 65° C erhitzten Rohrleitung wie einer Dampfleitung;
•auf einer Nichtwasserleitung, wie einer Gasleitung oder einer Ölleitung;
•in der Nähe anderer Wärmequellen und offenem Feuer;
•in der Nähe von brennbaren Materialien;
•mit Zubehör, das vom Hersteller nicht empfohlen oder geliefert wird;
•mit einem Gerät, welches das Gerät automatisch einschaltet, z. B. einem
Timer, einem Dimmer oder einem anderen Gerät.
Wenn das Gerät, das Elektrokabel oder der Stecker beschädigt sind oder eine
Fehlfunktion aufweisen, nehmen Sie das Gerät sofort außer Betrieb und
trennen Sie die Stromversorgung.
Installation und Betrieb
Das Kabel ist in einer Box verpackt. Entfernen Sie das gesamte Verpackungsmaterial und
stellen Sie sicher, dass das Kabel nicht beschädigt ist. Verwenden Sie das Heizkabel nicht,
wenn es beschädigt ist, sondern wenden Sie sich immer erst an Ihren Lieferanten. Bewahren
Sie die Verpackung für eine sichere Lagerung und einen sicheren Transport auf.

Stecken Sie den Netzstecker nicht in die Steckdose, bevor das Gerät vollständig
abgewickelt ist. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Hauptspannung übereinstimmt der
