wheneverpossible.Ifsupportingtheworkpiece
byhand,youmustalwayskeepyourhandat
least100mmfromeithersideofthesawblade.
Donotusethissawtocutpiecesthataretoo
smalltobesecurelyclampedorheldbyhand. If
yourhandisplacedtooclosetothesawblade,there
isanincreasedriskofinjuryfrombladecontact.
c) Theworkpiecemustbestationaryand
clampedorheldagainstboththefenceandthe
table.Donotfeedtheworkpieceintothebladeor
cut freehand”inanyway. Unrestrainedormoving
workpiecescouldbethrownathighspeeds,causing
injury.
d) Pushthesawthroughtheworkpiece.Donot
pullthesawthroughtheworkpiece.Tomakea
cut,raisethesawheadandpullitoutoverthe
workpiecewithoutcutting,startthemotor,press
thesawheaddownandpushthesawthrough
theworkpiece. Cuttingonthepullstrokeislikelyto
causethesawbladetoclimbontopoftheworkpiece
andviolentlythrowthebladeassemblytowardsthe
operator.
e) Nevercrossyourhandovertheintendedline
ofcuttingeitherinfrontorbehindthesawblade.

f) Donotreachbehindthefencewitheitherhand
closerthan100mmfromeithersideofthesaw

ofthespinningsawbladetoyourhandmaynotbe
obviousandyoumaybeseriouslyinjured.
g) Inspectyourworkpiecebeforecutting.Ifthe
workpieceisbowedorwarped,clampitwiththe
outsidebowedfacetowardthefence.Always
makecertainthatthereisnogapbetweenthe
workpiece,fenceandtablealongthelineofthe
cut. Bentorwarpedworkpiecescantwistorshiftand
maycausebindingonthespinningsawbladewhile
cutting.Thereshouldbenonailsorforeignobjectsin
theworkpiece.
h) Donotusethesawuntilthetableisclearofall
tools,woodscraps,etc.,exceptforthe
workpiece. Smalldebrisorloosepiecesofwoodor
otherobjectsthatcontacttherevolvingbladecanbe
thrownwithhighspeed.
i) Cutonlyoneworkpieceatatime. Stacked
multipleworkpiecescannotbeadequatelyclamped
