1. Level Controls for Input Sensivity (GAIN)
The amplifier can receive High Level Audio Signal Input Range from 0.5V to 10V from the Audio
Source unit. Please adjust the GAIN Level of Front and Rear Channels separately to ensure they
match the Audio Source Output Level.
GAIN control is not to compare with the Volume control of the Audio Source Unit. The Note:
appropriate INPUT Signal Level to the PXA 45 amplifier is the guarantee of perfect audio quality.
A proper guide to adjust GAIN is to turn off the GAINs first step. Next turn up the Volume control
of the Audio Source aprox to 90%. Finally turn up the GAINs to your maximum choice of output
Level without distoraon. Asure mind damage of your Loudspeakers and your listening abilies.
Cauon: Excessive output Level can damage Loudspeaker and result in distorted sound.

2. High Pass Filter (HPF)
This knob controls the input frequency range for amplificaon. Therefor you can cut out the boom
Frequency with a range from 0Hz to 300Hz ahead of amplificaon for a limited Output Signal.
Note: The boom frequency range ever effect into most stress to the amplifier and loudspeaker.
Cung boom frequencies ahead amplificaon increase the energec balance and longlife of your
Equipment while the Distoraon of Sound get decreased and higher output Levels are possible.

acve underseat Subwoofer for a perfect audio quality even of the boom frequency range.
3. Subwoofer RCA PRE Output and REM Output Signal
Via the included interface the EXCURSION PXA 45 provide a PRE Low Level Signal for the PXA B8
underseat Subwoofer or EXURSION SXA or HXA MONO Amplifiers as well other Power Amplifiers.
At same me it can provide a 12V REM TURN ON/OFF Signal for proper funcon of all Amplifiers.
Note: The most common way of installaon within our recommondaon will be, via the 1,8m
20 Pole ISO Harness, at the front underseat locaon of car. Therefor, for this short distance, is
only a RCA Male Adapter demanded to the EXCURSION PXA B8 underseat Subwoofer.
4. ALARM (Protecon Indicator)
The ALARM LED indicator will light up and flash if there is fault presented to the amplifier,
like short circuit, overheat or under voltage protecon and the amplifier will stop working.
5. POWER (Working Indicator)
The amplifier will go into normal working status aer complet self-check and light up LED indicator.
6. Connecon of EXCURSION PXA with the Car Audio Source (Picture see Page 5)
(Please use our professional EXCURSION 20 Pole Plug & Play Harness, which is oponal)
Male Connector will be plugged into the car Harness, which has been disconnected ahead.1.
Female Connector will be plugged into the Audio Source unit. 2.
20 Pole Connector will be plugged into the EXCURSION PXA 45 Amplifier3.
7. POWER CAP (acity)
Within EXCURSION SMART OEM Upgrade Concept we focus to the basic handicap of all kind of
Plug & Play installaon = limitaon of the Power and Ground cable wiring. Too small diameter
of the Power Cable effect into losses of voltage at higher consumpon demands. Less Voltage
effect direct into losses of Power and Sound Quality with much higher Distoraon of the Signal.
Especially in challenge with all kind of music material every amplifier need stable power supply
to perform at its best fine and rough dynamic according the origin recording without distoraon.
In order to perform at its best quality we recommend to hook up at all kind of Plug & Play installs
an extra Power Capacity. This local Energy Storage provide quick impulsiv discharge power supply
while connous stable recharging of the Capacity Storage via the Plug & Play harness is possible.
The Power Capacity Storage follow in size the total consumpon. Sure increase in case further
PXA B8 underseat subwoofer or Power Amplifiers get distribut connected via the CAP Terminal.
Note: Oponal Power Capacies are recommend in short distance with 12Volt Caps & AGM Baeries.

EXCURSION
Installaon:
A. Please prepare sufficiently to layout car space before installaon
B. The temperature of heatsink surface will reach up to 80°C with connuously
working status. Do make sure that there is enough space between amplifier
and other thermo sensive components in the car, like plasc and electronic parts.
C. Please take care insulated cables to avoid damages when cables pass trough
metal, rubber and plasc. Do not pull the cable too ght during installaon.
D. Avoid perforaons on gas tank, Fuel or hydraulic lines, as well electrical wiring ect.
E. Please use the fuses as required to avoid the damage of the amplifier.

EXCURSION LIMITED WARRANTY POLICY
EXCURSION Intl. offers limited warranty on EXCURSION products under normal use on the following terms:
.EXCURSION Amplifiers are to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year
This warranty applies only to EXCURSION products sold to consumers by Authorizied EXCURSION Dealers
in Germany. Products purchased by consumers from an EXCURSION dealer in another country are covered
only by that country´s Distributor and not by EXCURSION Intl.
This warranty covers only the original purchaser of EXCURSION product. In order to receive service, the
purchaser must provide EXCURSION with the receipt stang the consumer name, dealer, product and date
of purchase.
Products found to be defecve during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced (with a product
deemed to be equivalent) at Excursion`s discreon and will not be liable for incidental or consequenal
damages. EXCURSION will not warranty this product under the following situaons:
* Amplifiers received with apparent rust or corrosion
* Any evidence of liquid damage or exposure to excessive heat
* Aempted repairs or alteraons of any nature
* Product that has not been installed according to this owner manual
Any implied warranes including warranes of fitness for use and merchantability are limited in duraon
to the period of the express warranty set forth above. No person is authorizied to assume for EXCURSION
any other liability in connecon with the sale of this product.
Please call prior your authorizied EXCURSION dealer the product got purchased. In case they
are not accessible call 0961-416-0420 for EXCURSION Customer Service. You must obtain an RA#
(Return Authorizaon Number) to return any product to EXCURSION Intl. The RA number must
be prominently marked on the outside of the shipping carton or the delivery will be refused.
Please pack your return carefully! We are not responsibile for items damaged in shipping.
Return the defecve product along with a copy of the original dated retail sales receipt, plus 10,- EUR
for handling and diagnosc evaluaon to:
