Powering Your Devices
How to use your OMEGA:
1. Turn on the power switch corresponding to the port you
will be using.
• When not using certain ports, be sure to turn them off to
conserve power.
2. You’ll know the port is turned on when the LED light be-
neath the port is lit up.
• DC Output - Green LED next to the USB sockets.
• AC Output - Green LED beneath the USB sockets.
3. Plug in your devices to begin supplying power.
4. You are able recharge your OMEGA and power your gear
at the same time.
Please note: This product is intended to be used for emer-
gency purposes and cannot replace normal alternating cur-
rent for long term use.
Inverter Size
The AC port is powered by an inverter that allows for 1300W
of power. This means if your device is pulling more than
1300W for an extended period of time, the inverter will shut
off.
Another number to watch for is the surge rating of your
device as compared to that of the port. The inverter has an
advanced surge management system that will maximize its
compatibility with various devices, but there will still be items
that will surge at a higher rate, and for a longer time, than the
OMEGA can handle. In this case, the port will turn itself off to
prevent any damage to the battery cells or your device.

Run Times
When charging devices with your OMEGA, take note of the
power consumption of your device. If you plug in devices that
have a high power requirement (e.g. large refrigerator), the
charge level of your OMEGA can drop very quickly and you
may not get the full 1500Wh of energy.
Also, when using the AC power output, the OMEGA will
be converting the energy from the DC power of the bat-
tery (11.1v) to the AC power (110v) needed by your device.
Although your OMEGA has a very high efcient inverter, there
will still be some energy lost in the conversion, and you will
not get the full rated capacity of the battery.
If you’re experiencing shorter runtimes, you may want to
check the device’s power requirements.
USB Output
The OMEGA is equipped with 4 DC ports, and 4 USB ports.
Due to the chemical composition of lithium batteries, the
output voltage will drop as the battery capacity drops. For
this reason, if your device doesn’t have built-in input voltage
stabilization, the OMEGA may shutdown if the voltage gets
too low. Please unplug the device to recharge the OMEGA up
to an adequate voltage.
UPS Function
The OMEGA Series can function as an uninterruptible power
supply system with pass through charging for its AC Output
ports.
Designed to work as a UPS for standard computer systems,
the OMEGA can keep your important data safe in the event of
a power outage by switching from the pass through charging
to the internal battery supply within 5ms of a power failure.

FUNCTION
15
How to use the UPS Function:
1. Plug in the Wall Charger.
2. Turn on AC Output port on the OMEGA.
3. Plug in and turn on computer setup system.
How to turn off the UPS Function:
1. Turn off your computer devices.
2. Power off AC Output port.
3. Disconnect Wall Charger.
Note: A minimum charge of 50-80% charge is recommended
before using the UPS function.
Storage and Maintenance
If you plan to store the unit for long periods of time, it is rec-
ommended to leave the OMEGA disconnected from all power
output and input.
In order to extend lifespan of your OMEGA, fully charge the
OMEGA before rst use, and fully recharge at least once
every 3 months.
Failure to maintain your OMEGA by following these steps can
result in battery damage which will void the product warranty.
Cold Weather Usage
We recommend charging in the range of 10° C ~ 30° C to
obtain the optimal charging capacity.
Cold temperatures (below freezing) can affect the unit’s
battery capacity. If you’ll be using the OMEGA off-grid in sub-
zero conditions, we recommend you keep your unit insulated
to keep the battery at its highest capacity.

FAQ
Q: How do I know if my device will work with the OMEGA?
A: First, you’ll need to determine the amount of power your
device requires. This may require some research on your end,
a good internet search or examining the user guide for your
device should sufce.
Second, you will need to check the capacity for the individual
output ports. For example, the AC port is powered by an
inverter that allows for 1300W of power. This means if your
device is pulling more than 1300W for an extended period of
time, the inverter will shut off.
Another number to watch for is the surge rating of your
device as compared to that of the port. The inverter has an
advanced surge management system that will maximize its
compatibility with various devices, but there will still be items
that will surge at a higher rate, and for a longer time, than the
OMEGA can handle, in which case the port will turn itself off
to prevent any damage to the battery cells.
So if you’re deciding on what to power from your new OMEGA,
rst do some research into your device’s watt consumption to
make sure it’s compatible.
Q: How do I know if my OMEGA is fully charged?
A: When the OMEGA is charging, AC charge indicator will
turn red. Once the OMEGA has reached full charge, the in-
dicator will turn green. It is ok to use the OMEGA even when
not fully charged.

Q: What is a Pure Sine Wave inverter?
A: The OMEGA has a built-in pure sine wave inverter, which
means it produces the same type of power that is supplied
by an AC wall plug in your house. This clean energy allows
the unit to safely power sensitive electronics throughout your
home.
In addition to this, Pure Sine Wave helps to reduce electri-
cal and audible noise that modied sine wave can’t avoid in
audio amps, TVs, fans, etc.
Q: What kind of battery does the OMEGA use?
A: This product is built with high quality Lithium-Ion battery
cells which have no memory effect and are very durable.
These battery cells can store and release a lot of energy in a
short period of time. They are contained in a protective enclo-
sure with a sophisticated battery management and protection
system that keeps them properly regulated and maintained.
Q: Can the internal battery be replaced?
A: At this time, the battery is NOT user replaceable on the
OMEGA. All repair and replacement service must be com-
pleted by a certied ExpertPower technician.

Q: How do I calculate the solar charging time?
A: Most solar panel users can calculate their recharge times
with the following equation:
Device Watt Hours/Solar Panel Watts = Solar Recharge Times
So theoretically, a 800 watt solar panel would recharge a
1500 watt-hour battery pack in under 2 hours (1500/800 =
1.88)
However, on a good, sunny day, you’ll probably only receive
about 50-75% of your solar panel’s rated wattage, and so a
more accurate calculation would be:
Device Watt Hours / 75% of Solar Panel Watts = Solar
Recharge Time
This would be the best way to accurately calculate the solar
recharge times of your OMEGA.
Q: Can I recharge with solar panels on cloudy days?
A: Solar panels need direct sunlight in order to produce the
maximum solar output. But even in cloudy weather, solar
panels can still absorb solar energy to produce power, though
it will be at a signicantly reduced rate compared to sunny
days — usually between 25 and 40%.
Q: Do I need to use a charge controller with my solar panel?
A: No. The OMEGA has a built-in solar charge controller to
regulate the input voltage and current of your solar panel, so
an external charge controller is not needed.

SUPPORT

Q: Can I recharge the OMEGA with a solar panel through
a window?
A: You can, but it’s not recommended. Some of the sunlight
will be blocked by the iron content in glass. In addition to
this, some of the light gets reected, meaning that a signi-
cant amount of power will be lost. This will vary depending
on the specic glass used as well as other factors, but the
power loss could be in excess of 50%.
Troubleshooting
If your device cannot be charged by the OMEGA, follow
these steps:
1. Ensure the correct Output Port has been switched on. The
LED light on the front panel should be lit up.
2. Fully charge your OMEGA. If battery is below 20% or starts
beeping, charge right away.
3. Verify your device is suitable for use with the OMEGA .
Each output ports has its own max power output. Check the
Specications to ensure your device does not exceed output
capacity.
The OMEGA is made to provide steady power for longer run
times rather than high power at shorter run times.
