1) The minimum displayed weight may also be less than
350 g, however, sometimes it may not be shown on
the display.
2) It may be possible to set the units to „N“, which is not
aweight unit but the force acting vertically towards
the ground, which is equivalent to ten times the wei-
ght in kg.

Weighing procedure
After achieving astable weight of the weighed ballast,
the display will show the weight with the text „LOCK“
with an unchanging weight value. To weigh again,
press the „TARE“ button, which will zero the display
for weighing the next item. Pressing the „ON/OFF“
button will zero the display but it will not turn o the
scale. When weighing, prevent vibrations or shaking
(movements) of the weighed ballast. In the event that
amessage of the type „O-Ld“, „Err“, etc. appears on the
display, this means that the max. measurable weight has
been exceeded. If the message „LO“ appears, this means
that the batteries are at. Replace the batteries for new
ones (remove the cover on the rear part of the device).
Replace the both the batteries at the same time for new
ones. If the device is excessively cold (during subzero
temperatures), the display may not display as well or
the measurement may be unreliable (excessively cold
batteries deliver less current).

yAccording to Directive (EU)2012/19, an
unusable electrical device and battery
must not be thrown out with communal
waste, but rather must be handed over
for ecological disposal at an electrical equipment
collection point because the electrical device and the
battery contain compounds that are hazardous to the
environment. The batteries must be removed from
the electrical equipment, prior the electrical device
being handed over for ecological disposal, at abattery
collection point separately (requirement of Directive
2006/66 EC). You can find information about electrical
equipment waste and battery collection points and
collection conditions at your local town council office
or at your vendor.
Meaning of the „CE“ marking: It meets the respective EU
harmonisation legal directives. The „CE“ marking on the
Extol® 8822000 scale does not cover the MID directive
(EU)2014/32.
Warranty period

sibility for defects) from the date of sale. If requested
by the buyer, the seller is obliged to provide the buyer
with the warranty conditions (rights relating to faulty
performance) in written form according to law.
Wiegevorgang
Nach Erreichen eines stabilen Gewichts der zu wiegenden
Last zeigt das Display das Gewicht mit dem Text „LOCK“
mit einem festen Gewichtswert an. Für einen neuen
Wiegevorgang drücken Sie die Taste „TARE“, dadurch
wird die Anzeige zum neuen Wiegen auf Null zurückgese-
tzt. Durch Drücken der Taste „ON/OFF“ wird die Anzeige
nicht auf Null zurückgesetzt, sondern die Waage wird
ausgeschaltet. Vermeiden Sie beim Wiegen Vibrationen
oder Stöße (Bewegung) der zu wiegenden Last. Wenn
auf dem Display eine Meldung wie „O-Ld“, „Err“ usw.
erscheint, wurde das maximal messbare Gewicht
überschritten. Wenn eine Meldung „LO“ angezeigt wird,
sind die Batterien leer. Wechseln Sie die Batterien durch
neue (Entfernen Sie die Abdeckung auf der Rückseite des
Geräts). Wechseln Sie beide Batterien gleichzeitig durch
neue. Wenn das Gerät unterkühlt ist (bei Frost), kann
die Anzeigefähigkeit des Displays beeinträchtigt oder
die Messung unzuverlässig sein (unterkühlte Batterien
liefern weniger Strom).
