GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and
all instructions.

WORK AREA
Keep work area clean and well lit.
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmo-
liquids, gases or dust.
Keep children and bystanders away while oper-
ating a power tool.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapt-
er plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions.
Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for car-
rying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges and moving
parts.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an
extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
If operating a power tool in a damp location is
unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply.
PERSONAL SAFETY
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you are tired or under

TENSIONING THE SAW CHAIN
WARNING: An electric power tool that is
plugged in can start accidentally. Unplug the
chainsaw before preparing for use or per-
forming maintenance.
WARNING: If the chain is still loose when the
saw is at maximum tension, replace the chain.
IMPORTANT! Only tension the saw chain
when the chain is cool. A hot chain may con-
tract and damage the chain bar or chain as it
cools.

CUTTING
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, wear
proper boots, gloves, head, ear, and eye pro-
tection.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric
shock, make sure the cord insulation is intact
and that the cord is in a dry location where
there is no danger of it being cut or tripped
over.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, al-
ways be sure of footing and hold the chain-
saw rmly with both hands while the motor is
running.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, plan
ahead and plan multiple escape paths before
beginning work.
CAUTION: Establish a bystander safety zone
of 6m prior to operation of this equipment.
Bystander safety zone is a minimum 6m circle
around the operator that must remain free
from bystanders, children and pets . Fell-
ing operations require a larger safety zone
according to the size of the tree, see “Felling
a Tree” section.
PRUNING
CAUTION: Falling limbs may bounce or
“spring back” after they hit the ground so it is
essential to keep the ground clear to provide
multiple retreat paths. Clear the work area
and wear head protection.

FELLING TREES
Always wear hard hat to protect head against
falling branches.
The chain saw may only be used to fell trees
smaller in diameter than the length of the chain
bar.
Secure the work area. Ensure no persons or ani-
mals are in the vicinity of the falling tree.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING: Failure to identify and replace
damaged or worn parts can cause serious per-
sonal injury. Inspect the chainsaw regularly.
Regular inspection is the rst step to proper
maintenance. Follow the guidelines below to
maximize safety and satisfaction. Have any
damaged or excessively worn parts replaced
immediately.

particularly the edges of the groove where
the chain touches the bar, can be extremely

Maintenir le cordon à l’écart de la chaleur, du
lubrifiant, des arêtes ou des parties en mouve-
ment.
Lorsqu’on utilise un outil à l’extérieur, utiliser un
prolongateur adapté à l’utilisation extérieure.
Si l’usage d’un outil dans un emplacement hu-
mide est inévitable, utiliser une alimentation
protégée par un dispositif à courant différentiel
résiduel (RCD).

l’utilisation de l’outil. Ne pas utiliser un outil

Éviter tout démarrage intempestif. S’assurer que
l’interrupteur est en position arrêt avant de bran-
cher l’outil au secteur et/ou au bloc de batteries,
de le ramasser ou de le porter.
Retirer toute clé de réglage avant de mettre l’ou-
til en marche.
Ne pas se précipiter. Garder une position et un
équilibre adaptés à tout moment.
S’habiller de manière adaptée. Ne pas porter de
vêtements amples ou de bijoux. Garder les che-
veux, les vêtements et les gants à distance des
parties en mouvement.
Si des dispositifs sont fournis pour le raccorde-
ment d’équipements pour l’extraction et la ré-
cupération des poussières, s’assurer qu’ils sont
connectés et correctement utilisés.
UTILISATION ET ENTRETIEN DE L’OUTIL
Ne pas forcer l’outil. Utiliser l’outil adapté à
votre application.
Ne pas utiliser l’outil si l’interrupteur ne permet
pas de passer de l’état de marche à arrêt et vice
versa.
Débrancher la fiche de la source d’alimentation
en courant et/ou le bloc de batteries de l’outil
avant tout réglage, changement d’accessoires
ou avant de ranger l’outil.
Conserver les outils à l’arrêt hors de la portée
des enfants et ne pas permettre à des personnes
ne connaissant pas l’outil ou les présentes ins-
tructions de le faire fonctionner.
Observer la maintenance de l’outil. Vérifier qu’il
n’y a pas de mauvais alignement ou de blocage
des parties mobiles, des pièces cassées ou toute
autre condition pouvant affecter le fonctionne-
ment de l’outil. En cas de dommages, faire répa-
rer l’outil avant de l’utiliser.
Garder affûtés et propres les outils permettant
de couper.
Utiliser l’outil, les accessoires et les lames etc.,
conformément à ces instructions, en tenant
compte des conditions de travail et du travail à
réaliser.
