1. Speaker Level Inputs:
The PRO-SUB12A can be connected to your
system multi le ways. Connect the s eaker
level out uts from your am lifier to the L/R
s eaker level in uts on the PRO-SUB12A.
If you are using a mono am lifier you can
connect a single mono s eaker level signal to
the L (left) s eaker in ut. The PRO-SUB12A
s eaker level in uts will acce t signals from
4/8ohm stereo am lifiers and also 25/70volt
mono commercial am lifiers.
TIP) When using a mono 25/70V commercial
am lifier use the 4ohm am lifier out ut to
connect the PRO-SUB12A and run your 25/70V
s eakers from the 25/70V am lifier out uts.
The PRO-SUB12A will not load down or lower
The reflected Im edance to your commercial
Am lifier. This can rovide better bass res onse.
2. Speaker Level Outputs:
When connecting the PRO-SUB12A to an
am lifier s eaker level out uts it is ossible
to use the internal crossover built into the
PRO-SUB12A to roll off low frequency's to your
main left/right stereo s eakers. This can roduce
a cleaner tighter sounding system. This also
eliminates ossible hase cancellations (di s)
and s ikes in frequencies where both the
PRO-SUB12A and you main left/right s eakers
are trying to roduce the same lower frequencies
EXAMPLE: Connect the L/R s eaker out uts
From your stereo am to the PRO-SUB12A
S eaker level in uts. Now connect the
PRO-SUB12A s eaker level out uts to your main
L/R s eakers. Set the FREQ control to a rox
80Hz. Now the PRO-SUB12A will roduce
Frequencies from 80Hz and below and your main
L/R s eakers will roduce frequencies from 80Hz
and above.
TIP) Check the rated frequency res onse of your
main L/R s eakers and look at the frequency
gra h (if available). S eakers may be rated down to
40Hz but may start to roll off stee ly after 80-100Hz.
Set the FRQ control to the oint where the frequencies
of your main L/R s eakers roll off. This will roduce
the best results.

3. Line level Inputs:
The line level in uts are unbalanced -10dB
stereo RCA jacks. Connect the line level
out uts from your mixer, receiver (sub out),
or re-am lifier here. When using a mono
out ut connect to the LEFT in ut only.
4. Line Level Outputs:
The line level out uts are unbalanced -10dB
stereo RCA jacks. Connect the line level
out uts to your stereo am lifier, or another
sub-woofer When using a mono out ut connect
to the LEFT out ut only.
5. Auto ON/OFF Switch:
With this switch in the OFF osition the RCA-
OUT jacks will ass full frequency audio fed
from the RCA-IN jacks. With this switch in the
ON osition the internal crossover will affect the
RCA-OUT signal. Set the FREQ control to your
desired crossover oint. The PRO-SUB12A will
roduce the frequencies below the crossover
oint and the RCA-OUT jack will ass all
frequencies above the crossover oint.
This becomes a “High Pass” and a “Low Pass”
filter.
Example: With a sim le 2.1 setu . I have
read the s ecs on my two front L/R
s eakers and determined that their
frequency res onse is 100Hz-20kHz.
Set the FREQ control to 100Hz, set the AUTO
Switch to ON. Now connect an RCA cable
from the LINE OUT RCA jack to the am that
will be owering my main L/R s eakers.
with this setu the PRO-SUB12A will roduce
the frequencies below 100Hz and the main
L/R s eakers will roduce frequencies from
100 Hz- 20-kHz.

6. Phase 0-180 Degrees:
0 Degrees = the in ut signal will be in hase
with front surround s eakers. 180 degrees
the in ut signal will 180 degrees out of hase
from front surround s eakers. When the
PRO-SUB12A is ositioned on the same wall
as your front s eakers kee the PHASE switch
set to 0 degrees. When the PRO-SUB12A is
ositioned on the o osite wall from your front
s eakers set the PHASE switch to 180 degrees.
7. Power On LED:
When the main ower switch is ON this LED
will be green.
8. Ground Lift Switch:
The ground lift switch hel s eliminate audio hum
that can be caused by ground differentials
between different ieces of equi ment connected
together in the same system. Ground hum is
generally 60Hz hum which is easily noticeable
when the system is turned on. Press the ground
lift switch to minimize or eliminate the hum.
9. Gain:
This is the in ut level control. Adjust the in ut
level control to achieve the correct system level
In relation to the other s eakers in the system.
Always ay attention to the signal limit LED.
If the signal limit LED is flashing your in ut level
Is reaching 0dB. If the gain control is set too high
The am lifier will be over-driven. This can
damage the am lifier. Kee you in ut gain as
low as ossible while achieving your desired
sound ressure level.
10. Signal Limit LED:
When the in ut signal exceeds 0dB the on-board
cli limiter will automatically be engaged. The
cli limiter will limit the in ut signal to avoid
overloading the am lifier. If the Signal Limit LED
flashes momentarily the in ut is within a safe
o erating level. If the signal limit LED stays lit
solidly adjust the in ut gain control down.

11. Frequency 40Hz-120Hz:
The Frequency adjusts the low ass filter for the
sub-woofer am lifier. The PRO-SUB12 will
am lify frequencies below this controls setting.
The PRO-SUB12A is designed to am lify low
frequencies which can not be re roduced by
most stereo or surround s eakers. Example:
check the frequency res onse of the main left
and right s eakers you are using. If the stated
frequency res onse is 100Hz to 20kHz, set the
FREQ control on the PRO-SUB12A to 100Hz.
The PRO-SUB12A will am lify frequencies below
100Hz which will extend the frequency res onse
of your system.
12. AC Power Input Connector:
Connect the su lied AC cable here and connect
to a 110V North American AC wall jack.
13. Fuse:
The PRO-SUB12A is switchable between
110-120V North American AC and 220-240V
Euro ean AC. Use the following fuses:
110-120V = 3am (AL) 250V AC
220-240V = 5am (AL) 250V AC
14. Power:
A lies ower to the am lifier. The am lifier will
remain in standby mode until an in ut
signal is resent at the IN RCA or s eaker
in ut jacks.
15. Voltage Selector:
110V-220V: This should be set to 110V for
North American ower. The PRO-SUB12A
Am lifier is com atible with 110V-60Hz North
American ower voltages and Euro ean
220V-50Hz ower voltages. You should
never need to adjust this switch once it is
set to the correct ower setting.
Your PRO-SUB12A is shi ed from the
factory set to 110V-60Hz North American
ower voltage.
