MAIN FEATURES:
The new remote control you are about to
use is preprogrammed to replace almost all
of the original TV remote controls of this
brand (or group of brands) and,in their basic
functions, most brands of VCR remote con-
trols.
- It fully replaces the originalTV remote con-
trol,including the teletext/fastext (if availa-
ble on the original).
-
It operates simultaneously a TV and a
VCR with no additional operation required
once the respective codes have been inser-
ted.
-The buttons are identified by the symbols of
the original remote control
- It can learn up to 19 additional functions
from another remote control (TV, VCR,
SAT,etc.)
- Its use is further facilitated by the LED
indicator (¿Fig.1) which emits a short
flash, every time a button is pressed to
transmit a command,or a series of flashes,
when performing operations as described
below.
PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
To set the remote control to operate your
TV and/orVCR it is necessary to perform
the simple operations as described in the

4) LEARNING
FUNCTION
General
GR-9200 can learn from the majority of
remote controls on the market (TV,VCR,
SAT,etc.) up to a maximum of 19 functions.
The commands can be memorized on two
memory banks, selected by using the
«LEARN», button, using all buttons except
«SHIFT»,« », «VT» and «LEARN».
NOTE: the «LEARN» button, to select the
second memory bank,is used when wanting
to learn functions that are additional to
those already in use and all the buttons are
full. It is not necessary to select the second
memory bank if you want to replace com-
mands on buttons that are not in use.
A learned command automatically replaces
any pre-existing preprogrammed command.
If you make a mistake and forget to select
the second memory bank ,the original pre-
programmed command can be restored by
simply cancelling the learned command.
In all cases, it is necessary to cancel a lear-
ned command before it can be replaced.
When toggling between memory banks, by
pressing «LEARN»,the LED flashes once or
twice,to indicate which one is active,or not
at all if the second is empty.
4.1) Learning procedure.
a) Place the two remote controls on a level
surface as shown in the figure below.
b) Press and realease the « » but-
ton and enter the code «5555».Wait
for the LED to emit 5 short flashes and
then…
c) If necessary, select the memory bank by
pressing the «LEARN» button (See Note

Check that the batteries have been inserted
with correct polarity.
-The automatic search was unsuccessful?
Repeat the operation and observe the
LED
After a while you will notice that the LED
emits 5 short flashes indicating the end of a
search cycle. Keep the search button
pressed…if your machine still does not
respond and the LED again emits 5 short fla-
shes, abandon this procedure and try inser-
ting manually, one by one, following
the procedures in the previous chap-
ters, all the codes listed in the tables
(Tab.A forTVs,Tab.C. forVCRs).
-You have some difficulties with the learning
function?
Try repositioning the two remote controls
