Thank you for choosing our ortable FENNEK grill. Included in the sco e of delivery are: 1 rear wall,
2 side walls, 2 base lates, 1 coal grate, 1 grill grate, 1 handle, 1 cover late, 1 assembly instructions, 1 Aluminum case for
storage.

3. Assembly and start-up
Pro erly clean all arts rior to first use, in order to remove any otentially existing machining residues. It is
recommended that FENNEK be started u with charcoal and ro erly heated through, before the grill is used for
the first time to cook food.

Once assembled, osition FENNEK in its aluminum case on a level, clean, and heat-resistant surface.
Remove the coal grate and ut u to 4 lighter cubes into the combustion chamber.
Put the coal grate back on and ignite the lighter cubes with the hel of a BBQ lighter or extra long matches.
Add the desired amount of charcoal or briquettes. (Fill height u er edge of the lower ventilation slots)
Once the embers have reached the desired tem erature, attach the grill grate, and lace the food on to of it.
Attach the cover sheet, if it rains or if you want to reflect heat.
Warning: FENNEK may only be used for grilling and heating up food, such as meat, vegetables, or fish. Improper use may lead
to bodily injury or damage to property.
4. Additional features
Handle: The handle also functions as a bottle o ener, and its bottom iece can be used to scra e off any debris on the coal and
grill grates.
Aluminum case: Functions as an underlay to rotect the base from heat and dirt. The fold-u lid allows for additional wind
rotection.

Warnings
Risk of burns
•Cover sheet and grill grate may only be adjusted by using the included handle.
•Only use adequate flammable material made of wood fiber, wood wool / wax, or kerosene-based fire
starters. Do not use fuel aste, as it may leak and cause burns. Do not use other highly volatile fluids such as
s irits or gasoline to ignite charcoal.
•Do not intend to move FENNEK while in use and if not entirely cooled off.
•Any grease or juices that dri down on the hot charcoal can create flames.
•Detach the handle after each use; never leave it attached to the grill grate.
•Do not move or touch FENNEK until all charcoal or briquettes are com letely burned out, all embers are fully
extinguished, and all arts are cool.

How to deal with fire
•In the case of burns: Immediately cool off burnt areas. It is recommended to see a doctor. In the case of
higher-degree burns, call emergency services (emergency number varies from country to country).
•Never have a barbecue in the woods. FENNEK may only be used outdoors and in designated barbecue areas.
•Please kee in mind that there is always the risk of flying s arks that might cause bodily injury or damages to
ro erty.
•It is highly recommended to not start a fire or a barbecue in extremely dry weather conditions. Always
com ly with the a licable fire safety regulations.
•
Never extinguish embers with water, as this might damage the sheets and cause shooting flames. Always
allow embers to burn out, or extinguish them with sand. Always trans ort FENNEK in its aluminum case.
Other information
•FENNEK is intended for outdoor use only. Never o erate it in enclosed rooms.
•FENNEK may only be used for ersonal ur oses; any use for commercial ur oses is rohibited.
•Never o erate FENNEK under the influence of e.g. fatigue, alcohol, drugs, or medication.
•Kee children and animals in a safe distance away from the grill.
•When in use, a distance of at least 3 meters has to be maintained between FENNEK and any combustible
materials. Furthermore, never block any emergency exits, doors, or similar exits.
5. Maintenance and care
It is recommended to regularly clean FENNEK, in order to avoid any grease de osits, which could lead to grease fires. Do not
clean the grill until all charcoal or briquettes are completely burned out, all embers are fully extinguished, and all parts are
cool. It is recommended to roughly clean all arts by wi ing them off with a er. The arts can then be ut into the dishwasher
for ro er cleaning. Before the next use, lease ensure that there are no residues from cleaners. Please do not clean the case
with an scratchers or abrasive cleaners in order to avoid scratches. Caution: Parts can have shar edges.

6. Safety information
CAUTION:
•FENNEK may not be o erated by children and eo le with restricted sychological and/or hysical abilities.
Peo le with restricted abilities as well as animals must maintain an adequate safety distance away from
FENNEK.
•
Im ro er use can lead to burns and injuries from getting jammed, crushed or cut. This a lies to all arts as
well as the aluminum case. Always follow the assembly instructions and observe the hel ful hints and notes
in the instructions for use.
•
Always wear barbecue mitts and an a ron, and use ro er barbecue tools for ositioning and turning the
food.
•Fluids and other substances, es ecially combustible materials, can lead to deflagration or shooting flames.
Never add such substances to embers or food.
•The burning of any material always causes smoke, and thus, creates carbon monoxide, which can lead to
smoke oisoning and death. Never use FENNEK in enclosed rooms. FENNEK is designed for outdoor use only.
A first aid kit as well as a fire extinguisher should always be closeby when having a barbecue.
7. Service
•The stainless steel lates might slightly war due to inconsistent heat ex ansion.
•The im act of heat stress on the material can cause discoloration.
•Burning resinous or wet firewood can result in black discoloration that might burn into the roduct
ermanently.
•Discoloration and traces of usage, such as scratches or slight war s of the lates, do not affect the function of
the grill and do not constitute a claim under the warranty.
•No changes or modifications may be made to the FENNEK grill. Any such changes or modifications may ose a
otential safety hazard.
•Re airs may only be executed by the manufacturer.

8. Disposal
Always kee the environment in mind: The ackaging as well as the layer ads can be thrown into your a er waste bin or be
dis osed at your local a er collection oint. Aluminum and other metals are valuable commodities. Please take them to your
local recycling center or de ot, or to one of the numerous scra yards. Thank you!
