Before starting any operation it is compulsory to read this instruction manual. The guarantee
of smooth operation and full performance of the instrument is highly dependent on the
application of all the instructions contained in this manual.
Operator Qualification
The workers responsible for using this tool must have all the necessary information,
education and receive adequate training regarding safety, including:
a) The conditions of use of the equipment;
b) Foreseeable abnormal situations, pursuant to Article 73 of Legislative Decree
81/08.
We guarantee the tool's conformity to specifications and technical instructions
described in the Manual on the date of issue, as listed on this page; however, the tool
may be subject to potentially major technical changes in the future, without the
Manual being updated.

2 USE OF THE INSTRUMENT
Using the tool is very simple. To turn on the spirit level-protractor, simply press the ON/OFF
button located on the side of the display (Ref. C Figure 2). The first time the button is
pressed the instrument is turned on, when the button is press again it will turn off the
instrument.
There is a button on the keypad used to turn on the backlight of the display (ref A) and the
HOLD button (ref B) to keep a value displayed even after the angle has been changed.

Turning off the protractor
The goniometer is not equipped with an automatic switching-off function. So be sure to
manually turn off the instrument after use to conserve battery life.
To perform the measurement, position the body of the instrument on a measuring surface
and bring the surface plate into contact with another surface creating an angle with the first
and leading to a value being displayed. The instrument is also has a spirit level with two vials
to check the horizontal level of the surface against which the angular measurement will be
performed.

It is possible to vary the opening strength of the surface plate by
adjusting the knob on the rotation fulcrum. Turning the knob
clockwise will tighten the mechanism and as a result the
movement of the surface plate will be more difficult but will
maintain a more stable position; by turning the knob anti-
clockwise the mechanism will be loosened and as a result the
movement of the surface plate will be easier but will maintain a
less stable position.

2.1 Replacing the battery
When the battery inside the instrument is uncharged, it will need to be replaced. The battery
compartment is located at the end of the instrument (Ref. 4 Figure 1). To change the internal
battery it is necessary to remove the cover and extract the battery from the circuit of the
instrument. Then insert a new battery of the same type as the previous one, connect it to the
power supply of the instrument and close the battery compartment.
Battery
If the device is not to be used for a period of time of one month or more, remove the battery.
The battery may leak liquids that would damage the device.
