Safety information for electrical operating appliances for
use in industrial heavy current facilities
Dieses Informationsblatt mit den Warnhinweisen gilt als
Zusatz zur produktspezifischen Betriebsanleitung und muss
aus Sicherheitsgründen besonders beachtet werden.
This Information Sheet with its warnings shall apply in
addition to the operating instructions specific to the product
and for safety reasons particular attention must be paid to it.

Die elektrischen Maschinen bzw. Geräte sind Betriebsmittel
zum Einsatz in industriellen Starkstromanlagen. Während des
Betriebes haben diese Betriebsmittel gefährliche,
spannungsführende blanke Teile, ggf. auch bewegte bzw.
rotierende Teile. Sie könnten deshalb, z.B. bei unzulässigem
Entfernen der erforderlichen Abdeckungen, bei unsach-
gemäßem Einsatz, falscher Bedienung oder unzureichender
Wartung, schwerste gesundheitliche oder materielle Schäden
verursachen.
The electrical machines and/or appliances are operating
appliances for use in industrial heavy current facilities. When
being operated, the appliances have dangerous live parts,
and in some cases moving or rotating parts as well. They can
therefore cause serious injury or damage, e.g. if the
necessary coverings are removed without cause, if they are
operated in an improper manner, of they are incorrectly
operated or if they are insufficiently maintained.
Die für die Sicherheit der Anlage Verantwortlichen müssen
deshalb gewährleisten, dass nur qualifizierte Personen mit
Arbeiten an den Maschinen bzw. Geräten beauftragt werden;
diese Personen u.a. die mitgelieferten Bedienungs-
anleitungen und übrigen Unterlagen der Produktdokumen-
tation bei allen entsprechenden Arbeiten stets verfügbar
haben und verpflichtet werden, diese Unterlagen konsequent
zu beachten;
Arbeiten an den Maschinen bzw. Geräten oder in deren Nähe
für nichtqualifizierte Personen untersagt werden.
Those responsible for safety in the plant must be therefore
guarantee:
that only qualified persons work with the machines and/or
appliances;
that the operating instructions and other documentation
delivered with the machine/appliance are available to such
persons at all times and that they are obliged to observe the
regulations contained therein;
that unqualified persons are forbidden to work at or near the
machine/appliances.
Qualifiziertes Personal sind Personen, die aufgrund ihrer
Ausbildung, Erfahrung und Unterweisung sowie ihrer
Kenntnisse über einschlägige Normen, Bestimmungen,
Unfallverhütungsvorschriften und Betriebsverhältnisse, von
dem für die Sicherheit der Anlage Verantwortlichen berechtigt
worden sind, die jeweils erforderliche Tätigkeiten auszuführen
und dabei mögliche Gefahren erkennen und vermeiden
können (Definitionen für Fachkräfte siehe auch VDE 0105
oder IEC 364).
Unter anderem sind auch Kenntnisse über Erste-Hilfe-Maß-
nahmen und die örtlichen Rettungseinrichtungen erforderlich.
Für Arbeiten an Starkstromanlagen ist das Verbot des
Einsatzes nichtqualifizierter Personen z.B. in DIN VDE 0105
oder IEC 364 geregelt.
Qualified persons are persons who, by reason of their
training, experience and instructions, as well as their
knowledge of the relevant standards, regulations, accident
prevention regulations and operating relations have been
empowered by the person(s) responsible for plant safety to
carry out the necessary work and are able to recognise and
avoid possible dangers (definitions for skilled workers –cv.
VDE 0105 or IEC 364 as well).
Among other things, acquaintance with first-aid measures
and the local rescue devices is required. The prohibition on
the employment of unqualified personnel in work on heavy
current facilities is regulated, for example, in DIN VDE 0105
or IEC 364.

For the sake of clarity the operating instructions cannot
contain all the detailed information on possible model
variations, and particularly cannot take into consideration
every possible case of installation, operation or
maintenance. For this reason the Operating Instructions can
basically only contain information which is required for the
correct use of the machine or appliances by qualified
personnel (see above) in industrial applications.
Falls im Sonderfall bei beabsichtigtem Einsatz der Maschinen
oder Geräte in nicht industriellen Bereichen eventuell erhöhte
Anforderungen gestellt werden (z.B. Berührungsschutz gegen
Kinderfinger o.ä.), müssen diese Bedingungen bei der
Montage durch zusätzliche Schutzmaßnahmen anlagenseitig
gewährleistet werden.
If in special cases more exacting demands are made for the
planned utilisation of the machine or appliance in non-
industrial areas (e.g. child-proof safety devices or similar)
these conditions must be fulfilled on assembly by the
customer with additional safety devices.
Bei diesbezüglichen Unklarheiten, insbesondere bei
fehlenden produktspezifischen Detailinformationen, müssen
die erforderlichen Klärungen herbeigeführt werden. Bitte
hierzu grundsätzlich Maschinentypenbezeichnung und

detailed information specific to the product is lacking,

Es wird empfohlen für Serviceaufgaben die Unterstützung der
FIBRO-Serviceabteilung in Anspruch zu nehmen.

Lieferungen (Transportschäden), zum langfristigen Einlagern
und Konservieren von Maschinen, zur Fundamentprüfung,

von Maschinen, Installationsmaßnahmen u.v.a., sind
Detailinformationen in der Betriebsanleitung enthalten, die
erforderlichenfalls über die Vertriebsstellen bezogen werden
können.

incoming deliveries (transport damage) long-term storage
and conservation of machines, checking foundations, fitting

To prevent breakdowns it is necessary that the prescribed
maintenance, inspection and revision measures are carried
out regularly by experienced servicing staff (see above).
Veränderungen gegenüber dem Normalbetrieb (höhere
Leistungsaufnahme, Temperaturen, Schwingungen,
Geräusche usw. oder Ansprechen der Überwachungs-
einrichtungen) lassen vermuten, dass die Funktion

Changes to normal operations (increased power
consumption, higher temperatures, increased vibrations,
noises etc. or responses from the monitoring equipment)
can mean that functions are impaired. To prevent
breakdowns, which can directly or indirectly lead to serious
injuries or damage, the maintenance staff must be informed
without delay.

Da wir keine betriebsfertige Maschine oder Anlage, sondern
ein Bauelement zu einer solchen liefern, ist es uns nicht
möglich, Schutzeinrichtungen ohne Kenntnis der Umgebung
des Rundschalttisches standardmäßig vorzusehen.
Since we deliver only a construction element rather than a
ready-for-operation machine or plant we are unable to
provide any guards for the indexing table without knowing
the ambient conditions.
Wir haben in unserem Zubehörprogramm für alle Baugrößen
und Antriebsvarianten verschiedene Abdeckungen über
Zahnriemen, Keilriemen, Ketten und Endschalter-
betätigungen, entweder zum Zweck des Berührungsschutzes
oder auch in abgedichteter Ausführung.
Our accessory line includes for all sizes and drive variants
various guards over timing belts, V-belts, chains and limit
switch operation either as contact guards or in sealed
design.
Wenn Sie den Rundschalttisch ohne ausreichende
Schutzeinrichtungen bestellt haben, sind diese unbedingt von
Ihnen vorzusehen.
If you ordered the indexing table without sufficient guarding,
it will be absolutely necessary for you to provide same.

Description of software sequence
Option CW rotation
General
An internal FIBRO software programme drives the FIBROTOR indexing table by a frequency inverter via 5 inputs
and 2 outputs.
Prior to the delivery the frequency inverter is adjusted to the indexing table by FIBRO in the factory.
The software is programmed in a way that via the actuation the maximum or minimum speed is run depending on
the individual sequence situation.
Sequence
When selecting DI01 „CW rotation“ and application of signal of proximity switch DI04 „-S10 table top at stall“ as
well as of signals via the outputs DO01 „enable“ and DO02 „fault“, the cycle of a rotary motion can be realized
via a start signal DI03 „start“.
After the start signal the output DO01 „-S10 table top at stall“ is removed.
The rotary motion is stopped via the input DI05 „-S12 motor off“ and the output DO01 is set after the input DI04 is
applied. After the renewed start signal the next rotary motion is effected.
Fault=0/ready for operation=1
As long as there is no fault, the output DO02 „fault“ has a set output signal.
In case of „fault“ during the rotating phase the indexing table approaches the stall phase at minimum speed after a
start and application of a signal at the input DI01.
If there is no signal at DI04 „-S10 table top at stall“ and DI05 „-S12 motor off“ a rotary motion cannot be
activated. A mechanical intervention or checking of the cam setting is required via the proximity switches.
EMERGENCY-OFF circuit!
In conjunction with an emergency-off loop the power between the frequency inverter and the AC brake motor must
be switched off and the inputs DI01 (CW rotation), DI02 (CCW rotation) and DI03 (start) must be switched to zero-
potential. After switching the emergency-off loop on again, the rotary motion can be continued as described under
“Sequence”.

Option CCW rotation
General
An internal FIBRO software programme drives the FIBROTOR indexing table by a frequency inverter via 5 inputs
and 2 outputs.
Prior to the delivery the frequency inverter is adjusted to the indexing table by FIBRO in the factory.
The software is programmed in a way that via the actuation the maximum or minimum speed is run depending on
the individual sequence situation.
Sequence
When selecting DI02 „CCW rotation“ and application of signal of proximity switch DI04 „-S10 table top at stall“
as well as of signals via the outputs DO01 „enable“ and DO02 „fault“, the cycle of a rotary motion can be realized
via a start signal DI03 „start“.
After the start signal the output DO01 „-S10 table top at stall“ is removed.
The rotary motion is stopped via the input DI05 „-S12 motor off“ and the output DO01 is set after the input DI04 is
applied. After the renewed start signal the next rotary motion is effected.
Fault=0/ready for operation=1
As long as there is no fault, the output DO02 „fault“ has a set output signal.
In case of „fault“ during the rotating phase the indexing table approaches the stall phase at minimum speed after a
start and application of a signal at the input DI02.
If there is no signal at DI04 „-S10 table top at stall“ and DI05 „-S12 motor off“ a rotary motion cannot be
activated. A mechanical intervention or checking of the cam setting is required via the proximity switches.
EMERGENCY-OFF circuit!
In conjunction with an emergency-off loop the power between the frequency inverter and the AC brake motor must
be switched off and the inputs DI01 (CW rotation), DI02 (CCW rotation) and DI03 (start) must be switched to zero-
potential. After switching the emergency-off loop on again, the rotary motion can be continued as described under
“Sequence”.

Additional remarks for the option CW –CCW operation
Remarks for CW –CCW operation
CW –CCW operation means the free selection of the directional sequence. The following cycle has to be pre-
selected.
The indexing table can be cycled to the selected direction via external actuation (selection switch, PLC outputs) of
the inputs DI01 or DI02 of the frequency inverter.
For the description of the software sequence refer to page 3 and 4.
Prior to the start the inputs of the frequency inverter must be set to high signal >2ms.
Remarks with Potentiometer
Once the software with potentiometer is needed, can you talk about the speed control (potentiometer)
Half of motor speed to full speed motor-drive set. If you want to below half speed drive, so you need an additional
fans, as well as additional built-in motor thermal protection.
