fall unter Spannung stehen, Kurzschlüsse und Anschluss an nicht zulässiger Spannung, unzulässig hohe Lufeuchgkeit
und Bildung von Kondenswasser können zu gefährlichen Körperströmen und damit zu Verletzungen führen. Beugen Sie
diesen Gefahren vor, indem Sie die folgenden Maßnahmen durchführen: Setzen Sie das Gerät nur in geschlossenen,
sauberen und trockenen Räumen ein. Vermeiden Sie in der Umgebung Feuchgkeit, Nässe und Spritzwasser. Führen
Sie Verdrahtungsarbeiten nur in spannungslosem Zustand durch. Achten Sie beim Herstellen elektrischer Verbindun-
gen auf ausreichenden Leitungsquerschni. Nach der Bildung von Kondenswasser warten Sie vor dem Einsatz zwei
Stunden Akklimasierungszeit ab.

To reduce the risk of electric shock and injuries do not touch parts that carry voltage. Do not touch conducve
material that might carry voltage in case of a fault, e.g. short circuit, improper input voltage, excessive humidity and
accumulaon of condensate. To reduce these risks, keep these safety precauons in mind: Use this module only
indoors and in a clean and dry environment. Avoid moisture and splash water in close proximity. Switch o the voltage
supply before carrying out wiring work. Only use wire with sucient cross-secon. Wait for 2 hours aer accumulaon
of condensate.

Besmmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Die WS2811-3out Treiber, sind für den Einsatz im Modellbau, insbesondere in digitalen Modellbahnanlagen, entspre-
chend den Besmmungen dieser Anleitung vorgesehen. Jeder andere Gebrauch ist nicht besmmungsgemäß und
führt zum Verlust des Garaneanspruchs.

The normal use of the WS2811-3out Driver is for model making especially digital model railways according to this
manual. Every improper use leads to loss of warranty.

Die Plane ist mit einem Controller IC
vom Typ WS2811 bestückt, durch den
drei LEDs angesteuert werden können.
Bei den LED-Ausgängen handelt es
sich um eine Konstantstromquelle, so
dass bei der Verwendung der internen
5V Versorgung keine zusätzlichen
Vorwiderstände benögt werden.
Die Helligkeit der LEDs wird über die
NeoControl eingestellt bzw. gesteuert
(siehe Beschreibungen zur NeoControl
bzw. BiDiB-Wizard im BiDiB-Wiki).
Achtung:
Beim Ausfall eines WS2811_3out Treibers,
schlechter Busverbindung oder bei Kurz-
schluss an den Löt-Pads des WS2811-Bus
sind alle folgende WS2811-Treiber bzw.
LEDs ohne Funkon.

Zwei Anschlussvarianten zur Auswahl
Die Plane ist einseig bestückt und auf der Rückseite
unbestückt. Mit Hilfe eines doppelseigen Klebebands können
Sie die Baugruppe direkt am Geschehen xieren, z.B. in einem
Gebäude. Das direkte Platzieren reduziert erheblich den
Verkabelungsaufwand. Sie können Ihre Anschlussleitungen für
LEDs und W2811-Bus direkt auf den Löt-Pads verlöten oder mit
den beiligenden Sleisten steckbar machen.
Der Treiber WS2811_3out ist geeignet für die NeoControl-
Baugruppe um externe LED-Leuchtmiel (z.B. Hausbeleuchtung,
RGB-Eekte oder Lichtsignale) anzusteuern.
Es können auch mehrere LEDs in
Reihe geschaltet werden. In den
meisten Anwendungsfällen reicht
die interne 5V Spannung aber
nicht aus (LED Forward-Voltage
im Datenbla der LED beachten).
In diesen Fällen kann mit
einer externen 12V Versorgung
gearbeitet werden, beachten Sie
aber den Vorwiderstand Ihrer
LED-Reihenschaltung.
Die Abbildung zeigt, wie Sie Ihre WS2811_3out Treiber
mit der NeoControl verbinden können. Je nach verwen-
deten NeoControl Firmware können mehrere 20 Stück
dieser Module mit den Kanälen A und B der Baugruppe
verbunden werden.
The board is ed with a controller IC
WS2811 that can control three LEDs. The
LED outputs are constant current sources
therefore there is no need for any series
resistor if the internal power supply at
5 V is used.
The brightness of the LEDs is controlled
by the NeoControl module (see the
descripon of the NeoControl and BiDiB-
Wizard on the BiDiB wiki webpage.
Warning:
In case of one faulty WS2811_3out driver,
bad connecon on the bus or short circuit
between the solder pads all following
WS2811 driver and LEDs will fail to work.

Two connecon variants to choose from
The printed circuit board is only populated on one side and le
unpopulated on the other side. By using double-sided type the
module can be xed where it is needed e.g. inside a building.
The mounng close to the LEDs reduces the wiring eort. It is
possible to solder the cables directly onto the solder pads or to
use the supplied pin headers to make it pluggable.
The driver WS2811_3out can be used with the NeoControl
module to control external LED light sources (e.g. home lighng,
RGB light eects or train signals).
It is also possible to connect
several LEDs in series. In this
case the supplied voltage of 5 V
oen is insucient (take note of
the LED forward voltage in the
datasheet of the LED).
In that situaon it is necessary
to use an external 12 V power
supply. But make sure to use the
correct series resistor.
The gure shows how to connect the WS2811_3out with
a NeoControl. Depending on the NeoControl rmware
up to 20 of this modules can be connected on channels
A and B in total.
