screw is3mm indiameter and 14mm long. Some round
parts may belabeledasan"M3 Washer" (a washer with a
3mm inside diameter) or an"M4 x 8 Bushing" (a bushing

SetScrews have a hex head that requires a hex
wrench.Theseare forjoiningpartswherethe
headof a screw may interfere with other parts.
Flathead (F/H) screws have a fine thread and a
tapered head. This allows thehead of the screw to
beflushwiththe part it isholding so that the screw
head does not catch on anything.
Screws have a finethread and are used with nuts
most of the time. They are forhighstress joints
wherestrength isrequired.
Acap screw isused where two pieces of metal
aretobe joined.Thehexheadallowsa hex
wrenchtobe used,providingmoretorque
fortightening.
Aself-tapping (S/T)screw has a coarse thread
and isused to thread into plastic. Becareful not to
tightenthescrewtoomuch.Thismaystrip
the plastic.
IMPORTANT SCREW INFORMATION:
Donot use excessiveforcewhen tightening self-tapping
screws into plastic. Over-tightening willcause the threaded
portion of the plastic to strip. Itisrecommended to stop
tightening when some resistance isfeltasthe head of the
screw contacts the part. Avoidusing power screwdrivers
when assembling your kit. They tend to overtighten screws.
Do notuse threadlockingcompoundon self-tapping
screws. The thread locking compound may damage the
plastic. Use thread locking compound only on screws that
are fastened with a nutor threaded into a metal surface.
