2 General safety instructions
2.1 Safety instructions for installation and
operating personnel
This translation of the original instructions contains
important safety information which must be heeded at all
times during installation, operation and maintenance.
Non-observance can result in the following risks to persons
and the environment as well as in damage to the room air
filter:
•Failure of critical functions of the room air filter
Danger to persons from electrical or mechanical
effects as well as from chemical reactions.
Danger to the environment owing to the leakage of
hazardous substances.
Requirements for operating personnel
The device should only be operated by persons who
•Have read and fully understood this translation of the
original Instructions
•Are aged over 18
•Have no physical, sensory or intellectual impairments
•Are not under the influence of drugs (including alcohol)
All repairs to electrical equipment must be carried out by
the manufacturer.
Improper repairs or modifications to the equipment can
lead to risks.
Before installation / start-up:
•Read this translation of the original instructions
carefully.
•Make sure that installation and operating personnel
are adequately trained.
•Make sure the contents of the original instructions are
fully understood by the responsible persons.
•Define areas of responsibility and competence.
•Prepare a maintenance schedule.
During operation of the system:
•Keep this translation of the original instructions handy
at the place of use.
•Heed the safety instructions. Always operate the room
air filter in accordance with its ratings.
If in doubt:
•Consult the manufacturer.

4 Intended use
The room air filter may only be used to filter airborne
particles as well as aerosol-borne pollutants such as
viruses, pollen or bacteria in closed rooms. It should be
installed on a level, dry surface; temperature range +10 to
+40°C (above freezing point).
•The room air filter may only be operated within the
specific performance limits (→Technical data).
•The room air filter may only be operated in closed
rooms of a suitable size (e.g. offices, meeting rooms,
waiting rooms, etc.).
•Observance of the original instructions and compliance
with the maintenance and repair instructions are
essential preconditions of use for the intended
purpose.
•All forms of use which deviate from or exceed the
limits of use described above are considered to be
contrary to the intended purpose. The manufacturer is
not liable for any damage resulting from such use.
5 Foreseeable misuse
No liability will be accepted by the manufacturer if the
equipment has been modified as well as in the event of
improper mounting, installation, start-up, operation,
servicing or repair.
Only original parts supplied by the manufacturer are
approved as spare parts or accessories. Any spare parts or
accessories not supplied by the manufacturer have not
been tested for operation and could be detrimental to the
reliability of the equipment. The manufacturer is not liable
for any damage resulting from the use of non-approved
spare parts or accessories.
Reasonably foreseeable misuse includes:
•Operation outside the manufacturer’s specification
•Operation in a faulty condition
•Operation without protective devices or with protective
devices which are faulty
•All modifications or changes to the room air filter
without the manufacturer’s written approval
•Manipulation of protective devices
•Operation in potentially explosive atmosphere
•Operation in areas with a risk of fire

to approx. 45 m2(max. 70 m2)in size
(max. purification in booster mode).
•According to current RKI studies, with 5-
fold exchange (5 air changes per hour)
and a room height of 2.5 m, 15 minutes
without air purification mean an increased
risk of infection.

8 Transport and storage
WARNING!
Risk of injury if the equipment is tilted!
•Do not install the room air filter on an uneven surface
and be careful not to tilt it during transport.
•Two people are required to transport the equipment!
As-delivered condition
•Completely assembled, packed and upright on a pallet.
Storage
•Always store in the original packaging.
•Always store in a dry, frost-free room.
Transport
•Always transport upright on a pallet.
•Do not remove the straps until the equipment reaches its
place of use.
•Separate the packaging material and dispose of it in an
environmentally responsible way.
9 Installing the room air filter
WARNING!
Risk of reduced efficiency!
•The equipment should always be installed in a dry,
frost-free environment!
•The equipment is not suitable for outdoor use!
WARNING!
Danger of tripping!
•Lock the casters at the place of use!
•Lay the power cable so that no-one can trip over it!
A minimum distance of 2 metres is required
from the wall!
•Ensure that the air outlet is unobstructed at all times. It
must neither be closed nor altered.
•Install the equipment such that the air and heat vents
cannot be obstructed.
9.1 Electrical connections
DANGER!
Danger of electric shock!
•Risk of serious or fatal injury in case of
contact with electrical components.
The plug must be removed in order to
disconnect the room air filter from the
mains!
The power cable must have the following
fuse protection:
Time delay 6.3 A / 250 V
•Compare the data indicated on the name-plate with the
values for the power supply system.
•Avoid using extension cables.
•Connect the plug to the mains.
The system is now ready for operation.

10 Start-up / normal mode
WARNING!
•Disconnect the mains plug while working
on the equipment!
1.) Connect the plug to the mains.
The system is now ready for operation.
2.) Press the on / off switch (green lamp).
The system starts up.
3.) Set the power level switch to I or II.
Level 1 (I): Normal mode (600 m3/h)
Level 2 (II): Booster mode (900 m3/h)
Level 2 should only be selected in noise-
insensitive locations or only for short periods!
The system operates at higher output
(booster mode) when level 2 is selected.
The noise level is also higher
(approx. 52 dB(A)).
Operating the device at higher output
can shorten the service life of the filter
element.
11 Replacing the filter element
DANGER!
Danger of electric shock when replacing
the filter element!
•Disconnect the equipment from the
power supply.
DANGER!
Danger when the fan is working!
•Disconnect the equipment from the
power supply prior to replacingthe filter
element!
WARNING!
Danger if pollutants are inhaled!
•Wear a suitable face mask!
WARNING!
Danger of crushing!
•Be careful not to trap parts of the body between the
filter and the housing while installing the filter element!
Two people are recommended to replace
the filter element.
The filter element can also be replaced by
the manufacturer. Please contact the
manufacturer for more information.
Contact the manufacturer of the room air
filter in case of severe fouling or damage!
1.) Unpack the spare filter element and place it ready.
Keep the packaging at hand for the used filter
element.

WARNING!
•The equipment may only be operated using the cable
which is supplied with it!
2.) Disconnect the room air filter from the mains.
3.) Loosen the locking screws for the housing.
4.) Remove the grille.
5.) Lift off the used filter element.

6.) Place the used filter element in the packaging
provided for this purpose.
7.) Seal the packaging ready for disposal.

8.) Inspect the inside of the housing for dust, fouling
or damage.
9.) Attach the original spare filter element to the
housing.
10.) Fit the grille back on again.

11.) Insert and tighten the locking screws.
12.) Affix the timestrip sticker in a clearly visible
location on the housing and if necessary remove
the old timestrip sticker.
13.) Connect the plug to the mains again.
The system is now ready for operation.
12 Repair
DANGER!
Risk of injury to persons or damage to
property in the event of improper repair!
•All repairs must be carried out by the
manufacturer!
13 Disposal
WARNING!
Danger if pollutants are inhaled!
•Wear a suitable face mask!
Seal the packaging properly ready for
disposal!
•Segregate the room air filter prior to disposal
(e.g. at your local recycling centre).
•Place the used filter element in the packaging and
dispose of it in an environmentally responsible way as
household or commercial waste.
