1. Introduction
Original manual
This manual is FKI Fast Food Teknik A/S translation to the original instructions for
Unitoaster, hereinafter called UT.
Purpose
The purpose of this manual is to ensure proper installation, use, handling and mainte-
nance of contact grill.
Accessibility
The instructions must be kept in a known place for staff where it is easily accessible to op-
erators and maintenance personnel.
Knowledge
It is the employer's (owner of the UT) obligation to ensure that all who serve, main-
tain or repair the contact grill, read the instructions, at least those parts of it that are rele-
vant to their work.
Additionally, all who serve, maintain or repair the UT, must themselves seek information in
the instructions.

3. Overview and application
3.1. The UT purpose and intended use
Unitoaster type UT are designed for heating of hot dog buns, French Hot Dog bread and
half buns.
3.2. Warning on foreseeable misuse
The toaster must not be used for burgers, sausages, pizza, baguettes or other products
containing fat, oil or the like.

3.4. Placement of the contact grill
The contact grill must be set up on a table or the like in an appropriate working height.
Operation is done from the front of the UT.
3.4.1. Personal safety equipment
It is recommended to use gloves during the operation of the UT since there are several hot
surfaces on the contact grill.
4. Operating
The toaster is switched on by turning the power switch on the front of the toaster to the ON
position.
The toaster can be equipped with variable conveyor speed (V-model) which are adjusted
with a control knob.
The toaster has a power "Saving" mode that is activated with the switch button. The func-
tion conveyor and the two rear heaters to save power when the toaster is not used.
The bread is placed on the conveyor belt and run automatically through the machine and
into the bread tray.

ECO-model:
The toaster is also available in an en-
ergy friendly model where the start / stop
of the conveyor belt and the heating ele-
ments is done automatically, using a
non-contact sensor.
The toaster starts when placing the
bread on the belt and stops after about 2
minutes. Each time a new bread is put
on the belt its activates a new two-mi-
nute period and the toaster will continue
to run until the last bread comes out of
the toaster.
5. Maintenance, fault-finding and repair
5.1. Cleaining and order
It is important that the reflector regularly emptied of crumbs and bread residues, otherwise
these will burn themselves onto the surface.
Daily cleaning is performed when the contact grill has cooled of. The waste tray emptied of
toaster and washed with a damp cloth. The toaster cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth on
the outside.
5.2. Repair
Authorized service personnel with knowledge of electrical appliances should always per-
form repair.

7. End of use
7.1. Scrapping
The Unitoaster is marked with the above recycling symbol (EC Directive 2002/96/EC) and
must be disposed in accordance with your country order.
This means that when the product becomes obsolete, you should dispose it after the local
municipality’s rules, e.g. in unsorted waste stream.
