generation 2-6 iPod Nano, generation 1-4 iPod Touch, and iPhone (all models). Audio and video
from an iPod can connect to aircrafts IFE system for distribution to aircraft speakers,
headphones, and monitors for your listening and viewing pleasure. The unit can be mounted
both horizontally and vertically using a safety retaining bar. The docking station can be selected
from any Flight Display System Cabin Control Module. In order to maximize your media library
files, up to 15 FDIPD-MD Docks can be used with a Cabin Management System.
Front View
Additional Information
The FDIPD-MD Version 2 operates much like any Audio and Video source. Any Cabin Control
Module in the aircraft can be configured to select the FDIPD-MD Version 2. The audio from the

can be accessed at seat monitors or bulkhead monitors. All FDIPD-MD Version 2 units are built to
stock in a standard gloss Sky White finish with the cable harness exiting as shown in Figure 1. If
plating or an alternate cable exit option (as shown on Drawing MSD-130 at the end of this manual)
is preferred, please contact your local Flight Display Systems sales representative.
If multiple FDIPD-MD Version 2 units are utilized, the user will have multiple iPod Audio/Video
sources to choose from. The FDIPD-MD Version 2 can be selected on FDCCM family units (all
