Information for these operating instructions
These operating instructions are a component of the Sweeper FKM 2400 A1
(henceforth designated as the appliance) and they supply you with important
information about the intended use, safety and assembly as well as operation
of the appliance.
The operating instructions must be kept available in the vicinity of the appliance
at all times.
They are to be read and applied by everyone assigned to operate the appliance.
Retain these operating instructions and pass them on with the appliance to any
future owners.

of images, also in an altered state, is not permitted without the express written
consent of the manufacturer.

Intended use
This sweeper is intended exclusively for the sweeping of flat and dry surfaces,
such as driveways, patios, courtyards, etc.. This appliance is intended for use
only in domestic environments, not for commercial purposes. No liability will be
accepted for damage caused by misuse or improper handling, unauthorised
modification or the use of force.
No warranty claims of any kind will be accepted for damage caused by improper
use, incompetent repairs, unauthorised modifications or for the use of unapproved
relacement parts. The operator alone bears the liability.

Basic Safety Instructions
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety instructions:
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)■
with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or deficiences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction on how the
appliance is to be used.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.■

Before taking it into use, the appliance and its working equipment is to be■
checked in regard to its orderly condition and operational safety. If the
condition is not "without fault", it may not be used.
The operator is required to use the appliance as intended. The operator is■
required to take into account the local conditions and his/her operating style
when working with the appliance, in particular with regard to third parties,
and especially towards children.
This appliance is not suitable for the sweeping up of health-hazardous■
substances.
This appliance is not suitable for the sweeping up of liquids.

Do not sweep up burning or smouldering objects, such as cigarettes, matches■
or similar.
If glass, metal or other materials have to be removed from the collecting■
container, please wear a pair of stout gloves.
NEVER sweep up explosive liquids, flammable gases or undiluted acids and■
solvents! These include petrol, paint thinner or heating oil, which, by swirling
with the air, can form explosive vapours or mixtures, as well as acetone, undiluted
acids and solvents, as these can attack the materials used on the appliance.

Unpacking
Remove the appliance and these operating instructions from the carton.♦
Remove all packaging material.♦
WARNING
Packaging material should not be used as a play thing by children. There is►
a risk of suffocation!
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed according to the regionally established regulations.
NOTICE
If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty►
period so that in the case of a warranty claim you can package the appliance
properly for return.

NOTICE
The plate brushes► 3and the assembly material are stowed in the collecting
container 5.
Step 1
Firmly screw the plate brushes♦ 3with 3 screws each to the acceptor plates.
Step 2
Insert the push bar brackets♦ into the receiver slots and then tighten them
firmly with the mounting screws .

Step 3
Insert the push bar lower element♦ 2into the push bar mounting and
tighten it down with 2 lock nuts .
Step 4
Insert the push bar upper element♦ into the push bar lower element 2
and screw it firmly into place with 2 mounting screws and 2 lock nuts .

Step 5
Insert the collecting container♦ 5into the sweeper.
Handling and operation
By pushing the sweeper the plate brushes 3and sweeping brushes are set into
rotatation via belt drives. The rotating plate brushes 3sweep the dirt to the
middle. The dirt is then lifted up by the two sweeping brushes and carried into
the collecting container 5.
Height adjustment of the plate brushes
Depending on the application and wear and tear, the plate brushes 3can be
steplessly adjusted in their operating height.
To do this, turn the adjustment screw 4to the right to raise the plate brushes 3,
resp. to the left to lower the plate brushes 3.
Height adjustment of the push bar
The push bar can be adjusted in three stages, to the heights of approx. 99 -
95 - 90 cm.
Remove the lock nuts and associated mounting screws .
Select the one pair of the 3 sets of holes on the push handle upper element
best suited to your needs and then rescrew the push bar firmly together with the
lock nuts and the mounting screws .

Cleaning and Care
IMPORTANT
Potential damage to the appliance.
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the upper►
surfaces.
Clean the housing and the collecting container 5with a slightly moist cloth and
a mild detergent.
Snagged leaves, grasses and small twigs that may have become entangled in
the plate brushes 3and sweeping brushes are best cut loose with a knife or
scissors and then disposed of.
Storage
Before putting it into storage, empty the collecting container 5.
For space-saving storage, the push bar can be folded over and the appliance
placed on the collecting container 5.
For this, loosen the lock nuts on the lower element of the push handle 2and
pull it towards itself. The push bar can now be folded over.

Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community
waste facility. Pay heed to the applicable regulations. If in doubt, consult your
waste disposal center. Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally
responsible manner.

With this appliance you receive a 3 year warranty from the date of purchase.
This appliance has been manufactured with care and meticulously examined
before delivery.
Please retain your receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a warranty claim,
please make contact by telephone with our Customer Service department. Only
in this way can a post-free dispatch for your goods be assured.
NOTICE
The warranty covers only claims for material and maufacturing►
defects, not for transport damages, worn parts or for damage
to fragile components, e.g. buttons or switches.
This appliance is intended solely for private, non-commercial use. If this product
has been subjected to improper or inappropriate handling, abuse, or modifica-
tions not carried out by one of our authorised sales and service outlets, the
warranty becomes void.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way by this warranty. The warranty
period will not be extended as a result of repairs made under warranty. This applies
also to replacement and repaired parts.
Possible damage and/or faults present at the time of purchase must be reported
immediately after unpacking or, at the very latest, within two days after the
purchase date.
After expiry of the warranty period incidental repairs are subject to payment.

Informacje o niniejszej instrukcji obsługi
Niniejsza instrukcja obsługi stanowi część zamiatarki FKM 2400 A1 (zwanej
dalej urządzeniem) i zawiera ważne wskazówki dotyczące użytkowania zgodnie
z przeznaczeniem, bezpieczeństwa, podłączania oraz obsługi urządzenia.
Instrukcję obsługi należy przechowywać stale w pobliżu urządzenia.
Musi ją przeczytać, a także jej przestrzegać każdy, kto podejmuje się obsługi
urządzenia.
Przechowuj instrukcję obsługi i w razie odsprzedaży przekaż ją wraz z urządzeniem
nowemu właścicielowi.

Niniejsza dokumentacja jest prawnie chroniona.

Urządzeniem nie wolno zamiatać łatwopalnych ani żarzących się przedmio-■
tów, takich jak np. papierosy, zapałki lub podobne.
Do usuwania szkieł, metalu lub innych materiałów ze zbiornika zasobniko-■
wego zakładaj mocne rękawice.
Urządzeniem nie wolno nigdy zamiatać wybuchowych cieczy, łatwopalnych■
gazów, jak również nierozcieńczonych kwasów i rozpuszczalników! Do tych
zakazanych materiałów zalicza się benzynę, rozpuszczalniki do farb lub olej
opałowy, a więc materiały, które po wymieszaniu z powietrzem mogą tworzyć
wybuchowe pary lub mieszaniny, jak również aceton, nierozcieńczone kwasy
i rozpuszczalniki, mogące uszkodzić materiały zastosowane w urządzeniu.
