Thank you for purchasing the Ninja Slope Soarer
The word "Awesome" is over used, but this new glider lives
up to this. Firstly its big, at 48" with a deep chord , the Ninja
has a large wing area and will fly in winds form 10mph to gale force.
The Ninja will maintain inertia in collisions and aerobatics, successive loops are
possible and dynamic soaring is achievable.

2 x servos 43g (standard size)
1 x Long range receiver
1 x Nihm 4.8v Battery 2500-3300mah
1 x Transmitter capable of elevon mixing or mixing module

Mark the centre of the spar with a marker.
Squeeze some uhu por into the hole in the
wing and insert the spar and twist to spread
the glue out. Use uhu por glue to coat both
faces of the wings insert spar and hold the
wing together using some strapping tape.
Keep checking the accuracy of the join.
Using a sanding block, chamfer the leading edge of the Balsa elevons.

Above is a guide to the locations of the radio and
battery equipment. These are only a guide and
should be modified to suit your needs. Use a fairly
big battery like a 3000mah 4.8v unit. This will help
in achieving the “centre of Gravity” without adding
excess ballast.
Cut EPP only with a new and sharp blade.
The best method for cutting out servo and equipment holes in EPP, is to position the parts and
carefully draw around them.
Set your knife to approximately the depth required, ie servo as shown above.
Cut around the drawn shape, then cut into small squares, prise out the small blocks with a flat
bladed screw driver.
Its better to remove too little material than too much.

Covering the wing
Spray the underneath of the wing thoroughly using the spray glue then using the 50mm strapping
tape, tape the underneath as shown, wrapping the overlapping tape over to the top, repeat the
process for the top.
Coloured tape, Spray once more and cover the wing with the coloured tape starting from the back to
the front with a 3mm overlap. We suggest a dark colour on the bottom and a bright colour on the top
to help in orientation.
Cover the elevon you prepared earlier with coloured tape, for extra
strength, you can cover with strapping tape and then coloured tape.
Use the Flat sheet of EPP supplied to make hatches for the battery bay
and radio bay, you can seal these bays in of allow access by using
strapping tape tabs
STEP 6
Using 25mm strapping tape or cutting 50mm tape
down the centre, attach the elevons.
1. Run a strip down the back edge of one side of
the wing, half on half off, offer up the elevon at a
downward angle as show, attach it to the tape.
2. Angle the elevon up and apply the tape to the
bottom part of the hinge. Ensure free movement.

Assemble the horns as shown, locate
them, parallel to the centre line on the
balsa elevon. Cut the 3mm pushrod to suit
with the solder adaptor.

Wingtips:
Cut some stapping tape, and
wrap it around the front
section of the wingtip, top and
bottom.
Feed a strip through the slots
and attach top & bottom.
Final Set up
1. Check the centre of gravity is 220mm back from the nose point
2. Check the elevons are working the correct way:
Left aileron stick input - Right elevon goes down, left elevon goes up
Back aileron stick in put - Both elevons go down
And vice versa
3. Check neutral elevon position, the bottom of the elevon should follow the
bottom of the wings sweep (up), see below.
The Ninja will fly in a very wide range of winds from light to gale force, if you can stand it the Ninja will
too. Some lead ballast may be required to achieve balance, you can also add ballast at the point of
balance (CofG) for extra speed.
