Warning
Read the user instructions carefully to

General
1. This product may e used under
supervision, or if instruction regarding the
safe use of the product has een provided
and the resulting dangers have een
understood, y children aged 8 and
a ove, as well as y persons with
physical, sensory or mental disa ilities or a
lack of experience and knowledge.
Children must not e allowed to play with
the product. Cleaning and user
maintenance must not e performed y
children without supervision.
The use of this product y young people
under the age of 16 is not recommended..
2. Never allow children or people unfamiliar with the
instructions to use the machine.
3. Stop using the machine while people, especially
children, or pets are near y.
4. Only use the Gardenvac in the manner and for the
functions descri ed in these instructions.
5. Never operate the Gardenvac when you are tired, ill
or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine.
6. The operator or user is responsi le for accidents or
hazards occurring to other people or their property.
Electrical
1. The use of a Residual Current Device (R.C.D.) with
a tripping current of not more than 30mA is
recommended. Even with a R.C.D. installed 100%
safety cannot e guaranteed and safe working
practice must e followed at all times. Check your
R.C.D. every time you use it.
2. Before use, examine the ca le for signs of damage,
or ageing. If the ca le is found to e defective, take
the product to an Authorised Service Centre and
have the ca le replaced.
3. Do not use the Gardenvac if the electric ca les
are damaged or worn.
4. Immediately disconnect from the mains electricity
supply if the ca le is cut, or the insulation is damaged.
Do not touch the electric ca le until the electrical supply
has een disconnected. Do not repair a cut or
damaged ca le. Replace it with a new one.
5. Your electric ca le must e uncoiled, coiled ca les can
overheat and reduce the efficiency of the Gardenvac.
6. Do not pull ca le around sharp o jects.
7. Always switch off at the mains efore disconnecting
any plug, ca le connector or extension ca le.
8. Switch off, remove plug from mains and examine
electric supply ca le for damage or ageing efore
winding ca le for storage. Do not repair a
damaged ca le, replace it with a new one. Use
only Flymo replacement ca le.
9. Always wind ca le carefully, avoiding kinking.
10.Never carry the product y the ca le.
11.Never pull on the ca le to disconnect any of the plugs.
12.Use only on AC mains supply voltage shown on
the product rating la el.
13.Our products are dou le insulated to EN60335.
Under no circumstance should an earth e
connected to any part of the product.
Ca les
If you want to use an extension ca le when operating
your product, only the following ca le dimentions
should e used.
- 1.0 mm2: max length 40 m
- 1.5 mm2: max length 60 m
- 2.5 mm2: max length 100 m
Minimum rating:
1.00mm2size ca le 10 amps 250 volts AC
1. Mains ca les and extensions are availa le from
your local Approved Service Centre.
2. Only use extension ca les specifically designed
for outdoor use and which conform to one of the
following specifications: Ordinary ru er (60245
IEC 53), Ordinary PVC (60227 IEC 53) or
Ordinary PCP (60245 IEC 57)
3. If the short connection lead is damaged, it must
e replaced y the manufacturer, its service agent
or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a
hazard.
Preparation
1. While using your product always wear su stantial
footwear and long trousers. Do not operate the
equipment when arefoot or wearing open
sandlas.
2. The use of eye protection is recommended.
3. The use of ear protection is recommended.
4. To prevent dust irritation, the wearing of a face
mask is recommended.
5. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery that can
e drawn into the air inlet.
6. Do not wear clothing with attachments, i.e. toggles or
drawstrings that can e drawn into the air inlet.
7. Inspect your Gardenvac efore each use.
8. Do not use if any part is damaged or roken or if
any of the screws are loose. Have it repaired y
an authorised repairer.
9. Always check your Gardenvac is in a safe
If not used properly this Gardenvac can e dangerous. The warnings and safety instructions must e
followed to ensure reasona le safety and efficiency in using this product. The operator is responsi le
for following the warnings and instructions in this manual and on the product. Never use the product
unless the guards provided y the manufacturer are in the correct position.
