Warning! To reduce the risk of serious injury, read the following safety instructions
before assembling and using the Bookcase.
Caution! Always keep children under close supervision while they are using or around this product.
Never leave children unattended.

Death or serious injury may occur when children climb on storage or bookcase type furniture. A remote
control or toys placed on the furniture may encourage a child to climb on the furniture and as a result
may tip over onto the child.
NEVER allow children to climb or play with storage or bookcase type furniture.
NEVER place toys, food, remote, etc. on top of storage or bookcase type furniture.
ALWAYS use either the safety hardware as instructed or other wall anchoring device.
Placing TVs on furniture that are not designed to support a television is hazardous, which may result in
injury or death.
This product is not designed to support a television.
Overloading shelves may result in furniture that can break or sag, or tip over which may result in injury.
NEVER exceed the weight limits shown in the instructions.
Place the heavier items on lower shelves as far back from the front as possible.
Load the bottom surfaces first to avoid top-heavy furniture.
Moving furniture that is not designed to be moved or equipped with castors may result in injury or
damage to furniture or personal property.
ALWAYS unload shelves, starting with the top surfaces, before moving.
NEVER push or pull furniture on carpet. Have a friend help lift properly to move and/or reposition it.
This unit must be positioned against wall.

product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with packaging contents list. If any part is missing, or if

Place all parts from the box in a cleared area and position them on the floor in front of you. Remove all packing
materials and place them back into the box. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is complete.
Read each step carefully before beginning any assembly and make sure you understand each step. If you are

Assembly Preparation
Needed for assembly:
Caution!
• Proper placement of your Bookcase is essential.
• Keep children away during assembly.
This product contains small parts which can be swallowed by children.
• Keep fingers away from the places where they can be pinched or trapped.
• Do not attempt to assemble the Bookcase if any parts are missing.

Fasten the SIDE SKIRTS (7) to the LEGS (1, 2, 3, and 4). Use eight BLACK 1-1/8" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (G).
Position the parts exactly as shown.

NOTE: Ensure the WOOD DOWELS in the BACKS have been inserted into the holes in the RIGHT
REAR LEG.

Fasten the SHELVES (9, 10, 11, 12, and 13) to the RIGHT LEGS (1 and 3). Tighten ten HIDDEN CAMS.

Fasten the BACKS (8) to the SHELVES (9, 10, 11, 12, and 13). Use five BLACK 1-9/16" FLAT
HEAD SCREWS (F).
With someone's help, fasten the LEFT REAR LEG (4) to the BACKS (8) and SHELVES (9, 10, 11, 12, and 13).
Tighten ten HIDDEN CAMS. Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the BACKS insert into the holes in the LEFT
REAR LEG.
Fasten the LEFT FRONT LEG (2) to the SHELVES (9, 10, 11, 12, and 13). Tighten five HIDDEN CAMS.
Fasten a FRONT/REAR SKIRT (6) to the BOTTOM SHELF (13). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS.

Fasten the FRONT/REAR SKIRT (6) to the TOP (5). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS.
Fasten the TOP (5) to the SIDE SKIRTS (7). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS.
Open the FURNITURE TIPPING RESTRAINT KIT (98) and fasten the SAFETY STRAP to the top surface of the TOP (5).
Use the provided short screw.

Carefully stand your unit upright.
Place your unit in its final location against a wall. Locate the centre of a stud in your wall near your unit
and mark it with a pencil. Next, drill a 1/8" hole on the mark and into the stud in the wall.
Fasten the unit to the wall. Use the long screw from the safety kit (98) through the other end of the strap
and into the 1/8" hole.
Peel APPLIQUES from the APPLIQUE CARDS (C) and stick them onto each visible HIDDEN CAM and screw
head. The screw heads and HIDDEN CAMS in the BACKS and BOTTOM SHELF will not get covered.

• Clean with your favourite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry.
Caution!
• Check all screws and nuts periodically for tightness, fastening them again
as required.
• This product is intended for domestic indoor use only.
• The product should be placed on a flat horizontal surface.
• Arrange necessary manpower when assembling or moving the product.
• Do not push furniture, especially on a carpeted floor. Have someone help you lift
heavy items and set it in place.
