SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read these safety instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference.
TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK AND/OR FIRE HAZARD: (DANGER ZONE)
• Never handle the plug or the air purier with wet hands
• Do not let water or any other fammable liquid or detergent enter the appliance
• Do not clean the appliance with water or any other fammable liquid or detergent
• Never use an extension cord as it may cause a short circuit
or destroy the unit or may even cause personal injury
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces and never use it with a damaged cord or plug
• Do not operate the air purier near a stove or heater or near fammable gases such as oxygen,
natural gas or propane
• Before cleaning the device or changing the lter, turn off the device and disconnect it from the
electricity.
TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND THE PRODUCT: (WARNING ZONE)
• Please remove the plastic cover of the lter before turning the purier on
• Use the product indoors only and plug into the correct power source as described on the label
• Turn on all the controls before unplugging and always disconnect the cord from the electrical
outlet before servicing the air purier
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 or over and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised when using or
have received instructions for using the machine safely and understand the possible dangers.
• Do not pull or carry the product by the cord and do not use the cord as a handle
• Do not use the device in areas with extreme temperature uctuations as this can lead to the for-
mation of condensation inside the unit.
• Do not place the device directly under an air conditioner to avoid condensation dripping onto it.
• Do not place the device beneath a smoke detector.
• When using the optional Aroma function, only use ORIGINAL Forbes accessories and only those
essences recommended by Forbes.
OR BETTER PRODUCT MAINTENANCE: (PRECAUTION ZONE)
• If the Aroma Chamber is stained with residual liquid do not put it into the purier
• Do not add more than 2ml liquid to the Aroma Chamber
• Never pull the cord around sharp edges, corners or close doors on the cord
• Keep the air purier out of reach of children to prevent unwanted injuries
• Do not operate the air purier near a shower, bathtub or in the place where steam may be present
• Always grasp and pull the plug and not the cord to unplug
• Never tamper or cover openings with any object
• If the device is not in use for a longer period of time, it is possible that bacteria may form on the
lters. Check all lters thoroughly before operating again. Replace lters if necessary.
• REMEMBER •
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the service agent or similar qualied
person to avoid hazardous accidents.

STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY
ACTIVE 10X PRE FILTER
Active 10X Pre Filter, with 360 degree cylindrical shape lters out large
particles such as dust, dirt, pet dander and other large suspended solids.
ACTIVE NANO SILVER
Active Nano Silver with its strong sterilizing capacities kills bacteria in
the air and controls the growth of microbes, such as bacteria, fungi,
and other airborne germs with an efciency of 99.88% and it also con-
tinuously destroys organisms in three ways – by attacking the cell wall,
interrupting metabolism and preventing reproduction.
ACTIVE HEPATM FILTER
The ActiveHEPA
TM
lter can remove airborne pollutants down to 0.3 mi-
crons in size with an efciency of 99.9%. The signifcance is that the
ActiveHEPATM Filter operates on the nanoscale, dealing with the ultra-
ne particles which other air purifers cannot remove. The Active
HEPATM Filter eliminates bacteria, pollen, mould, and combustion par-

OPERATING THE FORBES AIR PURIFIER




Mood Lamp/Anion Generator
Fan Speed Indicator

Power/Fan Speed
POWER ON/OFF
• Once you turn on the purifer, press the power button and
the purifer will run in Speed mode 1 and the indicator
1 will light up.
• When the purier runs in Speed mode 3, press the button
again, to bring the purifer to a stop. This will turn the
indicators off
3-SPEED CONTROL
• On default, once the purifer is powered it runs on Speed
mode 1
• Once the purier starts up, press the fan speed button.
The purier will run on Speed mode 2, and the indicator
„2” will light up. On pressing the button again, the puri-
er will run on Speed mode 3, and the indicator „3” will
light up
With a convenient 3 speed control – 1, 2, 3 – you can switch
speeds depending on your room space and pollution levels
to ensure optimum freshness.
ANION GENERATOR
With the power on, press the Anion Generator button, the
lamp ring will light up, while the Anion Generator will re-
lease anions. Press the button again the process of generat-
ing anions will stop.
MOOD LAMP
Spreads a soft relaxing glow that adds a mellow mood for
good sleep
When you turn on the purier, the Ionizer and
the Mood Lamp work in sync, Once switched
off, both will turn off.
AROMA CHAMBER
The built-in Aroma Chamber lets you add any fragrance
of your choice. This hub is below the upper cover so that
the aroma spreads upon starting the air purier. One can
put camphor tablets or a cotton ball dipped in fragrance of
your choice inside
Use the aromatic fragrance with Speed mode
1 and only a breeze of wind can be felt, while you
enjoy the fragrance.
Spread the fragrance along with pure air blowing through
the purier.

INSTALLING FORBES AIR PURIFIER
To avoid electric shock and hazards, plug the Forbes air purier direct-
ly into an appropriate electrical outlet. (Use only a 220-240 Voltage
outlet)
Place the Forbes air purier on a level, stable and dry place. Ensure
sufcient space around the unit that allows air to circulate freely in, out
and around the unit.
If possible, place the Forbes air purier at the opposite end of the air
conditioner to create a better air circulation pattern. This would assist
in better capture and ltration of ne airborne pollutants.
For best results, run your Forbes air purier 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. Continuous operation means continuous supply of clean, ltered
air circulating throughout the room.
• TIP •
The best place for an air purier is your bedroom.
It’s essential to have clean air in your bedroom because
you spend about one third of your life there.

MAINTENANCE
Before attempting to perform any maintenance on the purier discon-
nect the power adaptor.
(A) CLEAN THE AIR PURIFIER
• Clean the unit only when necessary. If the unit is used in a dirty environ-
ment, it may need frequent cleaning
• Wipe the dirt with soft bres
• For obstinate dirt, only a neutral detergent is recommended
(B) CLEAN THE FILTER
It is recommended to clean the dust gathered on the composite lter
every 2 weeks. Use a soft brush or dry cotton cloth to clean the lter
surface. Do not use water to wash the lter. The lter needs to be
replaced when the purication effciency is greatly reduced. Generally
speaking its lifespan is 1 year. The lter change is dependent on dif-
ferent place and usage. For example, time to change the lter maybe
shorter in contaminated zones or smoking areas etc.
NOTE
Do not force press or pull because the lter can be broken
or deformed easily
(C) AROMA CHAMBER
• Recommended time to add fragrance: about once a month
• Choose the fragrance as per your taste
• Do not add any chemical fragrances
METHOD TO ADD FRAGRANCE:
• Open the lid on the Aroma Chamber and then take the aroma
box out
• You can open the aroma box by slightly pulling both the ends
• Take a cotton ball and dip it in the fragrance of your choice
• Press the cotton ball and drop the liquid into the middle to the
aroma box
• Do not add over 2ml (6-8 drops) liquid into the Aroma Chamber
• Close both the ends
• Invert the Aroma Chamber after 10 minutes to make sure there’s no
uid exudation before installing the Aroma Chamber
• Do not put the Aroma Chamber into the purier when it is stained
with residual liquid
TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM CAUSE SOLUTION
Unit is not working • The plug may not be rmly tted into the electri-

• Operate the unit for a certain period

No Wind • The rst gear is regarded as sleep-mode so that
only a breeze of wind can be felt
• The machine is out of operation
• Check the power supply system; replace the power
adaptor or contact service centre
