The purpose of ths user manual s to present the use and mantenance nstructons of
NEFFES Ar Purfers to the user.
Please read the safety warnngs carefully and keep the manual for future reference to
smoothly operate the NEFFES Ar Purfer you purchased.
WARNINGS AND SAFETY MEASURES
lDon’t disassemble, repair or modify the device without authorization. Otherwise, it may
cause failure or danger. Unauthorized modification may result in fire or breakdown.
lThe devices are intended for indoor use only.
lIt should be used under appropriate conditions in accordance with its technical specifi-
cations and design purposes.
lAny non-original spare parts should not be used for the device.
lThe input voltage must not exceed the rated voltage. Otherwise, it may result in fire or
breakdown.
lDon’t use the device for removing soot or ventilation in kitchen. Otherwise the service
life of the filters may be shortened and the machine may be damaged.
lWhen using pesticide, stop the machine first to prevent any chemicals from being sucked
in. Otherwise the chemicals may accumulate inside the device and generate a pungent
and hazardous substance under certain circumstances.
lDon’t sit or stand on the device or shake it. Otherwise, the device may breakdown.
lDon’t use the device to remove toxic substance such as carbon dioxide and silicon gas.
lDon’t use the device at heavily smoky or dusty place (e.g. kitchen) or where flammable
gases or metal dusts may be present. Otherwise, fire or failure may occur.
lDon’t use solvent like alcohol or diluting agents to clean the air purifier.
lThe packaging used in your product is recyclable. Dispose the packaging of your product
separately in accordance with the local official regulations to ensure it to be recycled.
lPlease pay attention to the transport warnings and signs on the device package.
lDo not carry the device alone during handling.
lProtect it from excess vibration and shock.
lImproper operations (installation, assembly, adjustment, modification, service and
maintenance) may result in injuries or material damage. Read this manual carefully for
assistance and consult with service personnel if you need further information.
lIt should not be used by children and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge.
lMake sure that there is no obstacle in front of air suction holes at the bottom while the
device is running.

lDo not put any cover or object on the device, which may cover its blowing nozzles.
lDo not insert your fingers or foreign objects through the blowing nozzles of the device.
lDo not install the device in a humid, wet or steamy (such as bathroom) place. Do not
operate the device with damp or wet hands. Otherwise, this may cause electric shock
or damage.
lAvoid bending, stretching, or placing objects on the power cable, which may damage it.
lDo not use damaged power cords or deformed plugs. Using damaged power cords or
plugs may cause short circuit, electric shock, or fire.
lIf the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced to avoid dangerous situations.
lDisconnect the device from power supply if you are not to use it for a long time or before
you transport it.
lAlways disconnect the device from power supply before any cleaning, maintenance and
filter replacement operations.

GENERAL INFORMATION
NEFFES Ar Purfer traps 99.95% of partcles larger than 0.3 mcrons n the ar, thanks to
the flters nsde t.
NEFFES enhances the ndoor ar qualty, elmnatng the harmful partcles n the ar such
as dust, bactera, vrus, germ, mold, pollen, mte, pet allergens as well as odor and smoke.
It s especally effectve n provdng a healthy and safe ar envronment n areas such as
offces, restaurants, hosptals, hotels, cafeteras, lbrares, sports halls, kndergartens,
schools, publc buldngs wth a hgh densty of people.
The body of the devce s made of galvanzed sheet resstant to corroson and heavy workng
condtons, and s coated wth electrostatc powder pant.
The devce has hgh-effcency and speed-controlled EC motor fans. The EC motors ncre-
ase the energy effcency of the devce, provdng energy savngs. The fan can be operated
at 5 dfferent speeds va the control panel.
The Neffes Ar Purfer has a 4-stage fltraton system.
The antmc coated cassette type pre-flter has a hgh dust holdng capacty. It can be easly
replaced thanks to ts washable and sldng system.
HEPA flters can trap at least 99.95% of partcles larger accordng to the EN1822 standard.
It flters partcles such as bactera, vruses, germs, mold that pass through the pre-flter.
The casette-type actvated carbon flter removes cgarette smoke, food and smlar unple-
asant smell. It neutralzes over 90% of chemcal gases such as formaldehyde, hydrogen
sulfde, ammona and benzene.
The UV-C lamp s effectve n removng mcroorgansms. UV-C rays n the wavelength range
of 254nm damage the DNA/RNA chans of mcroorgansms, stoppng all ther actvtes and
neutralzng them.

DESCRIPTION OF COMPONENTS

HANDLING
If the devces are to be handled manually, ths should be performed by at least two persons.
If they are to be handled through pallets, they should be preferably postoned vertcally
sde-by-sde. If the devces are to be handled n a vertcally stacked poston, the maxmum
number of devces to stacked on top of each other should be maxmum 3 for NFS-400-U
model, and 2 for NFS-1000-U.
The devces should be properly fxed aganst fallng and tppng before and durng handlng,
and necessary protectve measures should be taken.
Note: Droppng the NEFFES ar purfer to the ground may cause a balance problem n the
fans and make the devce unusable, even f the devce body s not damaged. Ths wll make
the devce out of warranty.
STORAGE
If the devces are to be kept for assembly or stored, they should not be removed from ther
boxes and stored n ther boxes.
They should be stacked vertcally sde-by-sde. If the devces are to be handled n a vert-
cally stacked poston, the maxmum number of devces to stacked on top of each other
should be maxmum 3 for NFS-400-U model, and 2 for NFS-1000-U.
Durng storage, the devces should be protected from external weather condtons and
should not be placed on a damp and wet ground.
LAYOUT AND INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE
The devce s especally effectve n provdng a healthy and safe ar envronment n areas
such as offces, restaurants, hosptals, hotels, cafeteras, lbrares, sports halls, kndergar-
tens, schools, publc buldngs wth a hgh densty of people.
To get maxmum effcency from the devce, place t n the mddle rather than wall corners
n the place where t wll be postoned. If you place near a wall, poston t at least 20 cm
away from the wall. Never close the top and ar vents of the devce.
Necessary health and safety measures should be taken durng handlng and assembly of
the devce.
Make sure that there s no mssng or damaged parts before the assembly.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always dsconnect the devce from power supply before cleanng.
Regular mantenance wll prevent unexpected breakdowns and performance losses n the
devce.
The flters become drty over tme, reducng ar flow and causng performance loss. There-
fore, t s mportant to replace or clean the flters regularly.
General Cleaning
Always dsconnect the devce from power supply before cleanng.
The external body of the devce may be cleaned wth a slghtly most cloth as requred.
Abrasve cleanng agents should not be used.
Attenton should be pad to prevent the mosture from reachng the nteror surface of the
devce.
Filters
The devce must not be run wthout flter. The flters must be completely attached to the
devce after a cleanng or replacement operaton.
The flters must be replaced by the servce.
Always dsconnect the devce from power supply before a flter cleanng or replacement
operaton.
Always use a protectve gloves and mask when replacng
the flters.
Do not dspose them wth domestc wastes. The waste
flters must be dsposed safely. Ask for help from our
servce teams for necessary techncal support.
Pre-Flter: When the pre-flter replacement ndcator s
on, the flter should be cleaned or replaced.
Tme to flters to get drty may vary by the envronment
where t s used and the frequency of use.
Dsconnect the devce from power supply, open the servce panel and the remove the flter
by pullng t to yourself.
If there s accumulated dust or foregn substances on the flter, wash t by hand wth warm
water. Do not attach the flter untl you make sure that t s completely dred.

Actvated Carbon Flter: Actvate carbon flters are unclea-
nable by ther nature.
They should be replaced once a year dependng on the env-
ronment where t s used and the frequency of use.
Dsconnect the devce from power supply, open the servce
panel and the remove the flter by pullng t to yourself and
attach the new one. Then, close the servce panel.
Hepa Flter: When the hepa flter replacement ndcator s
on, the flter should be replaced.
Tme to flters to get drty may vary by the envronment
where t s used and the frequency of use.
Dsconnect the devce from power supply, open the servce
panel, carefully loosen the clps holdng the hepa flter
and remove t by holdng from ts front secton and lftng
upward.
Place the new flter nto the frame and tghten the clps.
Then, close the servce panel.
Snce hepa flters trap vruses and bactera, the used ones
may contan harmful partcles. After the flters are removed
usng necessary protectve equpment, they should be put
n a trash bag whch should be tghtly sealed. Then, ths
trash bag should be put n another trash bag and tghtly
sealed. The date and tme of ths process should be wrtten
on the bag wth a non-erasable pen. After 72 hours, the bag
contanng the flter can be dsposed wth domestc wastes.
However, f the flters are not subjected to ths process, they
should be regarded as medcal waste and dsposed accor-
dngly.
Make sure that the new hepa flter s properly ft n the flter frame. Otherwse, the devce wll
not operate properly. The junked flters should be dsposed properly and safely.
UV-C Lamp: The UV-C lamp should not be touched wth
bare hands.
When the lamp replacement ndcator s on, the UV-C lamp
should be replaced. Dsconnect the devce from power supply,
open the servce panel and carefully remove the UV-C lamp
from ts holder.
Carefully wpe the UV-C lamp wth a clean cloth once a month
to mprove ts effcency. Vnegar may be used for mneral
deposts, pure alcohol for most organc resdues and a lnt-
free cloth for ol. Commonly used cleaners whch do not leave
any resdue wll work.
Snce UV-C lamps contan mercury, they should not be dsposed wth domestc wastes. The
lamps whose lfetme s expred must be dsposed wth 20 01 21* code or sent to a recycle plant
n accordance wth the Envronment Law No. 2872 and the Regulaton on Waste Management
dated 02.04.2015 and numbered 29314.

DEVICE FUNCTIONS
1. On/Off
Connect the devce to a power supply and press “ON/OFF” button on the control panel. The
devce wll start runnng wth the fan n the 1st stage.
When the devce starts to run, the UV-C lamp wll be n closed poston.
Press the “UV-C” button n the keypad to turn on the lamp. When the lamp s on, the led
near the “UV-C” lamp wll turn on.
2. Speed Selection
The devce has 5 dfferent speed settngs.
Each tme you press the “FAN SPEED” button on the keypad on the devce, the fan speed
wll up to the next level and the LEDs wll lght up one by one. For example, when the devce
s n the 3rd speed stage, all the 3 LEDs wll lght up.
When the fan s n the last stage, f the button s pressed once, the fan speed wll swtch to
the 1st stage.
When the devce works agan after a power outage, t wll resume the prevous mode.
3. Alarms
The devce has 3 alarms.
“PRE-FILTER” alarm; Ths s a tme-adjusted alarm and gves a flter replacement alarm
after 1000 workng hours under average polluton condtons.
Press and hold the “FAN SPEED” button for 5 seconds to reset ths warnng after you clean
or replace the flter. Then, the warnng lght wll off.
“HEPA” alarm; It s on when the hepa flter gets drty so as to affect the devce performance.
When you change the hepa flter, the flter dfferental pressure sensor wll detect t and the
warnng lght wll off.
“LAMP” alarm; Ths s a tme-adjusted alarm and gves alarm after the lfetme of UV-C
lamp (8000 hours) s expred. Press and hold the “UV-C” button for 5 seconds to reset ths
warnng after you replace the UV-C lamp. Then, the warnng lght wll off.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Falure Possble Causes Soluton
The devce does not start
up.
Is the outlet energzed or not? Check the power supply.
Is the devce plugged properly? Make sure that the devce s properly
plugged.
The devce does not blow
ar.
Is the ar nlet or ar outlet blocked by
foregn matters?
Make sure that the ar nlet/outlet of
the devce s unblocked or replace ts
poston.
The fan may not work. Contact wth the authorzed servce.
It does not clean
suffcently.
Are there any objects around the devce
that prevent ar sucton? Elmnate such objects.
The flters have not been cleaned/replaced
for a long tme. Clean/replace them.
Smell comes from the ar
outlet of the devce.
Is smell generated temporarly when
someone smokes or n a smlar case?
After a whle after the devce works,
the smell wll gradually decrease and
then dsappear.
The flters have not been cleaned/replaced
for a long tme. Clean/replace them.
The UV-C lamp does not
work.
Was the UV-C lamp actvated by pressng
the UV-C button?
Press the UV-C button to actvate the
lamp.
The UV-C lamp was nserted to holder
properly?
Make sure that the UV-C lamp was
properly nserted to the holder.
