IceTechTM Filters
Fan Speed On/O control switch activates needle-point ionizer
(On/O) and controls the fan speed - Clockwise (low to high). If
this is the 7 stage unit, the UV & Plasma Generator will be
switched on automatically as well.
Top Grill The top grill is removable by thumb screws. This design
allows the user to remove the grill for rinsing. Because of
ions and plasma generator, you will notice more dust
attracted to the plastic surface of the grill.
IceTechTM Filters Both 4 and 7 stage Q3 Air Purier uses the same lter slot.
The design is to allow easy removal & replacement at the
bottom of the unit. The lter is a multilayered lter.

NOTE: As you stand in front of the unit the ionizer will create a slight
charge. If you then touch a metal object there may be a static electric
discharge similar to touching a doorknob in winter.

SETTING UP YOUR AIR PURIFIER
Good news! Your air purier is ready to use right now. There is nothing you need
to setup with the air purier.
For Optimal Air Purier Position
The ideal location is to place the air purier at a central location on a counter top,
shelving or any space above ground. Since ozone is heavier than air, elevated
placement will allow for more eective usage of ozonator. If you must, there is no
problem with the air purier on the oor or in the corner of the room.
Always allow at least three inches of space between the back and the side of the
unit from the wall or other objects to allow for proper airow suction.
We suggest positioning the air purier in the room or area that is close to the
primary source of odor.
The UV lamp and the Plasma generator are only available in the 7 Stage model.
These functions are automatically turned on as the air purier is switched on. There
are no side eect to the UV inside the air purier, the ions and plasma generated.
As soon as the fan is running, all functions inside the air purier is switched on.
There will be no noticeable smells or odors for the ionizer, UV lamp nor the plasma
generator. If your space has a lot of dust in the air, you will notice more dust
settling onto surfaces. This is the result of dust precipitate and falls out of air.
The UV light will initially be more visible because of the manufacture powder
coating. This light will fade away while the invisible ultra violet (UV) ray will
continue to work.

Q. HOW DOES THE Q3 AIR PURIFIER CLEANS THE AIR?
A. The Q3 Air Purier has both active and passive air purication. Passively, it
uses both HEPA and Carbon lter to trap small particles and odors. Actively,
the Q3 Air Purier produces both plasma* and negative ions to remove strong
odors and settle out particles, like dust and bacteria*.
Q. IS PLASMA & ION SAFE?
A. Plasma and ions are extremely safe. They are no medical or health drawbacks
to these charged oxygen particles. There are naturally some amount of charged
oxygen particles in our atmosphere.
Q. WHERE SHOULD I PLACE THE AIR PURIFIER IN MY HOME OR OFFICE?
A. The Q3 Air Purier should be placed in the room where you have the most
pollutants. The purier is lightweight and easy to move so it is recommended
that you try placing it in a couple of locations to help decide what works best for
your environment. An elevated location is better to distribute ions and activated
oxygen more evenly.
Q. WHAT IS THE LIFE EXPECTANCY FOR THE Q3 AIR PURIFIER?
A. The Q3 Air Purier is made of a wood construction. Because of the quality
material and superior craftsmanship that goes into each air purier, you can
enjoy it for many years to come.
Q. IS THE PURIFIER DIFFICULT TO INSTALL?
A. No, the Q3 Air Purier is easy to set up. Place the Q3 Air Purier in any room
with the purier recommended four (4) or more feet o the ground.
Q. WHAT DOES THE AIR PURIFIER DO?
A. The Q3 Air Purier is designed to trap 99% of the bacteria, mold, and allergens
in your home or space. The carbon lter treats the air in your home or oce by
absorbing odor. Meanwhile the plasma generator* creates charged positive &
negative ions, causing pollutants and dropping airborne particulate from your
breathing space. Meanwhile, the UV lamp* is design to kill any smaller viruses
that the HEPA lter has not captured.

Q. HOW DOES THE Q3 AIR PURIFIER WORK?
A. The purier eectively traps 99% of pollutants through a three-stage process:
1. The Q3 Air Purier uses a needlepoint ionizer to drop dust, smoke and other
harmful particles from the air we breathe. In our homes and oces there are
a lack of negative ions and an abundance of positive ions. The buildings we
spend most of our time in block out the natural occurring negative ions. The
Q3 Air Purier recreates the natural balance of positive to negative ions to
signicantly reduce airborne particulate.
2. HEPA lters are eective at capturing dust, mold, pollens, allergens and
other solid particles as small as 3 micron. Through a very ne paper-like lter,
the pollutants in the air pass through the HEPA lter and are trapped. At this
point, any bacteria and particles die because the HEPA lters are dry and
sterile, preventing any future growth.
3. Carbon lter is design to absorb the odors in the air.
4. UV lamp* works with the Photocatalytic Filter* to breakdown and kill viruses
and VOC where it’s smaller than the HEPA lter can trap. Organisms upon
contact with the light immediately“dies”, no matter how harmful the virus is.
Q. HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPLACE THE FILTER?
A. All Mammoth Air Filters has a lifetime expectancy of 6 months. On each model,
you will nd a pre-lter that allows owner to wipe away any larger particle of
dust. This will help maintain a high air ow eciency. (Do so once a month)
Just like regularly changing the motor oil with your car, the air lter will become
clogged with ne particles, carbon odors will be saturated, and there will be no
way to wash the lter and would be time to replace with a new one.
A dirty lter does no good in ltering out unwanted particles. Remember to
change them out every 6 months!
