The potent D-160v2 is the first 16-track hard disk
recorder with the ability to record 16 digital tracks
simultaneously. Truly the new standard of excellence in digi-
tal recording today, it offers a vast array of thoughtful and professional features. Its
removable 2.55gb hard drive provides a full half-hour of recording on all sixteen tracks
(or one full hour on eight tracks, two hours on four tracks, etc.), and can be inter-
changed with a variety of hard drive options* for nearly limitless storage. Its built-in dual
ADAT™ interface makes it a perfect addition to an established digital studio looking to
expand its capabilities. Built-in SCSI-2 and S/PDIF interfaces make for convenient back up
that never leaves the digital realm. And its 16-bit linear, CD-quality audio—with no com-
pression whatsoever—gives you exceptionally clear and full audio. The front panel even
detaches to become a full-function remote with a jog/shuttle wheel and easy control over
Fostex’s new FDMS-3 disk management system.
The new D-108 provides nearly all the features of the D-160v2 (except that it has a sin-
gle ADAT Lightpipe™ interface and does not support .WAV files) in an eight-track version.
