The LED Spotlight + Barndoors is equipped with long-living, energy-saving LED. The Light is especially
developed or ambitious beginners and pro essional users in ilm and studio photography. It is
characterized through its longevity, stable colour temperature and constant luminance (without
lickering).
The barndoors provide a rectangular illumination, cover large projecting area and distribution without
shadow e ect. The Fluorescent Light is the right choice or you, also because o its security and
compatibilty!
The main eatures o your device as ollows:

−Please read these instructions carefully before using your device for the first ti e. It includes
everything you need to know to avoid physical injuries and da ages.

−Please keep this anual safe. In case of selling or leaving the device to other persons, please
don´t forget to hand this anual over as well.

1. How to understand the instruction anual
1.1 Markings on the device
This marking means, that your device meets the sa ety requirements o all
relevant European Directives.
This marking means, that your device should be disposed in the local
disposal points.
1.2 Markings in this manual
Marking Meaning
Indicates the handling and consequences o sa ety
notes.
WARNUNG Indicates a hazardous situation, which, i not
avoided, could result in a serious injury or death.
VORSICHT Indicates a hazardous situation, which, i not
avoided, may result in inor or oderate injury.

important in ormation in connection with your
device.
2. I portant safety notes
WARNING
Danger of blinding for eyes
The optical radiation of the la ps could blind your eyes and lead to afteri ages, if persons and
ani als look into the la p directly. This could lead to injuries. Please avoid persons and ani als
looking into the flash directly.
WARNING
Danger of crashing, entrap ent and fire through the falling down of the device
The weight of the device is approx. 2kg.
−Make sure, that the device is always positioned tilt and skid resistant and stored securely.
−Make sure, that all screws are tightened fir ly and securely.
−Keep out of reach of children and ani al. They could overturn the device.
−Avoid placing cables where they can be tripped over. The device could be overturned.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock, burn hazard
Please note, that the device is still connected with the supply voltage even if it is switched off. Just
after disconnecting the device fro the power supply through pulling out the power cable, the
device is actually de-energized.
−Switch off your device when it is not in use.
−Switch off your device before ounting and aintenance and disconnect fro power supply.
−Protect your device against unintended switching-on.
−Unplug the power cord, if the flash is not in use for a long ti e.

WARNING
Danger of electric shock, fire through short-circuit
A short-circuit could be caused through defect cables and through hu idity or oisture. A short-
circuit can war up the conductors, so that there isolation will elt or even elt thoroughly. This
could lead to fire.
−Please just use the original cables, which are included in delivery. They are aligned for your
device and guarantee the necessary safety for you and your device.
−Don´t operate the device with wet hand or feet.
−Operate the device only in dry roo s.
−Don´t operate the device outdoors.
−Please only follow this instruction anual for cleaning the device.
−Make sure, that cables and conductors won´t be da aged. Da ages could be caused through
heat i pact, che ical influence or through echanical i pacts as rubbing, bending, tearing,
rolling over or nibbling ani als.
−Prevent your device for falling-off.
In case of falling-off, please let an electrician check the device before switching on again.
−If your device should be da aged or defect or if you notice a burning s ell:
Disconnect the power supply by pulling out the power cord i ediately. Never operate your
device with da aged housing, defect la ps or da aged power cord. Don´t open the device.
Never repair the device on your own. The device should only be repaired by electricians.
−Please follow this instruction anual for aintaining your device.
−Please just use spare parts, which are confor to the required specifications.

WARNING
The device can overheat, if you operate it with covered ventilation slots.
The device itself, accessories and easily infla able aterials in close distance could catch fire. The
accessories can overheat, if it does not co ply with the necessary specifications.
−Don´t cover the ventilation slots of the device during operation.
−Please just use accessories and spare parts, which are confor to the required specifications.

CAUTION
Danger of burning on hot parts
The la ps could heat up up to 40°C.
−Don´t touch the parts during operation and cooling down.
−Please cool down your device co pletely before starting any ounting or aintenance
arrange ents.
WARNING
Danger of cutting and splitting through breaking la ps,
possible discolouration on the la ps
La ps can break and split, when they fall down.
Even s all residues of skin oil on the la ps could lead, due to the high heat i pact, to the splitting
of the la p. Broken glass could hurt eyes and skin.
−Please handle the la ps with care to avoid bursting.

−Don´t touch the la ps with bare hands. Just touch the la p at the plastic socket or wear clean
cotton gloves or use a clean cloth.
−Avoid touching the flash tube accidentally when ounting or changing accessories.
3. Unpack and check the device
•Please unpack the device care ully.
•Please check, i the delivery is complete:
o1 x LED Spotlight
o1 x Barndoors
o1 x 12V 5A Power Supply Unit
o1 x Instruction Manual in German and English.
•Please check, i the delivery is undamaged.

The detailed instruction for the followin operations can be found in the respective chapters in this
instruction manual.
Keep the sequences of the followin operation steps when usin the device for the first time to avoid
dama es on the device.

•Connect to power supply.
•Switch on device.

6. Preparation for operation
6.1 Mount the device on a tripod (optional).
ADVICE:
Please note the user information of the tripod manufacturer.
WARNING
Select a tripod of suitable weight and di ensions. See Technical Specifications.
Make sure, that the tripod with the ounted device has a tilt and skid resistant stand.

•Loose locking screw.
•Mount the device with the holder on the tripod.
•Tighten locking screw.
6.2 Mount barndoors
•Loose astening screw.
•Slide the barndoors into the lateral guide rail.
•Tighten astening screw.
6.3 Connect to power supply
•Switch o device.
See Switch the device on and off.
•Compare the local power supply with the connected load o the device.
See Technical specifications.

•Connect the power cord with the socket on the device and with the power socket.
7. Operation of the device
7.1 Adjust tilt angle
•Open tilt lever.
•Adjust the required tilt angle.
•Tighten tilt lever.
7.2 Switch the device on and o , dim it
•Switch the device on:
Press On/O switch.
•The device is ready or operation.
•Turn the dimmer until the required light power is achieved.
•The LED light up.
•Switch o device:
Press On/O switch.
•I the lamps were switched on:
The lamps go out.
8. Transportation and storage
•Switch o device.
See Switch the device on and off.
•Let the device cool down completely.
WARNING! Danger o burning through hot parts. Let the device cool down completely.
•Cover the LED with e.g. bubble wrap and demount the barndoors.
•Unplug the power cord and power supply unit.

10.2 Cleaning

−The contact with oisture or water should be avoided.
−Unplug the power cord before cleaning the device.
ADVICE: Just use the followin specified cleanin supplies.

10.3 Change lamps
WARNING
Please just use suitable LED for this device. These LED´s should just be changed through an
electrician. It is essential to send back the device to Foto Walser within the warranty ti e.
10.4 Change micro- use
WARNING
Danger of electric shock and fire through short-circuit
A icro-fuse, which is not confor with the required specifications, doesn´t protect against the
overloading of the device.
Please just use a icro-fuse, which is confor with the required specifications. See Technical
specifications.
•Switch o device.
See Switch the device on and off.
•Disconnect rom power supply:
Unplug power cord.
•Open use holder:
Use a small screwdriver to li t up the use holder care ully and slightly.
•Pull out the use holder with your hands completely out o the slot.
•Take out the old micro- use.
•Slide the new micro- use in the holder.
•Slide the use holder care ully into the slot as ar as it goes.
