The BE MINI combines a 30-watt power section and Dave Friedman’s
famous “BE STYLE” preamp, with the same signature British-voiced
harmonics, grind, and punch of the BE amplifier’s legendary high-gain
tones. It’s compact dimensions, light weight, included effects loop, makes
the BE MINI a killer companion whether onstage, at home or in the studio.
The BE MINI is loaded with player-friendly features including gain, level,
three band EQ, Presence control and powerful Gain Cut and Tight switches.
These tools allow you to tailor the BE MINI’s character to your preferences.
On the back panel you’ll find a high-quality effects loop ideal for using
time-based effects with your high-gain tones. The included 24V univer-
sal-voltage power-supply means you can take your BE MINI wherever you
travel.

and understand the instructions inside this user’s manual before attempting to operate your new amp. This instruction manual includes
essential safety information regarding the use and maintenance of the amplifier. Take special care to heed all warning symbols and

1. Read Instructions – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before this product is operated.
2. Retain Instructions – The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Heed Warnings – All warnings on the amplifier and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
4. Follow Instructions – All operating and use instructions should be followed.
5. Water and Moisture – The amplifier should not be used near water – for example, a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub,
wet basement, or near a swimming pool, and the like.
6. Heat – Amplifier should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other amplifier (including
amplifiers) that produce heat.
7. Power Sources – This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the rating label.
8. Power-Cord Protection – Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by
items placed
upon or against them, paying particular attention to the cord in correspondence of plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the amplifier.
9. Cleaning – The amplifier should be cleaned only as recommended by the manufacturer. Clean by wiping with a cloth slightly
damp with water. Avoid getting water inside the amplifier.
10. Object and Liquid Entry – Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through
openings.
11. Damage Requiring Service – The amplifier should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:
A. The power-supply cord or the plug has been damaged; or
B. Objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled into the amplifier; or
C. The amplifier has been exposed to rain
D. The amplifier does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in performance
12. Servicing – The user should not attempt any service to the amplifier beyond that described in the operating instructions.
All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.
13. Replacement Parts – When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replacement parts specified
by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric
shock, or other hazards.

FRONT PANEL
POWER SWITCH / INDICATOR LAMP: Turns the amplifier on. You must connect
the speaker cabinet before turning on. If you want to use the amp as a pre-amp
(taking in the signal from the effects Send) you do not need to plug in a cabinet
at all.
Important: Do not connect the speaker cabinet while the amp is turned ON.
VOLUME CONTROL: Adjusts the overall speaker output level and determines the
level present at the SEND of the FX LOOP.
BASS CONTROL: This adds or takes away bass or bottom end. As the amp gets
louder you may want to back this off a bit. Start at 7-10 for bedroom volumes.
MIDDLE CONTROL: Adds or takes away midrange. Start at 4 or 5, lower settings
will scoop the mids, higher levels will allow to cut through the mix.
TREBLE CONTROL: Adds or takes away treble. Start at 6 and adjust to taste.
PRESENCE CONTROL: Adjusts the upper highs. Start at about 6-8 and adjust
to taste.
GAIN CUT SWITCH: Adjust the range of the GAIN pot.
GAIN CONTROL: This adds gain/distortion. Adjust to taste. Don’t be afraid.
TIGHT SWITCH: 3 position switch that varies the low bass frequencies of the amp.
INPUT: Just like it says. This is the Minion’s Guitar Input Jack.
REAR PANEL
RETURN JACK: This is where you plug the OUT of your Effect(s). Use a high-quality
shielded guitar cable.
SEND JACK: This is where you plug the INPUT of your Effect(s). Use a high-quality
shielded guitar cable.
SPEAKER JACKS (2): Plug in your speaker cab(s) here. We recommend 8-16 Ohm
operation only (single 8 Ohm or dual 16 Ohm cabinets). Connecting to a 4 Ohm
speaker cabinet will not guarantee a safe operation especially when played at
higher levels. Use a Speaker cable ONLY.
POWER SUPPLY INPUT: Plug the supplied POWER SUPPLY cord here and into a wall
outlet to power the beast.

reliable guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets. Friedman takes great pride in an
extremely thorough testing procedure which is implemented on each product prior to
shipment. In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your amplifier, please
refer to warranty below. Friedman stands behind our products like no other and we’re
here to help you!
AMPLIFIERS: Friedman offers a limited two-year warranty to the original purchaser that
a Friedman amplifier will be free from defects in material and workmanship. A dated
sales receipt will establish coverage under this warranty, PLEASE KEEP YOUR PROOF OF
PURCHASE TO USE YOUR WARRANTY. This warranty does not cover service or parts to
repair damage caused by accident, neglect, abuse, normal & wear, disaster, misuse,
abuse, over-powering, negligence, inadequate packing or shipping procedures and
service, repair or any modifications to the product which have not been authorized or
approved by Friedman in writing. ANY MODIFICATION TO THE AMPLIFIER WILL
VOID YOUR WARRANTY. If this product is defective in materials or workmanship as
warranted above, your sole remedy shall be repair or replacement by Friedman as
provided below.
CAUTION: Do NOT attempt to repair, modify or service your amplifier by yourself!!!

All repair and service work must be performed by Friedman or an authorized service

RETURN PROCEDURES: If a defect occurs please email us at

the procedure outlined below.
• Defective products must be shipped, together with proof of purchase, freight
pre-paid and insured to the Authorized Friedman Service Center or directly to
Friedman.
• If a product must be returned to Friedman for warranty replacement/repair,
a Return Authorization Number must be obtained from our Customer Service
Department prior to shipping the product.
• Please contact Friedman Customer Service Department for the Authorized Friedman
Service Center nearest you.
• Products must be shipped in their original packaging or its equivalent; the risk
of loss or damage in transit is to be borne by the purchaser.
• The Return Authorization Number must appear in large print on the package.
• Always include a brief description of the defect, along with your correct return
address and telephone number.
• When calling to inquire about a returned product, always refer to the Return
Authorization Number.
If Friedman determines that the unit was defective in materials or workmanship during
the warranty period, Friedman has the option of repairing or replacing the product at
no additional charge, except as set forth below.
• All replaced parts become a property of Friedman. Products replaced or repaired
under this warranty will be returned via ground shipping within the United States
or Canada - freight prepaid.
• Friedman is not responsible for costs associated with expedited shipping, either to
Friedman or the return of the item to the customer.
All warranty repairs outside the United States and Canada must be directed to
the dealer or distributor from which you purchased the product.
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE: In no event will Friedman be liable
for any incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use
of any Friedman, even if a Friedman dealer has been advised of the possibility of such
damages, or any other claim by any other party. Some states do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of consequential damages, so the above limitation and exclusion may not
apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other
rights which may vary from state to state.

PANEL FRONTAL
INTERRUPTOR DE ENCENDIDO / LÁMPARA INDICADORA: Enciende el
amplificador. Debe conectar la pantalla de amplificación antes de encenderlo. Si
desea usar el amplificador como un preamplificador (tomando la señal del envío
de efectos) no necesita enchufar una pantalla.
Importante: No conecte la pantalla de amplificación mientras el
amplificador esté ENCENDIDO.
VOL: Ajusta el nivel de volumen general.
BASS / MIDDLE / TREBLE: La familiar fila de tonos de 3 bandas es exactamente l
a misma que encontrarás en el BE MINI. Su diseño intuitivo te permite marcar
rápidamente tu configuración favorita. ¡No hay configuración mala o buena!

inumidito con acqua. Evitare di far entrare acqua all’interno dell’amplificatore.
10. Entrata di oggetti e liquidi - Prestare attenzione affinché gli oggetti non cadano e i liquidi non vengano versati all’interno dell’ap-
parecchio attraverso le aperture.
11. Danni che richiedono assistenza - L’amplificatore deve essere riparato da personale qualificato quando:
A. Il cavo di alimentazione o la spina sono stati danneggiati; oppure
B. Gli oggetti sono caduti o è stato versato del liquido nell’amplificatore; oppure
C. L’amplificatore è stato esposto alla pioggia;
D. L’amplificatore non sembra funzionare normalmente o presenta un marcato cambiamento nelle prestazioni.

INTERRUTTORE DI ALIMENTAZIONE / LAMPADA INDICATORE: accende l’am-
plificatore. È necessario collegare il cabinet dei diffusori prima di accenderlo. Se si
desidera utilizzare l’amplificatore come preamplificatore (prendendo il segnale dal
Send del loop effetti) non è necessario collegare un cabinet.
Importante: non collegare il cabinet dei diffusori mentre l’amplificatore
è acceso.
CONTROLLO VOLUME: Regola il livello generale di uscita alle casse e determina il
livello presente al SEND del Loop effetti.
CONTROLLO BASS: regola i bassi. Aumentando il volume, è possibile che si desideri
abbassare leggermente questo controllo. Inizia settandolo tra 7 e 10 se utilizzi un volume
“da casa”.
CONTROLLO MID: aggiunge o toglie le medie frequenze. Inizia regolandolo a 4 o 5,
impostazioni più basse scaveranno i medi, livelli più alti consentiranno di tagliare mag-
giormente il mix.
CONTROLLI TREBLE: aggiunge o elimina le alte frequenze. Inizia da 6, poi regola a
piacere.
CONTROLLO PRESENZA: regola gli alti superiori. Inizia da circa 6-8 e poi regola secon-
do i gusti.
SWITCH (GAIN) CUT: regola la gamma del controllo GAIN.
CONTROLLO GAIN : questo controllo aggiunge guadagno / distorsione. Regolalo a
piacere. Non aver paura…
SWITCH TIGHT:
interruttore a 3 posizioni che varia le basse frequenze dell’amplificatore.
INPUT: proprio come dice. Questa è la presa di ingresso per chitarra del BE MINI.

RETURN JACK: Qui è dove si collega l’OUT dei tuoi effetti. Si raccomanda di utilizzare
un cavo per chitarra schermato di alta qualità.
SEND JACK: Qui è dove inserisci l’INPUT dei tuoi Effetti. Si raccomanda di utilizzare un
cavo per chitarra schermato di alta qualità.
2x Uscita SPEAKER: collegare qui la/le casse. Si raccomanda il funzionamento solo con
casse da 8-16 Ohm (casse singole da 8 Ohm o due da 16 Ohm). La connessione a speak-
ers a 4 Ohm non garantisce un utilizzo sicuro soprattutto se si suon ad alto volume. Per le
connessioni usare solo cavi adatti.
Importante: collegare o scollegare gli speakers SOLAMENTE ad amplificatore

10. Es ist darauf zu achten, dass keine Gegenstände herunterfallen und keine Flüssigkeiten durch Öffnungen in das Gehäuse gelangen.
11. Service - Der Verstärker sollte von qualifiziertem Servicepersonal gewartet werden, wenn: A. Das Netzkabel oder der Stecker wurde
beschädigt. oder B. Gegenstände sind gefallen oder Flüssigkeit wurde in den Verstärker verschüttet; oder C. Der Verstärker war Regen
ausgesetzt D. Der Verstärker scheint nicht normal zu arbeiten oder weist eine deutliche Leistungsänderung auf

FRONT PANEL
(POWER) STROMSCHALTER / ANZEIGE: Schaltet den Verstärker ein. Sie müssen die
Lautsprecherbox anschließen, bevor Sie sie einschalten. Wenn Sie den Verstärker als
Vorverstärker verwenden möchten und das Signal vom Effekt-Send abgreifen, müssen Sie
überhaupt keine Lautsprecherbox anschließen.
Wichtig: Schließen Sie den Lautsprecher nicht an, während der Verstärker
eingeschaltet ist.
VOLUME REGLER: Passt die gesamt Lautstärke an und bestimmt den Pegel, der beim
SEND Ausgang des Effektweges anliegt.
BASS REGLER: Dieser Regler bestimmt den Bassanteil und das Low End. Je lauter der
Amp ist, um so weniger Bass benötigen Sie. Starten Sie bei einer Einstellung von 7-10 bei
niedrigen Lautstärken.
MIDDLE REGLER: Bestimmt den Mittenbereich. Starten Sie bei 4 oder 5, niedrigere Ein-
stellungen scoopen die Mitten, mit höheren Einstellungen setzen Sie sich Mix besser durch.
TREBLE REGLER: Bestimmt die Höhen. Starten Sie bei 6 und passen Sie von hier aus
nach Geschmack an.
PRESENCE REGLER: Bestimmt die oberen Höhen. Starten Sie bei 6 und passen Sie von
hier aus nach Geschmack an.
GAIN CUT SCHALTER: Bestimmt den Bereich des GAIN Reglers.
GAIN REGLER: Bestimmt den Grad der Verzerrung. Einfach nach Geschmack einstellen
und nicht schüchtern sein.
TIGHT SCHALTER: 3 Positionen die den Tiefbass Bereich des Verstärkers variieren.
INPUT: Gitarren-Eingang des BE MINI’s Verstärkers.
REAR PANEL
RETURN BUCHSE: Verbinden Sie hier den Ausgang Ihres Effektgerätes. Benutzen
Sie ein qualitativ hochwertiges Instrumentenkabel.
SEND BUCHSE: Verbinden Sie hier den Eingang Ihres Effektgerätes. Benutzen Sie
ein qualitativ hochwertiges Instrumentenkabel.
SPEAKER BUCHSE (2): Lautsprecher Anschluss. Wir empfehlen den einen An-
wendungsbereich von 8-16 Ohm (eine Box mit 8 Ohm oder zwei mit 16 Ohm). Das
verwenden einer 4 Ohm Box garantiert keinen Sicheren Betrieb, insbesondere wenn
der Verstärker mit höheren Lautstärken benutzt wird. Verwenden sie ausschließlich
ein Lautsprecherkabel.
POWER SUPPLY/NETZTEIL ANSCHLUSS: Verwenden Sie ausschließlich das
mitgelieferte Netzteil.

1. Lisez les instructions - Toutes les instructions de sécurité et de fonctionnement doivent être lues avant d’utiliser ce produit.
2. Conservez les instructions - Les instructions de sécurité et de fonctionnement doivent être conservées pour référence future.
3. Tenez compte des avertissements - Tous les avertissements sur l’amplificateur et dans le mode d’emploi doivent être respectés.

5. Eau et humidité - L’amplificateur ne doit pas être utilisé près de l’eau - par exemple, une baignoire, un lavabo, un évier de cuisine,
un lave linge, un sous-sol humide ou près d’une piscine, etc.
6. Chaleur - L’amplificateur doit être situé loin des sources de chaleur telles que les radiateurs, les registres de chaleur, les cuisinières
ou tout autre amplificateur (y compris les amplificateurs) qui produisent de la chaleur.
7. Sources d’alimentation - Ce produit ne doit être utilisé qu’avec le type de source d’alimentation indiqué sur l’étiquette signalétique.
8. Protection du cordon d’alimentation
- Les cordons d’alimentation doivent être acheminés de sorte qu’ils ne soient pas susceptibles d’être piétinés ou pincés par des objets
placés sur ou contre eux, en accordant une attention particulière au cordon en correspondance avec les fiches, les prises de courant et
le point où ils sortent du amplificateur.
9. Nettoyage - L’amplificateur doit être nettoyé uniquement selon les recommandations du fabricant. Nettoyez en essuyant avec un
chiffon légèrement humide, avec de l’eau. Évitez de mettre de l’eau à l’intérieur de l’amplificateur.
10. Objet et entrée de liquide
- Des précautions doivent être prises afin que les objets ne tombent pas et que des liquides ne soient pas renversés dans le boîtier par
les ouvertures.
11. Dommages nécessitant une réparation
- L’amplificateur doit être entretenu par un professionnel qualifié lorsque:
A. Le cordon d’alimentation ou la fiche a été endommagé; ou
B. Des objets sont tombés ou du liquide a été renversé dans l’amplificateur; ou
C. L’amplificateur a été exposé à la pluie
D. L’amplificateur ne semble pas fonctionner normalement ou présente un changement marqué dans les performances
12. Entretien - L’utilisateur ne doit pas essayer de réparer l’amplificateur au-delà de ce qui est décrit dans le mode d’emploi.
Toutes les autres réparations doivent être confiées à un technicien professionnel qualifié.
13. Pièces de rechange - Lorsque des pièces de rechange sont nécessaires, assurez-vous que le technicien de maintenance a utilisé
des pièces de rechange spécifiées par le fabricant ,ou, qui ont les mêmes caractéristiques que la pièce d’origine. Les substitutions non
autorisées peuvent entraîner un incendie, une décharge électrique ou d’autres dangers.

ATTENTION!
FACE AVANT
INTERRUPTEUR D’ALIMENTATION / VOYANT INDICATEUR: Met l’amplificateur
sous tension. Vous devez connecter le haut-parleur avant de l’allumer. Si vous sou-
haitez utiliser l’ampli comme préampli (en prenant le signal des effets Send), vous
n’avez pas besoin de brancher une enceinte.
Important: ne connectez pas le haut-parleur lorsque l’ampli est sous
tension.
VOL: ajuste le niveau de sortie général et détermine le niveau au SEND de la FX LOOP.
BASS: Cela ajoute ou enlève les basses ou les graves. Au fur et à mesure que l’ampli
devient plus fort, vous voudrez peut-être revenir un peu en arrière. Commencez à 7-10
pour les volumes faibles.
MID: ajoute ou supprime les médiums. Commencez à 4 ou 5, des réglages plus bas
couperont les médiums, des niveaux plus élevés permettront de passer à travers le mix.
TREB: ajoute ou supprime les aigus. Commencez à 6 et ajustez suivant vos préférences.
PRES: ajuste les extrêmes aigus. Commencez à environ 6-8 et ajustez en fonction de vos
goût.
SWITCH CUT : ajuste la plage du potentiomètre GAIN.
GAIN: Cela ajoute du gain / distorsion. Ajustez suivant vos goûts et surtout n’ayez pas
peur.
SWITCH TIGHT: interrupteur à 3 positions qui fait varier les basses fréquences.
ENTRÉE: Tout comme il est dit. Il s’agit de la prise d’entrée de guitare du BE MINI.
FACE ARRIERE
RETURN: C’est là que vous branchez la sortie de vos effets. Utilisez un câble de
guitare blindé de haute qualité.
SEND: C’est ici que vous branchez l’ENTRÉE de vos effets. Utilisez un câble de
guitare blindé de haute qualité.
JACKS DE HAUT-PARLEURS (2): branchez votre ou vos enceintes haut-parleur ici.
Nous recommandons un fonctionnement de 8 à 16 ohms uniquement (baffle de 8
ohms ou 2 x 16 ohms). La connexion à un haut-parleur de 4 ohms ne garantit pas
un fonctionnement sûr, en particulier lorsqu’il est joué à des niveaux plus élevés.
Utilisez UNIQUEMENT un câble d’enceinte.
Important: connectez ou déconnectez l’enceinte UNIQUEMENT avec l’ampli
éteint !!!
ENTRÉE D’ALIMENTATION: Branchez le cordon d’alimentation fourni ici et dans
une prise murale pour alimenter la bete.
