Ice Dispenser Tips
1. Ice cubes stored too long may develop an odd flavor. Empty the container
and returnit to theproperposition. Ice makerwill thenproduce moreice.
2. Occasionallyshake container tokeepice separated.
3. Ifdispensing armis pushedin formore than4 minutes, thedispenser motormay
overloadandstop.Theoverloadprotectorwillreset automatically after 3 or4
minutes.Ifalargequantityoficeisneededatonetime,itisbesttoremovecubes
directlyfromicestoragebin.
4. Certain sounds are normal when the ice maker is operating. They are:
• Motor operation
• Ice being loosened from the tray
• Icedropping intothestorage bin
• Running water
• Water valve opening or closing

5. Stoptheice makerwhen cleaningthe freezer, orforlong vacations.
6. Ifthe icemakeris to beturned offfor alongperiod of time,turn watersupply
valvetotheclosedposition.
Cleaning the Ice Dispenser
Cleanthedispenserandicestoragebinatregularintervals,particularlybeforeyou
takeavacation,move,orificedispensersticks.
1. Stopice productionby liftingthe wiresignal armto the"up" orOFF position.
2. Removeice storage binbylifting up andout.Empty and carefully cleanbin with
milddetergent.Do notsubmerge auger whilecleaning. Rinsewith clear water.
Donot useharsh or abrasivecleaners. Allow ice binto drycompletely before
replacinginthefreezer.
3. Removeicechips,andcleantheshelfandchutethatsupportstheicestoragebin.
4. Replace ice storage bin. Lower the wire signal arm on the ice maker to the
"down" or ON position. Ice maker will resume production.
IMPORTANT: When removing or replacing ice bin, do not rotate the auger in the
icebin. If auger isaccidentally turned, you mustrealigntheaugerbyturningitin
90°turns, untilthe icebinfits intoplace withthedrive mechanism.Forfurther
instruction,seelabelonicebucket.
Remove and empty the ice storage bin if:
1. Anextendedpowerfailure(onehourorlonger)causesicecubesintheicestorage
bin to melt, freeze together, and jam the dispenser mechanism.
2. Theicedispenserisnotusedfrequently.Icecubeswillfreezetogetherinthebin
and jam dispenser mechanism. Remove ice storage bin, and shake to loosen
cubes.
NEVERuse anicepickor similar sharp instrumenttobreakupice. This could damage
the ice storage bin and dispenser mechanism.

System Startup:
Water supply does not need to be turned off, however do not use ice and water
dispenserwhileinstallingfilter. RefertoFigure1asyoucompletetheseinstructions.
1. Takefiltercartridge,largeO-ring,andwrenchfrom parts bagincrisperpan.
2. Setice maker lever(signal arm) totheOFF (up) position.
