Operation
Followthesestepswhenworkingwithyourcaddy.
1.Completealloperationswiththe
propersafetygearthatincludeseye
goggles,hotoilgloves,andahot
oil apron.
2.Makesurethelterbasketis
inplacebeforeoilisdrainedinto
thecaddy.
3.Openthelidonthecaddy
andpositionitunderthefryer.
4.Draintheusedcookingoil
intothecaddybeingcarefulof
hotoil.Grillgreaseorchicken
drippingsmaybedisposedif
placedinthelterbasketand
mixedwithhotoil.
5. Note that the temperature
shouldbeatleast100F(38C)
butnothigherthan375F
(190C).
Never drain oil into the caddy without the lter basket in place as this will cause serious
damage to the pump.
6.Securethecaddylidwiththe
safetylatchbeforemovingthe
caddy.

DANGER: This ltering unit is intended for use with oil at temperatures between 100° F (38° C)
and 375° F (190°C). Always wear protective, heat-resistant gloves, heat-resistant apron and
goggles when using this equipment. Failure to properly use this equipment can lead to serious
injury or death.

7.Carefullypull/pushthecaddyslowlytotheusedoilstoragetankorremotellstation.
8.Checkthestoragetankandmakesurethegreenlightislitonthepanel.IfthegreenlightisnotON,thesystemhaslost
power(SeeTroubleshooting).
9.Connectthehosefromthecaddytothestoragetankorllstationbyconnectingthelargefemalettingonthecaddy
hosetothemalettingonthetank.Withtheouterringpulledback,pushthefemalettingontothemalettingonthe
tankorllstation.
10.Gentlypullonthecaddyhosetoensureaproperconnectionhasbeenmade.
IMPORTANT – The caddy pump could be damaged if this is not properly connected.
11.Plugtheelectricalcordfromthecaddymotorintothereceptaclelocatedonthestoragetankcontrolpanel.
IMPORTANT – Use of any receptacle other than the one in the control panel could result in a
tank overow.

DANGER: The caddy lid is designed to prevent hot oil spills when transporting the caddy.
Failure to use the lid or properly secure the lid may result in hot oil spills, which can lead to
serious injury or death.

12. Thecaddymotorswitchislocatedontherearofthemotor,andwillneedtobeinthe“ON”position.
13.PushinandHOLDtheblackbuttononthecontrolpanellabeled“PUSHTOPUMP”.
14.Whenthecaddyisemptyofwasteshortening,continuetoholdthebuttonandrunthepumpforanadditional30
seconds.Whennished,releasetheblackbuttononthecontrolpanelface.Notethatthepumpwillmakeadierentsound
whenthecaddyisempty.
15.Useglovestodisconnectthehosefromthetankandplacethefemalettingontothemalettingontopofthecaddy.
IMPORTANT – The hose will be HOT. Use gloves!
16.Pushtheblackbuttononthecontrolpanelagaintodrainanyoilleftinthehosebackintothecaddy.
17.Disconnectthepowercordfromthetankcontrolpanelandsecurethepowercordtothecaddy.
18.Cleanthelterbasketwithhotsoapywaterordegreaser.
19.Dryandreplacelterbasketbackinsidethecaddy.
20.Cleantheoutsideofthecaddywithstainlesscleaner.

Pressthemotorresetswitchonthebackofthecaddymotor.
Thecaddypowercord

connection.
Ensurethecaddypowercordiscompletelypluggedintothe
motorandthecontrolpanelreceptacle.
Thetankorcontrolpanel
atthellstationhaslost
power.
Ensurethetankorllstationcontrolpanelarepluggedin.
Ensuretheoutletthatthetankorllstationcontrolpanelis
pluggedintohasnotlostpower.
Ifthereisnopowertotheoutletmakesurethecircuitbreaker
hasnottrippedorthattheoutletisnotonaswitchthathas
beenturnedo.
Caddymotorrunsbutno
oilwillpump.
Disconnectttingsarenot
properlyconnected.
Makesurethefemaledisconnectttingisproperlyconnected
tothemaletting.
Caddyhosemaybe
pluggedwithgrease.
Runthecaddyhoseunderhotwatertoliquefyanygreasethat
maybecloggingthehose.
Caddypumpmaybe
pluggedwithgrease.
Removethefourscrewsonthefrontofthepumpandcleanthe
inletandoutletportofthepump,andtherotorgear.
Makesurethatnothingisblockingtheinlettubethatgoes
downintotheoil.
Assurethattheoilbeingdiscardedisinliquidstate.
Call 330-861-1100 if you have checked all of the above and the problem still has not been resolved.

Cautions and notes
Followthesecautionsandnotes.
1.Alwayskeepthescreeninplacewhendrainingoilintothecart.Drainingoilintothecaddywithoutthelterbasketinplacewill
causeseriousdamagetothepumpandstoragetank.Thiswillvoidthewarrantyontheequipment.
2.Neverattempttopumpsolidorcoldgrease–thiswillclogthepump.Makesureoiliswarmandliquidbeforepumping.
3.Donotattempttopumpoilifgreenlightonthecontrolpanelisnotlit.
4.Grillgreaseorchickendrippingsmaybepumpedifplacedinlterbasketandmixedwithhotoil.Failuretomixwithhotoilwillclog
pumpandlterbasketandcoulddamageboth.

Limited Warranty for Frontline International, Inc. Appliances
Subjecttothefollowingconditions,FrontlineInternationalInc.makesthefollowinglimitedwarrantiestotheoriginal
purchaseronlyforFrontlineInternationalappliancesandreplacementparts:
NEW EQUIPMENT:Anynon-userpartofanewappliance,exceptlamps,whichprovestobedefectiveinmaterialor
workmanshipwithinone(1)yearfromdateoforiginalshipment,willberepairedorreplacedwithoutchargeF.O.B.factory,
CuyahogaFalls,Ohio,orF.O.B.authorizeddistributor.Non-userpartsonsystemsspecicallyincludeheater,levelswitch,
andthecontrolpanel.Motors,pumps,andcustomerabusewillnotbecoveredbythiswarranty.
REPLACEMENT PARTS:Anyappliancepart,exceptlamps,whichprovestobedefectiveinmaterialorworkmanship
withinninety(90)daysfromthedateoforiginalinstallation,willberepairedorreplacedwithoutchargeF.O.B.factory,
CuyahogaFalls,OhioorF.O.B.authorizeddistributor.
Thiswarrantyfornewequipmentpartscoverstherepairorreplacementofthedefectivepart,andanylaborchargesforthe
removalandinstallationofanynon-userpartspeciedabove.Replacementpartsdonothaveanylaborcoverage.
AnyclaimmustberepresentedtoeitherFrontlineInternationalorthedistributorfromwhomtheappliancewaspurchased.
NoallowancewillbegrantedforrepairsmadebyanyoneelsewithoutFrontlineInternational’swrittenconsent.Ifdamage
occursduringshipping,notifythesenderatoncesothataclaimcanbeled.
THEABOVELIMITEDWARRANTYSETSFORTHTHESOLEREMEDYAGAINSTFRONTLINEINTERNATIONALFORANYBREACH
OFWARRANTYOROTHERTERM.BUYERAGREESTHATNOOTHERREMEDY(INCLUDINGCLAIMSFORANYINCIDENTALOR
CONSEQUENTIALDAMAGES)SHALLBEAVAILABLE.
Theabovewarrantydoesnotapply(a)todamageresultingfromaccident,alteration,misuse,orabuse;(b)tocoldoil
instoragetankduetomainpowerbeingremovedorunpluggedfromasystem;(c)iftheequipmentsserialnumberis
removedordefaced;or(d)forlamps.
