Bedienungsanleitung
Vor der Installation und Inbetriebnahme des Produktes
lesen Sie bitte die folgenden Anweisungen.
Wir empfehlen Ihnen, diese Anleitung für eine zukünftige Verwendung zu behalten.
Garantie
Der Fuba Einkabel-Multischalter MCR 918 ist für die Verteilung von Satelliten-Signalen
und terrestrischen Fernseh- und Radio-Signalen in Hausinstallationen konzipiert. Die
Garantie gilt nicht für Produkte, die für andere Zwecke benutzt werden. Der Anwender/
Installateur haftet für Schäden, die durch nicht Beachten dieser Anweisungen entstehen.
Installationsort
Montieren Sie den Einkabel-Multischalter auf eine Wand oder eine andere schwer brennbare
Oberfläche an einem trockenen Ort, wo er nicht Regen oder Wasser ausgesetzt ist.
Montieren Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wärmequellen
oder an Orten mit direkter Sonneneinstrahlung.
Das Produkt darf in keinem Fall an den angeschlossenen Kabeln hängen.
Produkt-Installation
Benutzen Sie für die Verbindungen qualitativ hochwertige Kabel
mit einem Schirmungsmaß von mindestens 90 dB.
Wenn Sie Steckdosen zur Durchschleifung der acht Teilnehmer benutzen, stellen Sie
sicher, dass die Wandsteckdosen für Satellitenempfang und mit Unicable-Technologie
kompatibel sind, und dass sie eine bidirektionale Signal-Übertragung ermöglichen.
Die folgende Abbildung zeigt die Installationskonfigurationen, die das Produkt unterstützt:

Der Multischalter ist mit einem terrestrischen Eingang ausgestattet.
Schließen Sie die terrestrische Antenne an diesen Eingang an:

Die Legacy-Ausgänge sind Standard Universal-Ausgänge, sie ermöglichen den Anschluss
von zwei Empfängern ohne Unicable-Unterstützung.
Der Unicable-Ausgang erlaubt das Anschließen von bis zu acht Receivern, jeder
muss einer der acht Benutzerfrequenzen des Multischalters zugeordnet sein.
Benutzerfrequenzen: 0 – 1076,06 MHz 4 – 1484,30 MHz
1 – 1178,12 MHz 5 – 1586,36 MHz
2 – 1280,18 MHz 6 – 1688,42 MHz
3 – 1382,24 MHz 7 – 1790,48 MHz
Für eine optimale Funktion folgen Sie bitte den Empfehlungen:
• Verwenden Sie die höchste Frequenz für eine Antennensteckdose, die sich in der Nähe
des Multischalters befindet und die niedrigste Frequenz für die Antennensteckdose, die sich
am weitesten von Multischalter befindet.
• Wenn Sie weniger als acht Receiver verwenden, benutzen Sie die niedrigsten Frequenzen.
• Wir empfehlen, die Frequenz jedes Benutzers zu notieren.
Die am Unicable-Ausgang angeschlossenen Satellitenreceiver müssen
Unicable-kompatibel sein (in der Regel mit Unicable™-Logo).
Hinweis: Die nicht benutzten Ausgänge müssen mit galvanisch
getrennten 75-Ohm-Endwiderständen abgeschlossen werden.
Sicherheit
• Öffnen Sie niemals ein am Stromnetz angeschlossenes Produkt: Stromschlaggefahr !
• Arbeiten Sie niemals an dem Multischalter, Fernseher oder anderen angeschlossenen
Geräten während oder vor einem Gewitter. Ein Blitzschlag in die Antenne kann zu
gefährlichen Hochspannungen führen.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Betriebsspannung des Netzteils dem Stromnetz entspricht.
• Wenn der Multischalter in Kontakt mit Flüssigkeit gekommen ist, muss er vom Netz
getrennt werden.
• Wir empfehlen, das Gerät vom Netz zu trennen, wenn für es für längere Zeit nicht benutzt
wird.
• Der Multischalter darf nur von qualifiziertem Personal installiert und repariert werden.

Fehlersuche
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Satellitenantenne und der LNB angeschlossen und eingestellt
sind und dass die Satellitenreceiver installiert, angeschlossen und eingeschaltet sind.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine Kurzschlüsse vorhanden sind, sonst
wird die Stromversorgung des LNB verhindert. Wenn dies der Fall sein
sollte, trennen Sie das Gerät vom Netz, entfernen den Kurzschluss
und verbinden den Multischalter wieder mit dem Stromnetz.
• Häufige Fehler sind Kurzschlüsse in den Steckverbinder, wenn Drähte
der Abschirmung des Kabels Verbindung mit der Seele haben.
• Manchmal ist ein Reset des Multischalter-Mikroprozessors
ausreichend, um einen Fehler zu beheben: einfach den Multischalter
für 30 Sekunden vom Netz trennen, dann wieder einschalten.
• Wenn Sie nicht in der Lage sind, den Fehler zu beheben,
setzen Sie sich bitte mit Ihrem Händler in Verbindung.
Entsorgung
Nach den einschlägigen EU-Richtlinien darf dieses Gerät nicht zusammen mit den
kommunalen Abfällen entsorgt werden.
Verwenden Sie die lokale Abfallsammlung und Recycling-Systeme.

Installation manual
Before installing and operating the product, please read the
following instructions and recommendations.
We suggest that you keep this manual for future use.
Warranty
The Unicable multiswitch is designed for the distribution of satellite and
terrestrial television and radio signals in home installations. The warranty does
not apply for products used for other purposes than those specified herein.
The user/installer shall be responsible for any damage incurred as a result
of not using the product according to the instructions in this manual.
Installation location
The product shall be installed on a wall or other hard inflammable surface in
a dry environment where it is not exposed to rain or running water.
Do not install the product close to heat sources or in places exposed to direct sunlight.
The product shall be in no case held only with the connected cables.
Product installation
To connect the product inputs and outputs use high-quality coaxial cables designed for
satellite reception and F-connectors. Use high-shielding coaxial cables with minimum 90 dB.
If you use wall sockets to loopthrough the 8 user bands, make sure
the wall sockets were designed for satellite reception compatible with
Unicable technology and allows bidirectional signal propagation.
The following diagram describes the installation configurations supported by the product:

The multiswitch is equipped with Terrestrial input. Connect
the Terrestrial antenna to this input::

There are two output connectors:

The Legacy outputs are standard Universal switching outputs which allow to connect two
legacy receiver which are not supporting the Unicable protocol.
The Unicable output allows to connect up to eight receiver tuners – each receiver tuner
is assigned with one out of eight communication channel frequencies (user band).
User Bands: 0 – 1076,06 MHz 4 – 1484,30 MHz
1 – 1178,12 MHz 5 – 1586,36 MHz
2 – 1280,18 MHz 6 – 1688,42 MHz
3 – 1382,24 MHz 7 – 1790,48 MHz
For optimized performance, please follow the recommendations below:
• Use the highest frequency for a wall socket located nearest to the multiswitch and use the
lowest frequency for wall socket located farest to the multiswitch.
• If you install less than eight receiver tuners, use the lowest frequencies first.
• We also recommend to keep record of the user bands allocated to the different
connections as these user bands will then have to be set in the receiver.
The satellite receivers connected to the multiswitch have to be
Unicable-compatible (usually marked with Unicable™ logo).
Note: Loopthrough outputs that are not used should be
terminated with 75ohm DC-blocked terminations.
Safety
• Never open a powered product. This may result in electrical hazard !
• Never work on the product, TV set or other powered devices during or before a storm.
A lightning strike into the antenna may cause dangerous overvoltage over the product’s
metallic/conductive parts.
• Make sure the local electricity network corresponds to the operating voltage of the
AC/DC adaptor.
• If the products gets into contact with liquid it must be disconnected from the main power.
• It is recommended to disconnect the product from the main power if it is not used for long
periods of time.
• The product shall be serviced by qualified experts only.

Troubleshooting
• Make sure the satellite antenna and LNB are properly fixed, connected
and adjusted and that the satellite receivers are installed, connected
and switched on according to available instructions.
• Ensure there is no short circuit on the product inputs. This will prevent power to the LNB.
If this is the case, disconnect the product from the main power, and then find and remove
the short circuit on the product inputs. Then re-connect the multiswitch to the main power.
• Frequent defects are in connector joints i.e. if the central conductor is
too short and fails to make contact in the connector. Also the shielding
braid should make proper contact with the connector coat.
• Sometimes a reset to the multiswitch microprocessor is sufficient to remove a fault: simply
disconnect the multiswitch from main power for 30 seconds and then reconnect again.
• If you are unable to remove the fault yourself, please contact your distributor.
Disposal
Following relevant EU directives, this device shall not be disposed of together with municipal
waste.
Use local waste collection and recycling systems to dispose wore out products.
