1.2. Applied Regulation
Regulation (EU) 2014/35/UE and Regulation (EU) 2014/30/UE.
The device, in the configurations and variants presented, has been designed to prevent the
increments of the environment contamination due to contaminated air.
ATTENTION! the device is not intended for disinfection.
1.3. Description
-
LEVANTE is an air sanitization and purification device intended for indoor
environments. The system is based on the principle of photocatalysis. By moving air
across a support impregnated with a solution based on copper metal nanoclusters.
LEVANTE does not use any type of additional electrostatic filtration.
Thanks to the oxidation reaction and the products that derive from them by virtue of
the energizing activity resulting from the action of the catalyst, the air is sanitized and
purified by systematically eliminating the harmful agents present in it, such as:

The inactivation of the infectious viral load SARS-CoV-2 was verified according to
tests performed at the viral pathogenesis and biosecurity laboratory of the San
Raffaele hospital in Milan. The test was performed in a liquid environment on a
circular shaped test object.

- GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1. Intended Use
The device intended to be used in commercial, domestic and similar environments for air
sanitization. It is used to reduce the potential presence of pathogens like bacteria,
viruses and pollutants including particles, VOC, NOX and odors. The intended us of the
device is for enclosed environments where prevention of potential contamination is
required. The device does not perform a disinfection function of the air or the
environment.

1.4. Symbology
To make reading the manual comfortable and clear, the symbols used
to manage the important warnings for a correct and safe use of the
device are shown below.
The device does not require the use of any type of biocidal chemical substance or
potentially harmful light sources and can therefore be operated safely in the
presence of people.

that alerts the user of a proper use of the device and / or to the
execution of specific actions. It also represents the need to pay

comply with the rules or precautions listed below and reported in this user manual

This appliance is intended exclusively for use in commercial and domestic
environments that are enclosed and sheltered from atmospheric agents. The
device can also be used by non-experts and in indoor environments such as
shops, offices, hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, residential and similar enclosed
spaces.
Do not use the appliance outdoors, in areas with a high amount of dust or in
environments with extremely volatile materials that could clog the filters or
damage the motors.
The appliance must be kept out of the reach of children.
Make sure that the appliance does not come into contact with water or other
liquids.
Do not obstruct the air passage grilles of the appliance with cloths, rags or
various similar objects during operation.
Do not place device near furniture, furnishing accessories or walls that could limit
the air flow.
Do not sit or lean on the product.
Do not place objects on top of the product.
Do not rest the product on unstable or inclined surfaces.
The electrical socket must be easily accessible so that the plug can be pulled out
easily in case of an emergency.
Unplug the power plug if you do not use the appliance for a long period of time.
Do not move the appliance when it is in operation.
Keep animals away from LEVANTE and its power cable.
To avoid tripping, position the power cord properly.
Do not clean the surfaces of the product with petrol, thinners, chlorine or acid
detergents.
This appliance is not a substitute for ventilation or cleaning equipment.
Therefore, it is recommended to keep the rooms clean with vacuum cleaners or
cleaning devices.
Do not pull the power cord or the appliance to disconnect the plug from the
socket. Disconnect using the plug.
Do not use LEVANTE if it does not appear to be working properly. In this case,
turn off the appliance, disconnect the power plug and contact qualified
personnel.

Do not insert any tools or fingers into the air
passage grilles.
Do not disassemble or remove components of the
appliance. The only exception is the filter tray for
regular maintenance of the dust filter.
Do not damage or tamper with the power cord. It
must be replaced by the manufacturer or a
qualified service technician in order to prevent any
risk.
Never immerse the plug, the electric cable and the
appliance in water or any other liquid.
Do not handle the plug or the device with wet
hands.
Do not use the appliance in humid environments,
such as bathrooms, saunas, tubs, sinks and
swimming pools.
Keep away from heat sources such as fireplaces,
ovens, stoves and radiators.
Do not use the appliance if flammable sprays,
insecticides or in places where oily residues or
chemical vapors are present.

The packaging elements must not be left within the reach of children
as they are potential sources of danger, but must be disposed of in
accordance with the regulations in force in the appropriate containers
for waste collection.
2 - INSTALLATION
2.1. Installation Method
Open the package and remove the device by handling it on the sides. Open the
protective bag and remove the Levante paying attention to the power cable.

Before connecting the appliance to an electrical outlet, check that the
voltage and frequency values shown on the label correspond to those of
the electrical system.
In case of incompatibility between the electrical outlet and the plug of
the appliance, have the plug replaced with another of a suitable type by
professionally qualified personnel. The plug must be suitable for the
power absorbed by the appliance.
In general, the use of adapters and / or extensions is not recommended.
If their use is essential, they must comply with current safety standards
and their current capacity (Ampere) must not be less than the maximum
of the appliance.

Verify the integrity of the device. In case of obvious damage or doubts about the
integrity of the appliance, do not use the Levante and contact professionally qualified
personnel.

3.2. Device Operation
The device has two start modes:
Manual start mode.
Automatic start mode.
The operation of the two modes is described in the following paragraphs
Normally the device is delivered in manual start mode
To switch from one operating mode to another, follow the instructions described below
Press and hold the "FAN SPEED" and
"ON / OFF" buttons simultaneously
for at least 5 seconds.
When the control panel lights blink,
it means that the sanitizer has
changed mode.

Connect the power plug of the
device to the electrical socket.
The control panel illuminates the “ON
/
OFF”
and
“FAN
SPEED”
indicators.
Press the “ON / OFF” button to start
the device on fan speed 1.
Press the "fan speed" button once to
switch from speed 1 to speed 2.
Press the "fan speed" button again to
switch from speed 2 to speed 3.
The next time the button is pressed,
the fans will run on speed 1.
Pressing the button again will repeat
the cycle from the beginning.
“Filter Maintenance” illuminates.
See the MAINTENANCE section.

3.2.1. Manual Start Mode

Connect the power plug of the
device to the electrical socket.

medium fan speed.
As the same to manual mode, Press
the "FAN SPEED" button will be
possible to switch from one speed to
the other speed.
3.2.2. Automatic Start Mode

4 - MAINTENANCE
4.1. Regular Maintenance (Filter Cleaning)
After about 2000 hours of operation, it is
necessary to clean or replace the air filter
inside the appliance.
When the "FILTER MAINTENANCE"
indicator illuminates, proceed as follows:

Pull out the filter tray and turn it over.
Remove the filter from the tray.
Wash the filter under running water.
Make sure that the filter is completely
dry before reinstallation.

Open the filter tray by pulling the
handle outwards.
If the device has not been switched
off, it will automatically switch off
when the drawer is opened.

Insert the filter into the tray.
Carefully spread the filter into its
housing making sure that there are
no raised edges or creases on the
filter.
Flip the tray and slide it back into
the device.
Slide the filter tray until it reaches
its closed position.
After cleaning/replacing the filter,
the maintenance indicator will still
be i
lluminated.
Click simultaneously the "FAN
SPEED" and "ON / OFF" buttons two
times quickly.
The fan speed indicator LED will
flash two times, and the
maintenance indicator will turn off.

4.2. Extraordinary Maintenance
Any type of intervention, in the event of failure or restoration of functionality, is
considered to be part of extraordinary maintenance or repairs. These types of
interventions must be carried out only by FUEL S.r.l. service technician or by
personnel adequately qualified, specialized and trained for this kind of maintenance.
ATTENTION: EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
INTERVENTIONS OR REPAIRS NOT AUTHORIZED BY FUEL
S.r.l. WILL BE CONSIDERED AS TAMPERING WITH THE
DEVICE. THE RESULT WILL IMMEDIATELY ELIMINATE THE
VALUE OF THE CE CERTIFICATION THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY
In the event that what is indicated in this section is
disregarded, the validity of the CE marking becomes invalid. It
transfers all responsibility to the executor of the activities
unauthorized, thus relieving the manufacturer of liability for
damage to persons, property or the installation environment.
5 - DISPOSAL
INFORMATION FOR DISPOSAL OR RECYCLING AT THE END OF THE
PRODUCT'S LIFE CYCLE
(for countries belonging to the European Union)
This product falls within the scope of Directive 2002/96 / EC, also referred to as WEEE,
relating to waste from electrical and electronic equipment. The purpose of the directive is to
prevent, and therefore limit, the production of waste resulting from such equipment and to
promote its reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery, in order to protect the
environment and public health from possible harmful effects. The crossed-out wheeled bin
symbol indicates that the product is subject to the provisions of the Directive: therefore,
at the end of its life cycle, it cannot be disposed of as mixed municipal waste, but must be
delivered to specialized collection facilities, as prescribed by local regulations or by the
distributor. The manufacturer, the importer and the distributor are responsible for the
collection and disposal, both in the event that these take place directly, and in the event that
they are carried out through a separate waste collection system. Any clarification as well as
any other information may in any case be provided by the distributor / installer where this
product was purchased or by the local waste authority.

8 - STORAGE
This device is supplied in its box and sealed in a pouch.
We recommend opening the packaging just before using the device. If it is
necessary to store the device whose packaging has already been opened, it is
recommended to replace it with a new one or to seal it, so that dust or moisture
does not come into contact with the device. In case of storage of the device even
for a short period, make sure that there are no sources of heat in the vicinity, water
and excessive humidity. We recommend storing the devices in a closed and
sheltered environment.
