AF-S（シングル AF）使用時にシャッターボタンを半
押ししたまま、フォーカスリングを回すと、マニュ
アルフォーカスで使用できます。撮影メニューの
AF+MF でON を選ぶと、この機能を使用できます。
この機能が ON のときは、MF 時に設定したフォーカ
スアシスト（スタンダード、フォーカスピーキングの
み）の設定が有効になります。
Q距離指標付レンズ（XF14mmF2.8 R、XF23mmF1.4 R）を
お使いの場合は、カメラ側を AF-S、レンズ側を距離指標
モード（MF）に設定すると、AF+MF モードが使用可能に
なります。このとき、レンズの距離指標は無効になります。
Q距離指標付レンズをお使いの場合は、フォーカスリングを
あらかじめ距離指標の中央の位置にセットしてください
（フォーカスリングの距離指標を最短距離または無限遠に
セットすると、ピントが合わない場合があります）。
■AF+MF 時のフォーカス位置拡大表示について
• セットアップメニューの表示設定 > フォーカスチェックを
ON にすると、 AF モードがシングルポイントのときにフォー
カス位置を拡大表示できます。
• AF+MF 操作時の拡大倍率は、MF 操作時に設定されていた
拡大表示倍率（2.5 倍または 6倍）になります。

ドを選べます。また、シャッター音を消して撮影でき
ます。
R電子シャッター使用時は、以下の機能制限があります。
• 感度は 6400 〜200、シャッタースピードは 1/32000 〜1秒
に制限されます。
• ぐるっとパノラマ撮影時は、メカニカルシャッターにな
ります。
• 電子シャッターで撮影されるときは、長秒時ノイズ低減
は機能しません。
• 連写撮影では、ピントや露出は 1コマ目を撮影したとき
に決定され、途中で変えられません。
Q電子シャッター使用時は、以下のことにご注意ください。
• 動いている被写体を撮影すると、画像が歪んで撮影され
る場合があります。
• 瞬間的な光や、蛍光灯などの照明下では、帯状のムラが
撮影されることがあります。
• シャッター音を消して撮影できますが、被写体のプライ
バシーや肖像権などに十分ご配慮のうえ、お客様の責任
でお使いください。

「HS-V5」を使用しない場合は、必ず USB モードをMTP
(PTP) に設定してください。他のモードに設定していると

録画像の転送ができません。

PC シューティング中も有効になります。PC シュー

フォーカスモードを Sまたは Cに設定したときのピント合わせのエリア変更は、AF モードの設定によって、操
作が異なります。
■AF モードがシングルポイントの場合
前バージョンの tエリア選択を設定しているときと同じです。
■AF モードがゾーンの場合
ファンクション（Fn6）ボタンを押すと、フォーカスエリアが表示されます。
フォーカスエリアの位置やサイズを変更して、MENU/OK ボタンを押すと、
フォーカスエリアが設定されます。
フォーカスエリア
• efgh で、ピントを合わせたい位置にフォーカスエリアを移動しま
す。
RDISP/BACK ボタンを押すと、フォーカスエリアが中央に戻ります。
• リアコマンドダイヤルを回して、フォーカスエリアのサイズを変更しま

R右に回すとサイズが 5 ×5、3 ×3 、5 ×3 、5×5 の順で拡大されます。左に
回すと逆の順に大きさが変わります。FOCUS ASSIST ボタンを押すと、5×3 に
戻ります。

ます。フォーカスエリアをトラッキングしたい被写体の位置に移動し

シャッターボタンを半押ししている間は被写体の動きと位置に合わせてピ
ントを合わせ続けます。

An EYE DETECTION AF option has been added to
the AUTOFOCUS SETTING item in the shooting
menu.
Choose whether the camera detects and focuses on
eyes when Intelligent Face Detection is on. Choose
from uAUTO (the camera automatically chooses
which eye to focus on), wRIGHT EYE PRIORITY (the
camera focuses on the right eye), vLEFT EYE PRI-
ORITY (the camera focuses on the left eye), and OFF
(eye focus o ).
RIf the camera is unable to detect the subject’s eyes because
they are hidden by hair, glasses, or other objects, the cam-

The options available for the AUTOFOCUS SET-
TING> AF MODE item in the shooting menu have
changed.
• rSINGLE POINT: The camera focuses on the sub-
ject in the selected focus point. Use for pin-point fo-
cus on a selected subject (PEN-7).
• yZONE: The camera focuses on the subject in the
selected focus zone. Focus zones include multiple
focus points (5× 3, 5 × 5, or 3 × 3), making it easier to
focus on subjects that are in motion (PEN-7).
• zWIDE/TRACKING: In focus mode C, the camera
tracks focus on the subject in the selected focus point
while the shutter-release button is pressed halfway. In
focus mode S, the camera automatically focuses on
high-contrast subjects; the areas in focus are shown
in the display. The camera may be unable to focus
on small objects or subjects that are moving rapidly
(PEN-8).

A AF + MF option has been added to the shooting
menu.
If ON is selected for AF + MF in the shooting menu
when AF-S (single AF) is selected for focus mode, fo-
cus can be adjusted manually by rotating the focus
ring while the shutter button is pressed halfway. Both
standard and focus peaking MF assist options are
supported. Lenses with a focus distance indicator
(the XF14mmF2.8 R and XF23mmF1.4 R) must be set
to manual focus mode (MF) before this option can be
used. Selecting MF disables the focus distance indica-
tor. Set the focus ring to the center of the focus dis-
tance indicator, as the camera may fail to focus if the
ring is set to innity or the minimum focus distance.
■ AF + MF Focus Zoom
When ON is selected for SCREEN SET-UP > FOCUS
CHECK in the setup menu and SINGLE POINT select-
ed for AF MODE, focus zoom can be used to zoom in
on the selected focus area. The zoom ratio is the same
as that selected in manual focus mode (from 2.5× to
6×) and can not be changed.

A SHUTTER TYPE option has been added to the
shooting menu.
IfELECTRONIC SHUTTER or MECHANICAL+ELECTRONIC
is selected, shutter speeds faster than / s can be
chosen by rotating the shutter speed dial to 4000 and
then rotating the command dial. The shutter sound
can be muted if desired.
RRegardless of the option selected, the mechanical shutter
is used for motion panoramas. When the electronic shutter
is used, shutter speed and sensitivity are restricted to val-
ues of /–1s and ISO 6400–200 respectively, and long
exposure noise reduction has no eect. In burst mode, fo-
cus and exposure are xed at the values for the rst shot
in each burst.
QDistortion may be visible in shots of moving subjects, while
banding and fog may occur in shots taken under uores-
cent lights or other ickering or erratic illumination. When
taking pictures with the shutter muted, respect your sub-
jects’image rights and right to privacy.

If PC SHOOT AUTO is selected for USB MODE in the
setup menu, optional HS-V5 tethered shooting soft-
ware can be used to take pictures remotely via a USB
connection and save the pictures to the computer. See
the HS-V5 manual for details.
QWhen not using HS-V5, select MTP (PTP) for USB MODE.
Pictures taken in other modes will not be saved to the
memory card or copied to a computer.
QThe POWER MANAGEMENT> AUTO POWER OFF option
in the setup menu now takes eect during tethered shoot-
ing using the optional tethered shooting software. To dis-
able auto power o during tethered shooting, select OFF

The procedure for selecting the focus point varies with the option chosen for AF mode.
■ Single Point AF
The procedure for selecting the focus point is the same as for AREA in the previous rmware version.
■ Zone AF
Press the function button (Fn6) to display the focus zone. Use the selector to
position the zone or press DISP/BACK to return the zone to the center of the
display.
Focus zone
To choose the number of focus frames in the zone, rotate the rear command
dial. Rotate the dial right to cycle through zone sizes in the order 5 × 5, 3 × 3,
5 × 3, 5 × 5…, left to cycle through zone sizes in reverse order, or press the
FOCUS ASSIST button to select a zone size of 5× 3. Press MENU/OK to put your
selection into eect.
