For Installers
Installation
•CAUTION
The air pump should be installed in a well ventilated place and away from direct sunlight
preferably undercover.
Install the air pump in a place which has neither direct rain water splashing nor water
immersion.
Do not install the air pump at the place which is under the kitchen fan or possible to take
air including oil into the air pump.
Avoid installing the air pump in a bedroom or other places where noises may be a
nuisance.
Install the air pump in a place that provides easy access for inspection and
maintenance.
•WARNING
All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician.
Do not place any object on the power cord.
Neglecting this note may cause electric shock and/or fire.
•CAUTION
Install the air pump close to the use point preferably within 5 meters. Pipe work should
be with minimum bends.
Install the air pump in a place where is apart from the building wall by over 20cm using
a concrete base so as not to transfer the vibration.
Make sure the concrete base for the air pump is level.
Connect the air pump and the pipe by a rubber tube tighten by a pinch cock.
Insert the power plug firmly into the power point. Do not pull out a plug by the cable. It
may damage the cable.
The air pump must be connected to a grounded, metallic, permanent wiring system, or
an equipment-grounding terminal or lead on the product.
For Freight / Express / Courier companies
Do not drop, throw, and tilt the air pump during the transportation. The internal parts may
get damaged, and the air pumps may not be working properly.

3
Test Operation
•CAUTION
The airline outlet area must be filled with water up to the prescribed line before turning
on the air pump.
Make sure the aeration is conducted properly.
Make sure the air pump is making no abnormal noise and vibration.
Measure the working pressure between the use point and air pump. The accepted
value for the pressure is ± 20% of the normal pressure which is specified on the air
pump name plate.

Inspection and Maintenance as required
A
diaphragm
change is only permitted by trained maintenance personnel. Work on electrical components
may only be carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Failure to adhere to this note may
cause abnormal heat generation, an
air flow volume decrease and/or
early breakage of the diaphragm.
(1) Air Filter
INSPECT AN
D CLEAN EVERY 3 OR 4 MONTHS AND
REPLACE EVERY YEAR
In order to optimize the lifespan of the air filter when it is
used in areas where dust accumulation may be high,
frequent maintenance is required. If the air filter gets
too dirty, replacement will be necessary.
REPLACE THE DIAPHRAGM/VALVE EVERY YEAR
If the diaphragm/valve becomes damaged, the automatic
-stop function engages (except MAC40RII). Furthe
r action
must be taken to rectify the problem or deterioration of the
use point
due to an inoperable air pump may result. A
discernable odour will be present in this event. The
diaphragm/valve assembly should be replaced before it gets
damaged.
Neglecting this note may adversely
affect the performance of the use point.
Caution! Working air pump is hot
When in operation, the lower part of the
air
pump gets hot. Do not touch directly.
Warning
Neglecting this note may cause injury and burn.

(2) Diaphragm / Valve
Attention
High pressure is strictly prohibited
Irregular heat generation and/or early diaphragm
breakage may result if operation of the air pump
is sustained at an abnormally high pressure.
Neglecting this note may cause material damage.
The a
ccepted value for the working pressure between the
use point and the air pump is ± 20%
of the normal
pressure which is specified on the air pump name plate.

Attention
Attention
FIRE ACCIDENT PREVENTION
Check whether any dirt and/or dust has built up on the power plug at least once a year and insert to the base
and
fit firmly. Dirt/dust accumulation and/or afaulty connection maycauseelectric shock and/or a fire accident.
Warning
(4) Power Plug
MAKE SURE TO INSPECT THE FUNCTION EVERY TIME THE DIAGRAGM/VALVEASSEMBLY IS REPLACED
Remove the auto-stop piece and put in the plug to ensure the auto-stop function works properly
.After checking, disconnect the
plug from thepower point and set the auto-stop piece in the right position. (See below)
Warning
Make sure to turn off the power when replacing the diaphragm/valve assembly and/or handling
the auto-stop piece. Neglecting this note may cause an electric shock.

5
Diaphragm Replacement Procedure
Make sure to turn off the power when replacing the
diaphragm/valve assembly. Neglecting this note may
cause an electric shock.
Warning
Make sure to replace both side of diaphragm/casing
assembly at the same time. Neglecting this note may
cause early breakage of the diaphragm.
Attention
* Replace diaphragm/valve assembly every year.
* Make sure to carry out test operation and ensure that the air
pump works properly after replacing.
8. Fit a power cable in 3 hooks. 9. Set an auto-stop piece as
instructed above.
7. Insert a casing air outlet into a
rubber grommet and fix a
casing assembly with 4 screws.
1. Remove cover bolts using a
8mm-box wrench.
4. Remove 4 screws from a
casing using a cross slot
screwdriver.
5. Remove nut and take a
diaphragm off from a body.
2. Remove an auto-stop piece as
instructed above. 3. Remove a power cable from 3
hooks.
Attention Do not remove screws!!
6. Place a new diaphragm using
new nut provided.
*Tightening torque – about 1 Nm
10. Fix cover bolts using a
8mm-box wrench.
