Why my camera is not working upon receiving?
It may cause out of power for your camera, so please charge your camera up to 15 hours for
first .make sure you had power off device during charging. And see if led indicator is blinking red
faster, if there is no light on, please exchange another standard micro USB cable and any type of
5V 2A USB power charger to give a new try. If you are still fail to power on or the device still do
not work, please contact us via Amazon seller and buyer message for creating a replacement.
Why my camera can not work with my network wifi?
1. You may use 5g network instead of 2.4g wireless network, please login your wifi router and
enter into wireless setting,disable your 5g network, and enable 2.4g wireless network, or
write down your 2.4g wireless wifi SSID and password.
2. Your may use guest wifi network instead of host wifi network, so please login your wifi router
to write down your host wifi network SSID and password.
3. Your wifi SSID and password are containing any special characters like !@#$^%$_ etc.so
please login your wifi router to change your SSID and password into other chararcters.and
reboot your router.
4. Your camera and wifi router are far away from each other. So please move the camera closer
to your wifi router, we suggest you to have the camera at the same room as wifi router. If it is
far away, we would like to recommend you to use a wifi repeater to strength the wifi signal.
5. Please enable “location” permission for our app called YI EYE before setup
6. Please make sure you are using WPA/WPA2-PSK encryption wifi network, do not work with
network without password and other public wifi network like hotels, KFC, Starbucks etc.
What kind of wifi network this camera can work with?
This camera can only work with 2.4g wireless network instead of 5g network.
Why I can not connect my camera with smartphone directly?
This camera do not support direct connect with any smartphone, so you need to have your
smartphone connect with your wifi network, and then open app, choosing add the device, and
follow in-app instruction to finish the configuration.that is mean it will not work without
connecting with wifi router.
What is included in the package for this camera?
It included a non-functional smoke detector with camera, USB charging cable, Detailed user
manual, Screws, USB power charger is sold separately!

Why the battery life of camera is using so short per single battery fully charged?
This camera is built-in 6000mah rechargeable li-ion battery, please firstly charge the battery up to
15 hours. And it can work 5-6 hours continuously for battery fully charged. Also it can last up 180
days in PIR standby mode. So the less the motion trigger, and the longer the battery last, the less
live view via phone, the longer the battery last, the stronger the wifi signal, the longer the battery
last, overall, Battery life will vary based on device settings, usage, and environmental factors.
Actual results may vary.
Why I can not record the video to my SD card?
Please using any branding name micro SD card with class 10 standard. Please format SD card into
FAT32 instead of NTFS. As some of card is using ntfs format, then you need to download a format
tools from google and format it into FAT on your computer firstly, next insert micro SD card to
your device, and further more, please power off the camera before inserting micro SD card to
device. If not, it may cause damage of SD card slot or even have camera defective.
How to setup this camera to my wifi network?
1. Download and install latest app YI EYE from google play and apple store
2. Connect your smartphone with your 2.4 wireless network
3. Power on your camera, and check if camera is blinking red slowly, if not, please reset device
4. Startup app and select Add the device.
5. Follow in-app instruction to finish the setup.
How do I install the camera correctly?
This camera is designed with 120 degree field of view angle,it was mounted in the ceiling with
max height 8-10 feet. So it will directly pointed down. you can see max 10 feet in diameter. it was
not 360 degree view angle, so if you want to see wide angle, we would like to suggest you mount
it side way instead of bottom way.
How many user can watch live view at the same time?
it support up to 2 users to watch live view at the same time. We always suggest to have 1 user to
see live for better performance.
What is the led indicator status when camera is disconnecting or connecting?
The led indicator will flash green when wifi signal is lost, and the led light is blinking red slowly
before setup the camera with your wifi router.
Do the device emit a high pitch buzzing sound?
Yes. It will emit a high pitch buzzing sound in order to send the wave to camera for wifi
connecting with router.
What is the camera lens type? And is it easy to spot camera?
This device come with 2.8mm pinhole camera lens, so it is hard to spot camera with camera
mount in the ceiling, but you can find camera if you take the camera closer to your eyes. As there
is a pinhole from non-function smoke detector.

Why my camera is offline?
1. Please check if your camera is ran out of battery power?
2. Please move camera closer to your wifi router to give a try, it may cause by weak wifi signal.
3. Please check if you share your camera to others and they are more than 2 users watch live at
the same time.
4. Please check your 4G data network and see if it is stronger 4g signal?
What can I do when we need more assistance for my camera?

What is the IR leds looks like? visible or invisible?
This camera use 940nm night vision leds, it will be visible if you taking the camera closer to your
eyes, it will not visible when mount it in the ceiling with 8-10 feet height.
