consult your doctor immediately.
2.3. SAFETY IN THE WORK AREA
Do not operate this device in potentially
explosive atmospheres or the presence of
flammable liquids, gases, and dust.
Never start the device in closed rooms like
living rooms or garages. This device emits
dangerous gases through the exhaust
pipe, which accumulate in the area,
making the air toxic and harmful to the health of
people, animals, and plants. Do not start the device
in a living room or enclosure. The exhaust gases and
fuel vapours contain carbon monoxide and harmful
chemicals. In the event of a concentration of gases
that accumulate due to poor ventilation, remove
anything that impedes the flow of clean air from the
work area to improve ventilation and do not return to
the work area unless you have adequately ventilated
the area and are certain that the ventilation is
sufficient to prevent this concentration of airborne
pollutants from returning.
The area within a radius of 15 meters around the device is
to be regarded as a danger area, into which nobody may
enter while the device is running (safety area). If
necessary, use ropes and warning signs to mark the
safety area.
Keep children and curious persons away from the working
area while operating this device. Distractions can lead
to a loss of control. Ensure that children, persons, or
animals do not enter your working area.
If the work has to be carried out by two or more
persons simultaneously, always check other
persons' presence and location to maintain a
sufficient distance between each person to ensure
safety.
Do not use this device at night, in fog or poor
visibility. Otherwise, the working area will not be
visible.

Original User Manual FX-AF1139_rev03

Keep the working area clean and work with good
lighting. Only use this device in daylight or with
adequate artificial lighting. Unclear and dark areas
cause accidents. Check and remove all objects that
could cause damage to you or the device.
Do not use this device in areas where there are cables
or underground pipes.
Check your working area and remove all stones, wood,
wire, and foreign objects that can be caught by the
cutting tool and thrown through the air.
2.4.
SAFE HANDLING OF FUELS
IMPORTANT: The fuel used for this device is highly
flammable. If the fuel or device ignites, extinguish the
fire with a powder fire extinguisher.
Gasoline and oil are hazardous; avoid gasoline or oil
with skin and eyes. Do not inhale or swallow. See your

come into contact with fuel or oil, clean the contact
point with soap and water as soon as possible. If you
still have irritated skin or eyes, consult a doctor
immediately.
Do not refuel the fuel in closed or poorly
ventilated places. Vapours from the fuel and
oil contain dangerous chemicals. In the case
of concentration of gases caused by
insufficient ventilation, remove anything that impedes
clean airflow from the area to improve ventilation. Do
not return to the area unless you have adequately
ventilated the area and are certain that the ventilation is
adequate to prevent this concentration of pollutants
from reoccurring.
Gasoline and oil are highly flammable and explosive
under certain conditions. Do not smoke and keep
flames, sparks, or heat sources away from the device.
Do not smoke when transporting fuel, refuelling,
or during work.
Do not refuel the fuel in places where there
are naked flames, sparks, or heat sources. Always fill
the tank in well-ventilated areas and with the engine
switched off. When attempting to overfill the fuel tank,
fuel cannot overflow. If fuel leaks, clean these leaks
entirely before starting, move the device away from the
spillage area, and avoid any source of ignition until all
vapours have disappeared. Top up the fuel before
starting the device.
Never remove the fuel tank cap while the engine
is running or when the device is hot.
Do not refuel in enclosed spaces, in poorly
ventilated areas, or near flames.
Ensure that the fuel cap is tight and correctly closed
when using the device.
Ensure that you close the lid of the fuel firmly and
adequately after refilling.
Always store fuel in approved containers that comply
with European regulations.
Do not use fuel that has been stored for more than 2
months. Keeping fuel for too long will make starting
the device more difficult, and the engine performance
will be unsatisfactory. If the fuel has been in the
device's tank for more than 2 months, remove it from
the device and replace it with fuel in good condition.

buried in the ground, such as large stones, roots, or
trunks, if the ground is too hard or if the ground is
frozen. Always hold the device with both hands.
This device clutch is deactivated by default
(disengaged). To activate the clutch and transfer the
engine power to cutters, the clutch lever must be
tightened.
The clutch lever has a safety block to prevent the accidental
coupling of the device.
To act on the clutch, you must first remove the safety
blockage by pushing the blocking device (W1)
downwards with one finger and, without releasing,
pressing the clutch lever (W2).
7.2. WORKING WITH THE MILLING DEVICE
Start the device according to the instructions in the user
manual.
Cutter in motion pull the device forward; you must
maintain the appropriate speed more or less by nailing
the spur into the ground.
Move the cutter slowly in the right rhythm so that the
blades have time to chop the soil.
If the tiller sinks and does not move, move the
handlebars left and right until released.
When working on a slope, always stand a little higher
on the hill so that the device is always below you.
7.2.1. SUGGESTED USE
A tillage depth between 15-20 cm is usually sufficient,
and it is rarely advantageous to work deeper. Shallower
tillage is often recommended for areas with little
precipitation to retain moisture.
Secondary tillage is less shallow than the first, so 2
crossed passes on the ground are sufficient.
8. MAINTENANCE
Perform regular inspections of the device to ensure
efficient operation of the device. We recommend that
you take the device to your service technician for
complete maintenance.
Before performing maintenance or repair work on the
device, ensure that the engine is switched off and
remove the spark plug.
Only perform device maintenance when the device is
on a level, cleared surface.
ATTENTION! Do not change the device or the
milling cutters. Improper use of these elements can lead
to HEAVY PERSONAL DAMAGE OR DEATH.
Use only suitable replacement parts for this device to
ensure the device's proper function. This replacement
can be found at the official dealers of the device. Other
spare parts can lead to risks, damage to the user,
persons, and the device.
Do not change anything at the carburettor. Bring your
device for maintenance if necessary. The carburettor's
adjustment is complicated and should only be done by
the technical service. Incorrect adjustment of the
carburettor can cause damage the engine and
invalidate the warranty.
Removal of safety devices, improper maintenance, or
replacement with non-original spare parts can cause injury.
8.1.
MAINTENANCE AND CARE AFTER USE
Carry out the following maintenance and care measures
when you are finished with the device to ensure this
device's smooth operation in the future.
8.1.1. GENERAL CHECKPOINTS
Make sure that the milling tools are firmly connected to
the gear unit. If necessary, tighten the milling tools.
Check the edge of the cutting edges and the milling
tools' condition. Replace the milling cutters if necessary.
It is recommended that an authorized service technician
carry out this work.
8.1.2. CLEANING

device.
Clean the milling area:
-
Switch off the engine and let it cool down.
-
Remove dirt and brush off residues with a scraper
and brush.
-
After you have removed the residues, you can use a
water jet for a more thorough cleaning.
-
Direct the water jet onto the milling tools. Never
point the jet at the gear or engine. If water gets into
the ignition system or the carburettor, damage and
defects will occur.
-
If you have used water for cleaning, the engine will
get wet unintentionally. Start the engine and let it run
for a few minutes until the engine's heat evaporates
the remaining water in the engine's area.
Other areas:
Clean the rest of the device with a cloth moistened with
water. Never use gasoline, solvents, detergents, water,
or other liquids.
8.1.3. CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL
-
Place the device on a horizontal, clear, level surface.
-
Unscrew the cover of the oil filler neck.
-
Clean the oil dipstick with a cloth.
-
Insert the dipstick and unscrew the oil filler cap.
-
Unscrew the plug and check the mark left by the oil on
the dipstick. The mark left by the oil must be between
the minimum and maximum mark.
-
If the mark is below the minimum, add a little more oil
and check again.
-
If the mark is above the maximum, you must remove
the engine housing oil. To do this, tilt the device and
drain some oil (place a container at the end of the pipe
so that no oil from the device reaches the floor).
8.2. REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Perform regular inspections of the device to ensure the
device's effective operation and avoid the risk of
damage to the device and injury to the user. Spare
parts should be purchased from the official service
dealer.
Other spare parts can lead to the risk of accidents,
injury to the user, and damage to the device.

8.2.1. AIR FILTER
The dirt in the air filter will reduce the performance of
the device. Check and clean this element.
Note: The engine should never be operated without
the installed air filter.
8.2.2. CHANGING THE engine OIL
Carry out the oil change only when the engine is still
hot.
ATTENTION! Do not pour used oil into a
pipe system or onto the ground. The
contamination of groundwater and
groundwater level is subject to high fines.
There are unique collection points at filling stations. If
not, your local authority will provide you with relevant
information.
Note: There are two methods available for draining the
engine oil. You can drain the oil by unscrewing the drain
plug (Y2) at the bottom of the filling nozzle or by using a
FUXTEC suction pump (not included) and sucking the
oil through the filling nozzle (Y1) of the device. We
recommend collecting the oil for easy implementation,
cleaning, and safety.
To change the oil:
-
Place the device on a horizontal, level, and
transparent surface.
Drain the engine oil:
-
When sucking out the used oil: Remove the engine
oil plugs (Y1) and suck out the engine oil by
inserting the engine oil cleaner downwards.
-
If you choose to drain the oil by draining (Y2)
through the drain plug, please note the flow path that
the oil takes into a large container to collect all the
oil before it reaches the floor.
-
We recommend that you place a large plastic cover
on the area where you change the oil so that no oil
gets to the floor. Once the work area is prepared,
remove the filler cap (Y1), remove the oil drain plug
(Y2), and tilt the device slightly so that the oil comes
out and drains into the container.
-
After all, oil has been drained, turn the drain plug
back into the device.
8.2.3. CHECKING THE SPARK PLUG
When starting up a device, the most common problems
are caused by a dirty or poorly functioning spark plug.
Clean and check the spark plug regularly.
Check whether the electrode gap is correct (0.6 - 0.7
mm).
8.2.4. CLEANING THE CYLINDER FINS
The cylinder fins are responsible for cooling the engine due
to air contact. These fins must be clean and without any
material, including those that restrict the airflow.
