2 General safety instructions
The operating instructions must be read in their entirety before using the unit for the first time. If there is
any doubt about the connection and operation of the unit, contact the manufacturer (service department).
THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
CAREFULLY:
ATTENTION!
The user is responsible towards third parties for the use of the pump (water system, etc.).
Before commissioning, a competent electrician must check that the required electrical safety measures
are in place.
The electrical connection must be made via a socket.
Check voltage. The technical data indicated on the plate must correspond to the voltage of the mains
supply.
The temperature of the liquid to be pumped must not exceed +35 °C. If extension cables are used,
they must be made exclusively of rubber, type H07RNF, in accordance with the DIN 57282 or DIN
57245 standards. Never touch, lift or move the electrically connected pump by the cable. Ensure that
the connection socket is away from water and moisture and that the plug is protected from moisture.
Before putting the appliance into operation, check that the electric cable and/or the socket are not
damaged.
Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any work on the unit or pump.
2.1 In case of emergency
Initiate the first aid measures necessary for the injury and request qualified medical assistance as soon as
possible. Safeguard the injured person from further injury and keep them calm.

2.3 Intended use
The pressure switch is used for converting garden pumps into automatic domestic water dispensers for
private, domestic use
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by non-compliance with the provisions of
the generally applicable regulations and the provisions of this manual.
2.4 Residual hazards and protective measures
2.4.1 Residual mechanical hazards
Hazard
Spraying out liquids Improper assembly can lea
d to
leakage and thus damage to
other means.
Always ensure proper
assembly.
Defect on attachment parts.
Always protect yourself against
possible damage caused by
escaping medium.
2.4.2 Residual electrical hazards
Hazard Resid
Direct electrical contact A defective cable or plug can
lead to electric shock.
Always have defective cables
or plugs replaced by a
specialist. Only use the
machine at a connection with a
residual-current device (RCD).
Indirect electrical contact If a defective live part comes
into contact with the medium to
be transported, the medium
may cause an electric shock
due to its conductivity.
Always have defective cables
or plugs replaced by a
specialist. In case of unit
defects, also stay away from
the medium and immediately
disconnect the power supply to
the unit. Only use the machine
at a connection with a residual-
current device (RCD).
2.4.3 Disposal
The disposal instructions can be found in the pictograms on the machine or packaging. A description of the
individual meanings can be found in the chapter "Labelling".
The packaging protects the machine from transport damage. The packaging materials are usually selected
according to environmentally-friendly and waste disposal criteria and can thus be recycled.
Returning the packaging to the material cycle saves raw materials and reduces the amount of waste.
Packaging parts (e.g. foils, Styrofoam®) can be dangerous for children.
Keep packaging parts out of the reach of children and dispose of them as quickly as possible.
2.5 Requirements for the operator
The operator must have read the operating instructions carefully before using the appliance.
2.5.1 Qualification
Apart from a detailed instruction by a competent person, no special qualification for using the machine is
required.

7
2.5.2 Minimum age
The machine may only be operated by persons who are 16 years of age or older.
Use as a youth is an exception if the use is in the course of vocational training to achieve the skill under the
supervision of a trainer.
2.5.3 Training
The only requirement for using the machine is appropriate instruction by a qualified person or the operating
instructions. Special training is not necessary.

Before operating the pressure
switch, you must connect
the suction side of the pump (1) and the pressure side
of the pressure switch (2).
Connect the pump in use to the socket on the pressure
switch.
If you now want to put the unit into operation, make
sure that the suction side is properly in the liquid to be
pumped and that the pump is appropriately vented
(please refer to the instructions for your pump).
A consumer can now be connected to the pressure
side.
When everything is assembled, connect the pressure
switch to the mains.
5.1 Safety instructions for initial commissioning
If the pump used is for ponds, wells, etc., as well as in the corresponding water installations, it is essential
to observe the standards applicable in the respective countries where the pump is used.
The electric pumps which are used outdoors (e.g. ponds etc.) must be equipped with an electric cable
made of rubber type H07RNF, according to the standards DIN 57282 or DIN 57245.
If the unit is defective, repair must be carried out exclusively by an authorised service centre. Only
original spare parts may be used.
5.2 Procedure
Mount the pressure switch on the pump.
Connect the suction and discharge sides of the pump (follow the instructions in the pump manual).

Bleed the pump (see pump instructions).
Connect the electrical connection of the pump to the pressure switch.
Connect the pressure switch to the mains.

Operating states
The pump is in normal operation
The pressure switch is connected to the mains.
As soon as the consumer is closed, the pressure switch switches off the
pump briefly with a time delay and the LED goes out.
The unit has detected a dry run and now tries up to 3 times to return to
normal.
The unit has not reached a normal state after 3 attempts and is in fault
mode.
To exit this mode, you must find and eliminate the source of the
error (this can be, for example, a defective hose, empty medium
tank or a leaking suction line, etc.). Now a new start attempt can
be made by pressing button 4 (Fig. 6).
Fig. 7

10
Dry-running protection
Stopping at dry running is signalled by LED 3 switching on when the motor is switched off. The unit will
attempt to return to normal operation up to 3 times. If this is not possible, the unit will finally switch to fault
mode. To reset the system, simply press button 4 after ensuring that there is water in the intake.
6.1 Safety instructions for operation
Do not use the machine until you have carefully read the operating instructions.
Observe all safety instructions contained in these operating instructions.
Act responsibly towards other people.
Inappropriate repairs carried out by unauthorised service centres;
Misuse or non-compliance with the intended use;
Overloading of the pump through continuous operation;
Frost damage and other damage caused by weather;
6.2 Step-by-step guide
After you have put the unit into operation, no further steps are necessary. Only pay attention to possible
malfunctions and remedy them as described in this manual as an example.
