KVM Switch
Introduction
The
KYM 2/4-Port Switch allows you
to
access
multiple computers by
sharing one keyboard, video and mouse.
There
is
no
interface card
or
software
to
configure. Installation
is
as
easy
as
connecting cables between
the KYM 2/4-Port Switch
and

computers. Switch between

Keyboard Commands
To
send commands
to
the
KVM
Switch, press the Scroll Lock key twice
within
two
seconds.
You
will hear a beep confirming
your
command.
The
following are various valid commands:

or
the
Space

to
exit the

Mode.
Troubleshooting
Make sure that
all
the
cables
are labeled.
Label
each
and
every cable with
the number for
each
respective computer
to
avoid confusion.
• The
KVM
Switch draws the
power
from
the keyboard
port
of
the
computer. Ifthe computer
is
a laptop, notebook,
or
any
other
type
of
computer that cannot supply enough
power
to
the
KVM
Switch,
please
add a
DC
5V-9V,
500mA-IA
power
jack. The
power
jack polarity
is
positive.
•
Do
not
press any
keys
on the keyboard while the selected computer
is
booting up. This might
cause
a keyboard error,
where
the
PC
cannot
detectthe keyboard.

Ifthe computer boots-up
successfully,
but the keyboard does
not
work,
then
• Make sure the keyboard works when it
is
directly plugged into the
computer.
•
Try
another keyboard,
use
101, 102,
or
I04-key keyboards only.
, Ifthe
PC
does
not
detect the Mouse while it
is
booting up,
-Make sure the mouse works when it
is
directly plugged into the
computer.
-Make sure it
is
a
PS/2
mouse. A
combo
mouse will
work
as
long
as
it
is
set
for
the
PS/2
mode
with the correct adaptor.
•
Try
a different mouse.
, Avoid moving the mouse
or
pressing the buttons on the mouse when
switching ports.
