Do not open cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
Do not place the product in a location near a heat source such as a radiator, or in an area subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust,
mechanical vibration or shock.
The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the
product.
No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the product.
Allow adequate air circulation and avoid obstructing vents (if present) to prevent internal heat build-up. The ventillation must not be
impeded by covering the appliance with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains etc.
The mains plug is used to disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. Ensure that the mains outlet is easily-accessible and
remove the plug from the mains outlet if you notice any abnormality with the appliance.

1. GAIN
Sets the input gain, switching to the o position mutes the input.
2. MIC / LINE / DI LEDS
Indicate which input is in use.

Activates 48v phantom power.
4. IMPEDANCE
Sets the Mic input impedance between 300 and 1200 ohms.
5. MIC / LINE
Selects whether to use Microphone or Line input.
6. POLARITY / AIR
Three-way switch which allows you to enable Air mode for enhanced high end or invert the
phase of the incoming signal.
7. PAD
Attenuates the mic and line inputs by 0dB, 5dB or 10dB.
8. DI MODE
Selects whether the DI acts as active, passive or is disabled.
9. OUTPUT
Sets the output level.
10. DI INPUT
¼-inch Jack input connector for instrument level signals.

The G4M 500 Series Vintage Preamp is a single slot 500 series format single channel mic, line
and instrument preamplifier. The transformer balanced, fully discrete signal path provides a
classic warm and punchy sound with modern enhancements that make it suitable in a wide
range of recording applications. The extensive gain enables the preamp to handle passive
ribbon microphones with ease or push hotter incoming signals for character enhancement.

1. SIGNAL METER
The three LEDs indicate the level of the incoming signal.
BELOW – Signal is below the threshold level,
ABOVE – Signal is above the threshold level,
CLIP – Signal is clipping and gain must be reduced.
2. THRESHOLD
Sets the level at which the compressor will start working from -35dB to +15dB.
3. RATIO
Sets the ratio of compression applied above the threshold.
4. GAIN
Sets the amount of gain applied to the signal.
5. SLOW/FAST
Adjusts the attack and release times of the compression.
6. POLARITY
Inverts the polarity to avoid phase issues when recording in stereo
0 – Polarity is normal,
180 – Polarity is inverted.
7. HIGH PASS
Applies a gentle high-pass filter to the signal at 100Hz to avoid low end rumble.
8. +48
Activates 48v phantom power.
9. COMP
Bypass switch for A/B referencing.

2. HF FREQUENCY
Select the high frequency you wish to adjust from 8KHz to 20KHz.
Select OFF to disable the high frequency EQ.
3. HP FREQUENCY
Applies a high pass filter to the signal between 50Hz and 300Hz.
Select OFF to disable the high pass.
4. MF GAIN
Adjust the mid frequency gain from -15dB to +15dB.
5. MF FREQUENCY
Select the mid frequency you wish to adjust from 240Hz to 10KHz.
Select OFF to disable the mid frequency EQ.
6. LF FREQUENCY
Select the low frequency you wish to adjust from 33Hz to 300Hz.
Select OFF to disable the high pass.
7. LF GAIN
Adjust the low frequency gain from -15dB to +15dB.
8. ON/OFF
Bypass switch for A/B referencing.

Remove two panels for a double width module.
