Introduction
Many computer games generate feedback effects which are transferred to the
player in the form of vibration on the joystick, a game wheel or the gamepad.
These effects allow to transfer movement of the car along not the flat road, vi-
bration of the motor of the airplane, receiving damages and feeling of overloads
to the game device. On the one hand - it promotes immersion in a game, with
another –management becomes more complex (the wheel escapes from
hands, at the joystick and the gamepad the sight gets off). Therefore, players
often disconnect the disturbing effects.
Special devices which don't prevent management have been developed for
transfer of feelings of the atmosphere of a game and allow the player to plunge
into the game world.
Game vibrocape –the unique game device allowing to move to a new level of
immersion in computer games. Now you will feel all explosions, shots, blows
and collisions all body as if you are in the center of events.
The Gametrix company has developed the unique device –a game JetSeat vi-
brocape. The cape doesn't prevent exact management since vibroeffects are
transferred directly to a chair of the player.
One more device which deserves attention - ButtKicker. The device will allow
you to feel physically all that occurs in your games and simulators.
Feel knock of machine-gun fire, rotation of blades of the helicopter, explosions,
vibration of racing motors, the gear shift moment, braking of the landed air-
plane, departure on a roadside, promotion of the chassis and forcing of the en-
gine.
It is a new step in approach of computer games to reality!
This manual is documentation of the user the data necessary for mastering and
understanding of operation of the program are provided In a manual. Descrip-
tion of the user interface and editor of effects.

SimShaker - Wings User Guide
SimShaker - Wings
(or
SSWngs
for short) is a mediation software connecting a
supported flight simulator game and Gametrix JetSeat or bass-shaker hardware
to provide immersing event driven vibration FXs (special effects). Currently Fal-
con BMS is supported. Support for some other flight simulators will be added
soon.
Operating System Windows 7 or higher;
USB port or/and a dedicated sound card*;
Net Framework 4.5 or higher installed** (natively installed in Windows
10);
Gametrix JetSeat Control Panel software installed** if you want to use
SimShaker with a Gametrix JetSeat.
* - sound card is required if you want to use SimShaker with a bass-shaker(s);
** - visit our Downloads page.
To install the software please download a beta
SSWngs
setup file (link) and
open it.
You can run
SSWngs
up to 6 times by 20 minutes without activation. After 20
minutes
SSWngs
will stop and you will need to restart it. Hence you will be able
to test the application with your favorite game titles prior to purchase.
To use
SimShaker - Wings
software you should buy a licence in Andre's e-
Shop and activate the software. Shortly after the purchase I will provide you by
e-mail with a Login-Key pair.
If
SimShaker - Wings
main window is not started, you will want to open it by
clicking
Manual Start
button at
SimShaker-Wings Launcher
window. In order to
activate the software, press
Activate Software
button at
SimShaker -
Wings
window, fill in
Login
and
Key
fields, agree with End User Licence Agree-
ment and press
Activate
button. Please check to be sure that after activation
the button has become inactive and contains the text "Software is Activated".
You are granted 5 activations. Each activation is tied to a particular personal
computer (PC) and is valid for both beta and released version of the software.

If you completely reinstall your operating system, you will need to activate the
software again. If you have used up all activation granted, please contact me
via Help Desk (or any other appropriate way) to replenish it.
In case of fraudulent use of the software, I may refuse your request and (or)
invalidate activations granted.
You can uninstall the software via Windows Control Panel - Programs and Fea-
tures tool, using its Uninstall option.
If you want to completely remove SimShaker - Wings from your PC for good,
please, do also following actions (warning - your current activation will be
lost):
1) Remove %LOCALAPPDATA%\SimShaker-Wings folder, containing settings,
manually, as show at the picture below.
2) If you had activated "Start Launcher with Windows" option, you may need to
delete SimShaker - Wings shortcut in %USERPROFILE%\Start
Menu\Programs\StartUp folder manually.

This example is for Windows 10.
The software is designed to update automatically. New version check performs
at every SimShaker-Wings Launcher start. If new version is found, at the next
start you will be prompted to install the update.
You can roll back the last update via Windows Control Panel - Programs and
Features tool, using its Change option. Some updates are required and may not
be rolled back or skipped.

Note: During installation process some antiviral software (Symantec Endpoint
Protection, Dr.Web, etc.) may block files download. In such case we would rec-
ommend temporarily switch off protection.
For some games a network UDP protocol is used to obtain game physics data.
You should allow to add a firewall rule for SimShaker to receive network con-
nections inside your PC. If the firewall is enabled, a prompt window should pop
up when the game is started for the first time or after SimShaker was updated.
SimShaker-Wings app is designed to look first for customized FX file in User
Documents\SimShaker-Wings FXs\JetSeat\Customized folder. If the file not
found, it will be loaded from User Documents\SimShaker-Wings
FXs\JetSeat\Base folder. You should put in the 'Customized' folder only files you
want to be different from the initial "Base" set.
To modify JetSeat FX files with .uwv extension you can use specially designed
UWVeditor app. To start it press the a button at SimShaker-Wings Launcher.

- Shrink Time Scale.
To know corresponding uwv. file(s) for a particular effect place mouse pointer
on its check box at SimShaker base module GUI and read a tooltip shown.
Note: for inactive (gray) check boxes tooltips are unavailable, please feel free to
ask me about corresponding .uwv files.
2. After reloading SimShaker will use your updated .uwv files to create vi-
brations. Files in your folder will not be auto updated.
Bass-shakers support may be purchased as an option. The main idea here is
that player can use both JetSeat and bass-shaker(s) in conjunction, getting
more distinctive FXs, since JetSeat and bass-shakers have different vibration
patterns. To achieve best sensation results I would recommend to "route" (by

Gain sliders) some FXs to the JetSeat, some FXs to the bass-shaker(s), and
some to the both devices.
Of course, good results may be achieved with the only JetSeat or the bass-
shaker(s) as well.
Most of controls seems to be self-explaining (at least for me), so I'd like to
comment one of them.
Max. Channels number defines how much audio channels to conduct.
1 (mono) - very simple, is suitable if you operate just 1 bass-shaker.
2 (stereo) - default value, is suitable if you operate 2 bass-shakers. I assume
that bass-shakers are placed left and right from the player. Out of the box
SimShaker is configured for such placement. But that may customized by the
player.
6 (or 5.1) - suitable if you operate from 3 to 6 bass-shakers. I assume that it
mostly will be 4, placed on the corners of the player's rig. Out of the box
SimShaker is configured for such placement, audio channels 1, 2, 5, 6 are in
use. But that may be customized by the player as well. This (up to 6 channels
support) option requires ASIO drivers for a sound card to be used (for instance,
universal ASIO4All driver).
Default set of sound samples is optimized for Buttkicker GR2 model, but it may
be customized for other bass-shakers types and models by users and shared
with other community members by any appropriate means. Please see my two-
step "how to" instructions on the pictures below.

Note: SSWngs will load your customized files after restart. If no customized file
found in the expected location, default file from sub-folders Base\1, or Base\2,
or Base\6 will be used.
Step 2. Customizing sound samples in free Audacity editor.
You can customize channels output position as well as some other sound wave
attributes. Channels numbers correspond sound card outputs as listed below:
1 - front left;
2 - front right;
3 - center *;
4 - sub-woofer *;
5 - rear left;
6 - rear right.
* - not used in default sound samples.
To play with channels number and order I would recommend you to enable in
the Audacity editor
Use custom mix
option as shown below.

Using SSWngs with audio bass-shakers
Please keep your customized files all in 32 bit float, 48 kHz sample rate format.
If you asked me which sound card to use, I would recommend
Asus Xonar
DGX
sound card, since I use this affordable sound card at my end and we could
better understand each other in case of any issue occurs. In this case please
check to be sure that Hi-Fi mode is enabled.

I believe that very good results may be achieved with other types of sound
cards, even with USB or HDMI ones, but in that case you should rely on your-
self a bit more.

If you'd like to make Gametrix vibe cushion work with MSFS X or plane old IL-2
Sturmovik (versions produced by Oleg Meddox, not by Albert Zhiltsov) try to do
as follows.
1. Download ForceFeedback driver from Gametrix web-site. Unzip and install
it.
2. Open JetSeat Contol Panel application, press and hold Left Ctrl plus Left
Shift keys and click Gametrix logo as shown below.

Alternative mode

4. Check to be sure in your sim setting that FFB effects are switched on.
5. Go flight.
Note 1: there are at least two different versions of FFB implementations. Ga-
metrix ForceFeedback driver supports only one of them.
Note 2: you can use this utility to check if your vibe cushion works as FFB de-
vice.

This trick is for SimShaker Sound Module users only. If you'd like to mix at your
transducer(s) SimShaker played low frequency sound samples and DCS World
gameplay generated sounds in order to get even more rich experience, you can
try this way. Thanks Olaf (f4l0) for sharing that.

tip #1
If your Gametrix JetSeat (or Air) device suddenly looks dead, you should try to
reload its firmware by yourselves, following this simple procedure. It takes
about 5 minutes or less.
1. Download Firmware Loader from Gametrix web-site, unzip it somewhere;
2. download Firmware file from Gametrix web-site, unrar it to the same
folder;
3. unplug the device USB;
4. switch off the device power;
5. plug in the device USB;
6. press and hold buttons MODE and MOTORS;
7. switch on the device power (at the very first time Windows discovers a
new device);
8. release buttons;
9. wait until drivers for new device installed;
10.start FirmwareLoader.exe;
11.load firmware into device by pressing the button with a red arrow "Об-
новить";
12.unplug the device USB;
13.switch off the device power;
14.plug in the device USB;
15.switch on power and check if the device works.

During OnceClick application installation or update process antiviral software
(Symantec Endpoint Protection, Dr.Web, etc.) may block files download. They
shouldn't, but they do. In such case we recommend temporarily switch off pro-
tection.

You can use JetSeat in sound mode with any game. That's simple as 1-2-3.
1. Plug JetSeat's 3.5 mm male jack into soundcard output as if it was a
Butckicker;
2. plug headset into JetSeat's 3.5 mm female jack;
3. press and hold MODE button at JetSeat's control unit for 3 seconds. LED
color changes. That's it.
Adjust vibration level by rotating big black knob at control unit or via

Многие компьютерные игры генерируют эффекты обратной связи, которые
передаются игроку в виде вибрации на джойстике, игровом руле или гейм-
паде. Эти эффекты позволяют передать на игровое устройство движение
автомобиля по не ровной дороге, вибрацию мотора самолёта, получение
повреждений и ощущение перегрузок. С одной стороны - это способствует
погружению в игру, с другой – управление становится сложнее (руль вы-
рывается из рук, у джойстика и геймпада сбивается прицел). Поэтому иг-
роки часто отключают мешающие эффекты.
Для передачи ощущений атмосферы игры были разработаны специальные
устройства, которые не мешают управлению и позволяют игроку погру-
зиться в игровой мир.
Игровая вибронакидка – уникальное игровое устройство, позволяющее пе-
рейти на новый уровень погружения в компьютерные игры. Теперь все
взрывы, выстрелы, удары и столкновения вы будете чувствовать всем те-
лом так, как будто сами находитесь в центре событий.
Компания Gametrix разработала уникальное устройство – игровую виброн-
акидку JetSeat. Накидка не мешает точному управлению, т.к. виброэффек-
ты передаются непосредственно на кресло играющего.
Ещё одно устройство, которое заслуживает внимания – ButtKicker. Устрой-
ство позволит вам физически ощутить все то, что происходит в ваших иг-
рах и симуляторах.
Ощутите надрывный стук пулеметного огня, вращение лопастей вертолета,

SSWngs
) получает данные из
игры (симулятора), обрабатывает их и передаёт сигналы к накидке в ре-
альном времени на соответствующую виброзону (к заданному мотору) или
низкочастотному преобразователю (шейкеру). Данное ПО позволяет ощу-
тить большее погружение в игру за счёт специальных виброэффектов. На
даный момент программа поддерживает авиасимулятор Falcon BMS. В бли-
жайшем будущем будет планируется подержка и других авиасимуляторов.
