Li-Ionen Akkus des POWER FOR ALL Systems
PBA 18V.
v Verwenden Sie den Akku nur in Produkten der
POWER FOR ALL System Hersteller. Nur so wird
der Akku vor gefährlicher Überlastung geschützt.
v Laden Sie die Akkus nur mit Ladegeräten auf,
die vom Hersteller empfohlen werden.
Durch ein Ladegerät, das für eine bestimmte Art
von Akkus geeignet ist, besteht Brandgefahr,
wenn es mit anderen Akkus verwendet wird.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung:
Der POWER FOR ALL System-Akku dient als Energiever-
sorgung für die entsprechenden POWER FOR ALL System
Akku-Geräte und ist zur Verwendung im privaten Haus- und
Hobbygarten bestimmt.
Das Produkt ist nicht für den Langzeitbetrieb geeignet.

1. SICHERHEIT

v Der Akku wird teilgeladen ausgeliefert.
Um die volle Leistung des Akkus zu gewährleisten,
laden Sie vor dem ersten Einsatz den Akku voll-
ständigim Ladegerät auf.
v Bewahren Sie Akkus außerhalb der Reichweite
von Kindern auf.
v Öffnen Sie den Akku nicht. Es besteht die Gefahr
eines Kurzschlusses.
v Bei Beschädigung und unsachgemäßem
Gebrauch des Akkus können Dämpfe austreten.
Der Akku kann brennen oder explodieren. Führen
Sie Frischluft zu und suchen Sie bei Beschwerden
einen Arzt auf. Die Dämpfe können die Atemwege
reizen.
v Bei falscher Anwendung oder beschädigtem
Akku kann brennbare Flüssigkeit aus dem Akku
austreten. Vermeiden Sie den Kontakt damit. Bei
zufälligem Kontakt mit Wasser abspülen. Wenn
die Flüssigkeit in die Augen kommt, nehmen Sie
zusätzliche ärztliche Hilfe in Anspruch.
Austretende Akkuflüssigkeit kann zu Hautreizungen
oder Verbrennungen führen.
v Bei defektem Akku kann Flüssigkeit austreten
und angrenzende Gegenstände benetzen. Über-
prüfen Sie betroffene Teile. Reinigen Sie diese
oder tauschen Sie sie gegebenenfalls aus.
v Schließen Sie den Akku nicht kurz. Halten
Sie den nicht benutzten Akku fern von Büro-
klammern, Münzen, Schlüsseln, Nägeln,
Schraubenoder anderen kleinen Metallgegen-
ständen, die eine Überbrückungder Kontakte
verursachen könnten.
Ein Kurzschluss zwischen den Akkukontakten kann
Verbrennungen oder Feuer zur Folge haben.

Der POWER FOR ALL System-Akku dient als Energiever-

v Durch spitze Gegenstände wie z.B. Nagel oder
Schraubenzieher oder durch äußere Kraftein-
wirkung kann der Akku beschädigt werden.
Es kann zu einem internen Kurzschluss kommen
und der Akku brennen, rauchen, explodieren oder
überhitzen.
v Warten Sie niemals beschädigte Akkus. Sämtli-
che Wartung von Akkus sollte nur durch den Herstel-
ler oder bevollmächtigte Kundendienststellen erfolgen.
v Schützen Sie den Akku vor Hitze, z.B.
auch vor dauernder Sonneneinstrahlung,
Feuer, Schmutz, Wasser und Feuchtig-
keit. Es besteht Explosions- und Kurzschluss-
gefahr.
v Betreiben und lagern Sie den Akku nur bei einer
Umgebungstemperatur zwischen –20 °C und
+50 °C.
Lassen Sie den Akku z.B. im Sommer nicht im Auto
liegen. Bei Temperaturen <0 °C kann es geräte-
spezifisch zu Leistungseinschränkung kommen.
v Laden Sie den Akku nur bei Umgebungs-
temperaturen zwischen 0 °C und +45 °C.
Laden außerhalb des Temperaturbereiches kann den
Akku beschädigen oder die Brandgefahr erhöhen.
GEFAHR! Herzstillstand! Dieses Produkt erzeugt beim
Betrieb ein elektromagnetisches Feld. Dieses Feld kann
sich unter bestimmten Bedingungen auf die Funktions-
weise aktiver oder passiver medizinischer Implantate aus-
wirken. Um die Gefahr von Situationen, die zu schweren
oder tödlichen Verletzungen führen können, auszuschlie-
ßen, sollten Personen mit einem medizinischen Implantat
vor dem Gebrauch dieses Produkts ihren Arzt und den
Hersteller des Implantats konsultieren.

v These safety warnings apply only for lithium-
ion batteries of the POWER FOR ALL system
PBA 18V.
v Only use the battery with products of the
POWER FOR ALL system manufacturers.
This is the only way in which you can protect the
battery against dangerous overload.
v Recharge only with the charger specified by the
manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type
of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used
with another battery pack.
v The battery is supplied partially charged.
To ensure full battery capacity, fully charge the
battery in the charger before using your power tool
for the first time.
v Keep battery packs out of the reach of children.
v Do not open the battery. There is a risk of short-
circuiting.
v In case of damage and improper use of the bat-
tery, vapours may be emitted. The battery can
set alight or explode.
Ensure the area is well ventilated and seek medical
attention should you experience any adverse effects.
The vapours may irritate the respiratory system.
v If used incorrectly or if the battery is damaged,
flammable liquid may be ejected from the bat-
tery. Contact with this liquid should be avoided.
If contact accidentally occurs, rinse off with
water. If the liquid comes into contact with your
eyes, seek additional medical attention. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.

v If the battery is damaged liquid can be ejected
and cover nearby surfaces. Check affected
parts. Clean these parts or change them if necessary.
v Do not short-circuit the battery pack. When the
battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins,
keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects,
that can make a connection from one terminal
to another. Shorting the battery terminals together
may cause burns or a fire.
v The battery can be damaged by pointed objects
such as nails or screwdrivers or by force
applied externally. An internal short circuit may
occur, causing the battery to burn, smoke, explode
or overheat.
v Never service damaged battery packs.
Service of battery packs should only be performed by
the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
v Protect the battery against heat,
e.g. against continuous intense sun-
light, fire, dirt, water and moisture.
There is a risk of explosion and short-
circuiting.
v Only operate and store the battery at an ambient
temperature between –20 °C and +50 °C.
Do not leave the battery in your car in the summer,
for example. At temperatures of <0 °C some devices
may experience a loss of power.
v Only charge the battery at an ambient tem-
perature which is between 0°C and +45 °C.
Charging outside of this temperature range can
increase the risk of damage to the battery and pose
a fire hazard.

DANGER! Cardiac arrest! This product makes an elec-
tromagnetic field while it operates. This field may under
some conditions interfere with active or passive medical
implants. To decrease the risk of conditions that can pos-
sibly injure or kill, we recommend persons with medical
implants to speak with their physician and the medical
implant manufacturer before you operate the product.
DANGER! Risk of suffocation!
Small parts can be easily swallowed. There is also a risk
that the polybag can suffocate toddlers. Keep toddlers
away when you assemble the product.

3. Store the battery in a dry, enclosed and frost-free place.
Disposal of the battery:
Li-ion
The GARDENA battery contains lithium-ion cells
that should not be disposed of with normal house-
hold waste at the end of its life.

recycling collection centre.

7. SERVICE/WARRANTY
In the event of a warranty claim, no charge is levied to you
for the services provided.
GARDENA Manufacturing GmbH grants a warranty for all
original GARDENA new products for two years from the date
of original purchase from the retailer, provided that the
devices have been for private use only. This manufacturer’s
warranty does not apply to products acquired second hand.
This warranty includes all significant defects of the product
that can be proved to be material or manufacturing faults.
The manufacturer’s warranty is governed by the law of the
Federal Republic of Germany.
In case of a warranty claim, please return the faulty product,
together with a copy of the receipt and a description of the
fault, with postage paid to the service address.

GARDENA Manufacturing GmbH grants a warranty for all
original GARDENA new products for two years from the date

warranty does not apply to products acquired second hand.

v Un liquide inflammable peut s’échapper de la
batterie si elle est mal utilisée ou endommagée.
Evitez tout contact avec ce liquide. En cas de
contact involontaire, rincez avec de l’eau. Si le
liquide entre en contact avec les yeux, adres-
sez-vous immédiatement à un médecin.
Le liquide s’échappant des batteries peut provoquer
des démangeaisons ou des brûlures.
v Si la batterie est défectueuse, du liquide peut
s’en échapper et mouiller les objets attenants.
Vérifiez les pièces concernées.
Nettoyez-les ou remplacez-les le cas échéant.
v Ne mettez pas la batterie en court-circuit.
Gardez la batterie non utilisée à distance des
trombones, pièces de monnaie, clés, clous,
visou autres petits objets métalliques pouvant
provoquer un pontage des contacts.
Un court-circuit entre les contacts de la batterie peut
avoir pour conséquence des brûlures ou un incendie.
v La batterie peut être endommagée par des
objets pointus, tels que des clous ou un tourne-
vis, ou l’action d’une force extérieure.
Cela peut provoquer un court-circuit interne et la
batterie peut brûler, fumer, exploser ou surchauffer.
v Ne procédez jamais à la maintenance de
batteries endommagées.
Toute la maintenance de batteries ne doit être
réalisée que par le fabricant oupar des services
après-vente autorisés.
v Protégez la batterie de la chaleur mais
aussi d’un rayonnement solaire pro-
longé, du feu, de la saleté, de l’eau et
del’humidité. Risque d’explosion et de
court-circuit.

Nettoyage de la batterie :

v Utilisez et stockez la batterie uniquement
àunetempérature ambiante comprise entre
–20°C et +50 °C.
En été, ne laissez pas la batterie p.ex. dans la voiture.
Pour les températures <0 °C, il peut y avoir une
restriction de puissance en fonction de l’appareil.
DANGER! Arrêt cardiaque! Ce produit génère un
champ électromagnétique en cours de fonctionnement.
Dans certaines conditions, ce champ peut avoir des effets
sur le fonctionnement d’implants médicaux actifs ou pas-
sifs. Pour exclure le danger de situations pouvant entraî-
ner des blessures graves ou mortelles, les personnes dis-
posant d’un implant médical doivent consulter leur méde-
cin et le fabricant de l’implant avant d’utiliser ce produit.
DANGER! Risque d’asphyxie!
Les petites pièces peuvent être avalées. Les petits enfants
peuvent s’étouffer avec le sac en plastique. Maintenez les
petits enfants à l’écart pendant le montage.

1. VEILIGHEID

Een acculader die voor een bepaald soort accu
geschikt is kan in brand vliegen, wanneer er andere
accu’s op worden aangesloten.
v De accu wordt gedeeltelijk opgeladen geleverd.
Om de volledige capaciteit van de accu te waarbor-
gen, dient u de accu vóór het eerste gebruik volledig
in de acculader op te laden.
v Berg accu’s buiten de reikwijdte van kinderen
op.
v Open de accu niet. Er bestaat een risico op
kortsluiting.
v Bij beschadiging en onvakkundig gebruik van
de accu kunnen dampen vrijkomen. De accu
kan in brand vliegen of exploderen.
Zorg voor frisse lucht en raadpleeg een arts bij klach-
ten. De dampen kunnen de luchtwegen prikkelen.
v Bij verkeerd gebruik of een beschadigde accu
kan brandbare vloeistof uit de accu lekken.
Voorkom contact hiermee. Bij toevallig contact
met water afspoelen. Wanneer de vloeistof in
de ogen komt, moet u bovendien een arts raad-
plegen. Weglekkende accuvloeistof kan leiden tot
huidirritaties of brandwonden.
v Wanneer de accu defect is kan vloeistof weg-
lekken en aangrenzende voorwerpen bevochti-
gen. Controleer desbetreffende onderdelen.
Reinig deze of vervang ze indien nodig.
v Sluit de accu niet kort. Houd de niet-gebruikte
accu uit de buurt van paperclips, munten,
sleutels, spijkers, schroeven of andere kleine
metalen voorwerpen die een overbrugging van
de contacten zouden kunnen veroorzaken.
Kortsluiting tussen de accucontacten kan brandwon-
den of brand tot gevolg hebben.

v Door spitse voorwerpen zoals bijv. spijkers of
een schroevendraaier of door externe krachtin-
werking kan de accu beschadigd raken.
Er kan kortsluiting ontstaan en de accu kan in brand
vliegen, gaan roken of exploderen of oververhit raken.
v Pleeg nooit onderhoud aan beschadigde accu’s.
Elk onderhoud van accu’s dient te worden uitgevoerd
door de fabrikant of een gevolmachtigde klantenser-
vicedienst.
v Bescherm de accu tegen hitte, bijv. ook
tegen langdurige zoninstraling, vuur,
vuil, water en vocht.
Er bestaat explosie- en kortsluitgevaar.
v Gebruik en bewaar de accu alleen bij een omge-
vingstemperatuur tussen –20 °C en +50 °C.
Laat de accu bijv. ’s zomers niet in de auto liggen.
Bij temperaturen <0 °C kan zich apparaatspecifiek
een beperking van de capaciteit voordoen.
v Laad de accu alleen op bij omgevingstempera-
turen tussen 0 °C en +45 °C.
Opladen buiten dit temperatuurbereik kan de accu
beschadigen of het brandgevaar verhogen.
GEVAAR! Hartstilstand! Dit product genereert tijdens de
werking een elektromagnetisch veld. Dit veld kan onder
bepaalde omstandigheden invloed hebben op de werkwijze
van actieve of passieve medische implantaten. Om het
gevaar van situaties die kunnen leiden tot ernstige of
dodelijke verwondingen uit te sluiten, dienen personen
met een medisch implantaat hun arts en de fabrikant van
het implantaat te raadplegen alvorens dit product te
gebruiken.
GEVAAR! Verstikkingsgevaar!
Kleinere onderdelen kunnen gemakkelijk worden ingeslikt.

3. ONDERHOUD
Accu reinigen:
vReinig de ventilatiegleuf en de aansluitingen van de accu
af en toe met een zachte, schone en droge kwast.
4. OPBERGEN
Buitenbedrijfstelling:
Het product moet voor kinderen ontoegankelijk
worden bewaard.
1. Laad de accu op.
2. Reinig de accu (zie 3. ONDERHOUD).
3. Berg de accu op een droge, dichte en vorstvrije plaats op.
Accu afvoeren:
Li-ion
De GARDENA accu bevat lithium-ioncellen die aan
het eind van hun levensduur gescheiden van het
normale huishoudelijke afval moeten worden afge-
voerd.
