Hose & Regulator Safety
Theregulatorandhoseassemblysuppliedwiththe
appliancearesuitableforpropanegasonly.
Agasregulatoradjustedtohaveanoutlet
pressureof2.75kPAissuppliedforconnectionto
thepropanegascylinder.Thepressureregulator
andhoseassemblysuppliedwiththeappliance
mustbeused.Replacementpressureregulators
andhoseassembliesmustbethosespeciedby
theappliancemanufacturer.
Whenconnectingthehoseandregulatorassembly
tothegascylinder,takecaretoavoidunnecessary
twistingorkinkingoftheexiblehose.
Aftertheassemblyhasbeensecured,turnonthe
gasandcheckforleaksbybrushingasoapand
watersolutionoverallconnections.
Ifyouareunabletocorrecttheleakbytightening
the connections, turn off the gas and contact the
supplierimmediately.
Alwaysensuretheapplianceiskeptawayfrom
ammablematerialsandthegascylinderclear
ofanyheatsource.Whenchangingoverfrom
anemptygascylindertoafullonemakesure
thisprocedureiscarriedoutinawell-ventilated
location,preferablyoutsideawayfrompeopleand
anysourcesofignition,suchasnakedames,
pilotames,electricheaters/equipment.


storageshallcomplywithAS/NZS1596.
Onlyusethehoseassemblyassuppliedwiththis
applianceforconnectiontothecylinder-DONOT
USEADAPTORS.
Maximumhoselengthis100cm.
Afteruse,turnthegascylindervalveoff,waitfor
theametogoout,andthenturntheappliance
controlvalve(s)off.
Avoidtwistingorkinkingtheexiblehose.
Ifthereisaleakonyourappliance(smellofgas)
immediatelyattempttoturnoffthecylindervalve.
Removetheappliancetoawellventilatedlocation
awayfromanyignitionsource.Checkforleaks
usingsoapywater.Donottrytodetectleaksusing

Note:Removeanytransitprotectionmaterial
Check:
1.Thecylinderislled.Asloshingsoundwillbe
 heardwhenshaken.
2.Theburnercontrolsareinthe‘OFF’position
Connecting:
1.Ensurecylindervalveisinitsfulloffposition.
2.Checkforanydamagetoeitherthecylinder
 connectionorthehose.NEVERattempttouse
 damagedequipment.
3.Whenconnectingthehosetothecylinder
 tightenthenuttoapositivestopbyhand
 orspanner.
4.Leaktestallconnectionswithasoapy
 watersolution.
5.Locatethegascylinderasafedistanceaway
 fromtheapplianceensuringthatthehoseisnot
 incontactwiththelidorbody.
Disconnecting:
1.Ensuretheburnercontrolsareinthe
 ‘OFF’position.
2.Ensurecylindervalveisinthefulloffposition.
Lighting the Stove
1.Turnthecontrolknobanti-clockwise1/4ofa
 turnandlightwithamatchorcigarettelighter.
2.Theamecanberegulatedfromhightolow.

Care & Maintenance
Aswithallappliances,propercareand
maintenancewillkeepthemintopoperating
conditionandprolongtheirlife.Byfollowing
thesecleaningproceduresonatimelybasis,your
appliancewillbekeptcleanandworkingproperly
withminimumeffort.
Flash-Back
Spidersandsmallinsectsoccasionallyspin
websormakenestsintheburnertubesduring
warehousingandtransit.Thesewebscanleadto
agasowobstructionwhichcouldresultinare
inandaroundtheburnertubes.
Thistypeofreisknownas‘FLASH-BACK’and
cancauseseriousdamagetoyourapplianceand
createanunsafeoperatingconditionfortheuser.
Althoughanobstructedburnertubeisnottheonly
causeof‘FLASH-BACK’itisthemostcommon
causeandfrequentinspectionandcleaningofthe
burnertubesisnecessary.
Ifreoccursinandaroundtheburner,
immediatelyturnoffgasatitssourceandturnthe
burnercontrolto‘OFF’,waituntiltheappliance
hascooled,thencleantheburnertubesand
burnerports.
Service
Iftheappliancecannotbeadjustedtoperform
correctlyitshouldnotbeuseduntilservicedor
repaired.ContactSitroGroupAustraliaforspare
partsandserviceinformation.
Thisappliancemustonlybeservicedbyan

andsoakinginpetrol.

SAFE APPLIANCE LOCATIONS
Thisapplianceshallonlybeusedinanabove
groundopen-airsituationwithnaturalventilation,
withoutstagnantareas,wheregasleakageand
productsofcombustionarerapidlydispersedby
windandnaturalconvection.
Any enclosure in which the appliance is used
shall comply with the following:
Anenclosurewithwallsonallsides,butatleast
onepermanentopeningatgroundlevelandno
overheadcover(seeExample1).
Withinapartialenclosurethatincludesan
overheadcoverandnomorethantwowalls
(seeExample2&3).

Within a partial enclosure that includes an
overhead cover and more than two walls, the
following will apply:
atleast25%ofthetotalwallareaiscompletely
open,andatleast30%oftheremainingwallarea
isopenandunrestricted(seeExample4&5).
In the case of balconies, at least 20% of the
