protectthemagainstdamage fromstaticelectricity,you shouldfollowsomeprecautionswheneveryou
workon yourcomputer.
1.Unplug yourcomputerwhen working on the inside.
2.Useagrounded wriststrap beforehandling computercomponents.Ifyou do nothave
one,touchbothofyourhandstoasafelygrounded objectortoametalobject, suchas
the powersupplycase.
3.Holdcomponentsbythe edgesand trynottouchthe ICchips,leadsorconnectors,or
othercomponents.
4.Placecomponentson agrounded antistaticpad oron the bag thatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthe componentsareseparated fromthe system.
5.EnsurethattheATXpowersupplyisswitched offbeforeyou plug inorremovetheATX
powerconnectoron the motherboard.
Ifthemotherboardhasmountingholes,buttheydon’tline upwiththe holesonthe baseandthereare
no slotstoattachthe spacers,do notbecomealarmed you can still attachthe spacerstothe mounting
holes.Justcutthe bottomportionofthe spacers(thespacermaybe alittlehardtocutoff, sobe careful
ofyourhands).Inthiswayyoucan still attachthe motherboardtothe basewithoutworrying aboutshort
circuits.Sometimesyou mayneed tousethe plasticspringstoisolatethescrewfromthe motherboard
PCBsurface,becausethe circuitwiremaybe nearbythe hole.Becareful,don’tletthe screwcontact
anyprinted circuitwriteorpartson the PCBthatarenearthe fixing hole,otherwiseitmaydamage the
boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

brackettothe CPUsocketfirst. 2.Hookthe otherend ofthe
coolerbrackettothe CPU
socket.
MPlease use Intelapprovedcooling fan.
MWerecommend you toapplythethermaltapetoprovidebetterheat
conduction betweenyourCPUand heatsink.
(TheCPUcooling fanmightstick totheCPUduetothehardening ofthe
thermalpaste.During thiscondition ifyou trytoremove thecooling fan,you
mightpulltheprocessoroutoftheCPUsocketalonewiththecooling fan,and
mightdamagetheprocessor.To avoidthisfromhappening,wesuggestyou to
eitherusethermaltapeinsteadofthermalpaste,orremove thecoolingfanwith
extremecaution.)
MMake suretheCPUfanpowercableispluggedintotheCPUfanconnector,
thiscompletes theinstallation.

MPlease notethattheDIMM modulecanonlyfitinonedirectionduetotheone
notches.Wrong orientation will cause improperinstallation.Please change
theinsertorientation.

1.The DIMM slothasanotch,sothe
DIMMmemorymodulecan onlyfitinone direction.
2. Insertthe DIMM memorymoduleverticallyintothe
DIMM slot. Then pushitdown.
3.Closethe plasticclipatbothedgesoftheDIMM slots
tolock the DIMM module.
Reversethe installation stepswhen you wishto
removethe DIMM module.
Step2:Install memorymodules
The motherboardhas2dualinline memorymodule(DIMM)sockets.The BIOSwill automatically
detectsmemorytype and size.Toinstall the memorymodule,justpushitverticallyintothe DIMM Slot
.The DIMM modulecan onlyfitinone direction due tothe notch.Memorysizecan varybetween
sockets.

2.Removeyourcomputer’schassiscover,screwsand slotbracketfromthe computer.
3.Press the expansion cardfirmlyintoexpansion slotinmotherboard.
4.Besurethe metalcontactson the cardareindeed seated inthe slot.
5.Replacethe screwtosecurethe slotbracketofthe expansion card.
6.Replaceyourcomputer’schassiscover.
7.Poweron the computer,ifnecessary,setup BIOSutilityofexpansion cardfromBIOS.
8. Install related driverfromthe operating system.
