Thank you for buying the Gembird® Multimedia keyboard! This manual ill help you install
and use it properly. KB-7000 is a Multimedia keyboard ith PS/2 or USB interface ith the
follo ing main features:
o22 hot keys for the Multimedia and Internet functions
oF-key function for the Office

Keyboard installation
•USB Connection
Please plug the rectangular USB connector into your computer's rectangular USB
port
•PS/2 Connection
1. Turn off the computer po er
2. Attach the purple USB-to-PS/2 adapter (if necessary) to the USB
connector, and then pl ug it into the computer's purple PS/2 keyboard
port

Software Installation
Caution: If you have previously installed other keyboard or mouse drivers on your
computer, please uninstall them first.
•Turn the computer on.
•To use all features of your keyboar d, install the soft are. If the program does not
auto-run, please find the "setup.exe" in the driver folder. And then follo the
instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
•Restart PC hen the installation is completed. Make sure the "Office Keyboard
soft are" is executed and a Key Caps Icon appears in the system tray, in the
right corner of the taskbar.
Keyboard hotkeys
The Multimedia keyboard has 22 hotkeys.
Back : Go back to the previously vie ed item in programs that support the "Back"
command, such as the Web bro ser.
Forward : Go to the next item if it as previously vie ed in the same session in
programs that support the "For ard" command, such as the Web bro ser.
WWW : Start the default Web bro ser or go to the Home Web page. If the Web
bro ser is already activated, it opens the Home Web page.
S OP : Stop loading or refreshing a ne page, if it takes too long time to display.

E-Mail : Start the default e-mail program. If you are not sure hat your default
e-mail program is, press this key to find out.
My Favorites : Open the Internet Explorer Favorites pane. This is here you can store
shortcuts to frequently used files, ebsites or other items for easy access.
Search : Open the Internet Explorer Search pane.
Refresh : Update the information on an active Web page or the contents of a
particular indo .
Word : Open Microsoft Word.
Excel : Open Microsoft Excel.
Power Point : Open Microsoft Po er Point.
Calendar : Open the Calendar of Microsoft Outlook.
Play/Pause : Play or Pause music or a movie. Once paused, press this key again to
resume playing.
Stop : Stop the music or movie that is playing.
VolumeUp : Hold do n this key to quickly increase the volume.
Volume Down : Hold do n this key to quickly decrease the volume.
Mute : Turn the sound off. Press again to turn the sound back on.

Previous rack : S itch to the next media track. Pr ess once for each subsequent track.
Next rack : S itch to the previous media track. Press once for each preceding track.
Application Switch : Press and hold this key, it ill pop up all previously open
application icons and a "mark frame" jumping bet een icons. The target application can be
selected and launched (On top) – just mark the target application and release the
"Application S itch key".
Close : Close the active Windo s application hen the key is pressed.
Cut : Cut out the selected item.
Copy : Copy the selected item.
Paste : Paste the previously cut out or copied item at the cursor position.
Mark : Mark the selected item, and use arro to mark the text.
Eject : Eject the CD from the CD-Rom drive.
Back : Go back to the previously vie ed item in programs that support the "Back"
command, such as the Web bro ser.
Forward : Go to the next item if it as previously vie ed in the same session in
programs that support the "For ard" command, such as the Web bro ser.
My computer : Open the "My computer" indo .

Calculato r : Start Microsoft Calculator.
LOG Off : Open the Log Off Windo s dialog box.
Sleep : You can put the system into sleep mode, if the PC supports po er management.
If po er management is not enabled, this key ill not ork.
Power : Put the system into po er-off mode, if the PC supports po er management
and it is enabled. You can s itch the computer off by pressing this key. If the po er
management is not enabled, po er key ill not ork.
Note: Most hot keys may be re-configured to start other applications or Web pages. Please
refer to "Ho To Redefine The Hot Keys" for more detail.
"F" Key Functions
F Lock : S itch the function from the normal function keys (LED off)to the enhanced
function keys (LED on).
Help : Open the Help file in the active application that provides this feature.
New : Create a ne document in the active application that provides this feature.
Open : Open a document in the active application that provides this feature.

Save : Save the document currently open and in focus. The target application should
provide this feature.
Replace : Search for, replace and go to the specified text in the active application.
Spell : Start the spell-checking program in the active application that provides this
feature.
Undo : Undoes the last action you carried out in the application you are orking in. You
can press this key several times to undo multiple actions.
Redo : Reverses the action of the Undo command. If you have used undo several times,
you can press this key several times to reverse all of the undo actions.
Reply : Creates a Reply to an e-mail you have received. The reply is created to either
the e-mail currently open and in focus, or the e-mail highlighted in your Inbox; this function
might not ork if it is used ith other soft are than MS Outlook and Outlook Express.
Reply All : Creates a "Reply All" to an e-mail you have received. The "reply all" is
created to either the e-mail currently open and in focus, or the e-mail highlighted in your
Inbox; this function might not ork if it is used ith other soft are than MS Outlook and
Outlook Express.
Forward : For ards an e-mail you have received. The e-mail for arded is either that

Send : Sends an e-mail you have ritten. The e-mail sent is that currently open and in

Function of Navigation Wheel
When you press the "Navigation Wheel", a Menu ill pop up on the screen.
The Menu ill provide a quick access to the frequently used texts, shortcut to the
applications (documents) or target eb site…, etc. You can immediately edit or insert the
sentence, name, address, pass ord or text ith a simple press of a key, as if using a mouse
