The convertor (electrodes) is a consumable

article and with proper usage its life span

can be approx. 20 applications i.e. treat-

ments. Different aspects can influence its

life span:

1) Setting (Amperes’s measurement)

The settings should not be higher than

1.8A. Recommended levels are 1.6A to 1.7A

in order to avoid unnecessary stress on the

machine. Normally the machine will cut

out if settings too high.

2) Cleaning

The convertor should be carefully cleaned

after each treatment. Initially rinse the

convertor thoroughly under running water

to remove excess debris sticking to it, being

careful not to handle any metal parts.

Then submerge in the cleansing fluid for at

least 5 minutes. This is important not only

for cleanliness but to prevent dirt particles

further eroding the metal parts and thus

shortening its life span.

3) Water Quality

The quality of the water, and its chemical

and metal content e.g. chlorine, inorganic

copper etc. can affect the life span of the

convertor. “Soft” water, free from chemical

additives is better but not always possible.

We do recommend running the water

through the Aquator* (see enclosed leaflet).

We do not recommend the addition of wa-

ter softeners or other artificial additives.

Scientific-engineering base

Electrolysis The decomposition of water is called

"oxidation-reduction"; the oxidation

happens in one Electrode, the reduc-

tion in the others.

Electric dialysis

If two electrodes are separated by a

membrane which exclusively allows-

negative ions or exclusively allows

positive ions to pass, an electric di-

alysis takes place.

The electric dialysis was introduced

in the 60s commercially, primarily

for the demineralisation of sea water.

The process can be used not only for

the separation of salt from salt solu-

tions, but also for the recovery of ac-

ids and bases. It is not effective in

non-polar solutions. Electrolysis is

used to remove specific ionic impuri-

ties in water by passing via selective

ionic membranes. It can be employed

similarly with gaseous mixtures.

Ionisation

The phenomenon of Ionisation is em-

ployed by nature, often to regenerate

and cleanse. For example thunder-

storms and lightning are known to

‘clear the air.’ Thermal-spas (hot

springs), sea beaches, forests. moun-

tain tops—all are known to have a

beneficial healing effect on biological

organisms. Such places and phe-

nomena are often highly negatively

charged and when negative ions are

absorbed into a stressed body they

will gravitate to where there is a

build up of positive ionisation which

can be a consequence of injury, in-

correct eating/ drinking and environ-

mental stress factors.

Electrolysis has been used in industry

for many years.

Electrolysis merely means a disinte-

gration by means of an electric cur-

rent usually galvanic or direct cur-

rent. It is used industrially in the pro-

duction of metal alloys, precipitation

of chemical solutions and in the pro-

duction of oxygen (for submarines).

With the electrolysis a weak electric

stream flows between two electrodes

which are in an ionized liquid (e.g.,

salted water). One electrode (cathode)

is negative, the other (anode) is

charged positively.

To maximize the conductive surface,

two metal spirals form the electrodes

which are contained within an open

plastic casing. This casing is placed in

the Cell-Meddetox System which has

been filled with the correct salt water

solution. When the current is switched

on the process of ionisation occurs.

The positive ions within the salt solu-

tion will move towards the negative

cathode, and the negative ions will

flow to wards the anode continuously

thus creating a current.

From the body eliminated Electrolytes

(body materials, toxins) are released

into the solution, while simultaneously

the water is converted to hydrogen and

oxygen.

To be able to judge the effectiveness of

the electrolysis footbath system differ-

ent methods of the observation have

been used.

1. Clinical observation and reports of

experience of patients

2. Urine test or electrolyte investiga-

tion on heavy metals

3. Investigations with the GDV

method

(GDV = Gas Discharge Visualisation)

4. Investigations with the biology-

resonance method (Bicom)

In the following an example of a bio-

resonance measurement (Bicom in

2000) before or after a treatment with

the electrolysis footbath:

The role of water concerning the normal

functions of a healthy body should not

be underestimated.

Investigations have proved that water

serves as a signal carrier for a huge

number of weak, physical influences, as

for example, electromagnetic fields.

A treatment with the Cell-Meddetox

system helps to compensate the bio-

energetic fields of the body encouraging

a positive influence on the function of

the organs again. The optimum energy

potential of the body and individual or-

gans can be assessed through acupunc-

ture and meridians and even by pulse

analysis as in Chinese medicine. Each

Contact Reflex Analysis

Once mastered, CRA is a simple,

safe and natural way of analysing

the body’s structural, nutritional

and physical requirements. It is a

method whereby a therapist, doctor,

practitioner measures the body’s re-

flexes to ascertain the root causes of

any health disturbance.

Praise must be given to Dr. Staggs for her

pioneering contribution within the field

of C.R.A., herbal medicine and much

more as well as her development work of

electrolysis detox and the whole holistic

field of medicine.

The large part of the early developing

work of the today's Cell-Meddetox

system was explained in the Stagg's

lab in Estepona, Spain. There the first

attempts with Contact reflex analysis

(CRA) were also done, a measuring

method, using energy meridians and

acupuncture points to analyse physi-

cal improvement.

The detailed investigations showed

that treatments with the electrolysis

footbath not only stimulate the energy

meridians of the body, but also in gen-

eral raised the energy level of the body.

The stimulative effect of treatment con-

tinued after each session. Below are re-

sults measured by C.R.A.

Best measuring method

In the following examples of measurements after the

"Best" - measuring method ( = electrical skin resistance ), in each case before

or after the treatment with the electrolysis footbath:

The optimum values lie within the range 50 +/- 4. The evidence indicated

a significant improvement in the values following treatment.

Operating instructions

The Cell-Meddetox system consists of a

hard plastic treatment footbasin in which a

control unit, consisting of an electronic tax

component and sensor is integrated.

Two connectable convectors/arrays and

one transformer (110-240V / 12V)

are supplied.

The electric circuits correspond to the in-

ternational norms, hence the system can

be used throughout Europe without need

for an adaptor.

CMS and accessories

1. Produce Saline solution

Make a saline solution by adding

1 tablespoon of household sea salt to

1 pint of boiling water and stir until

dissolved. You will need a small amount

of this solution for each treatment.

(e.g. 50mls) The solution can be stored

for subsequent treatments.

3. Drinking water

Please supply your client with safe, pure

drinking water* throughout the process to

avoid dehydration and remind them to

drink more water than usual to encourage

the detoxification process.

Place feet in the comfortably warm salt

water with the array placed, as illustrated

You should now have a continuous cable

from the plug to the metal connector.

Attach the metal connector to the

matching socket of the Foot Spa

(2nd Picture).

Now connect the array with

the other socket on the Foot Spa.

Place the array into the middle of the

Foot Spa.

Press ON – OFF button. The screen will

be activated, showing the settings TIME

(duration), CURRENT (power) and ALT

(programme). The normal (and recom-

mended) settings are 30 minutes, 1.5 A

and standard. These settings may be al-

tered (see steps 9 and 10).

With the function CURRENT you may

adjust the intensity of the treatment.

The recommended current for the

optimum life expectancy of the

array is 1.5 A.

This will be suitable for most clients.

With the function SPIN you may choose

the type of program:

• Alternate

changes the polarity of the current

every 5 minutes, "rocking" the

cells of the patient.

• Gentle

the current can be increased/

decreased from 1.0 A to the desired

setting (see step 9), making it ideal

for patients who are weak or recuper-

ating (we recommend an upper limit

of 1.4 A ).

• Standard

the normal setting 1.5 A.

Carefully add the salt solution which you

have prepared (see step 1) until the message

"add salt" disappears.

Avoid pouring the salt solution too near the

array as initial high salt concentration may

cause the machine to switch off. Allow the salt

solution to dissipate throughout the water.

Remember to

give your client

plenty to drink.

Also remind them

to drink more water

than usual after

the process.

With the function TIME you may choose

the duration of the session in 5-minute

increments.

Recommended are 30 minutes per session

(children and recuperating

people 15 minutes.)

Now press the START - STOP key and

the elective program starts.

17. To empty the water residue from the Foot Spa

15. End / Stopping the Session

A bottle of environmentally friendly cleaning agent is

initially provided.

Detach the array from the Foot Spa and rinse thoroughly in

cold running water. Fill a container large enough to hold the array

and add the cleanser. The cleanser liquid should reach the top of

the coils in the array. Leave the array for approx. 5 minutes until

all residue is removed. Moving the array up and down in the fluid

can help remove residue. Remove the cleaned array from the

cleaning fluid and again wash under running water. Store the

array in a container of clean water, again covering the array to

prevent the coils from oxidizing.

The array cleanser can be used many times but when it

becomes discoloured or smelly, pour down the toilet bowl.

Further tips see label:

Metal Cleaner.

Carry the foot spa with the plastic cover to the toilet bowl/WC.

Slowly and carefully empty the contents down the bowl.

Discard the dirty plastic cover to the refuse.

Take care to clean your toilet bowl to prevent residue build up.

16. Cleaning and disinfecting the arrays

Upon completion of a treatment session,

an audio signal will sound and the

program will automatically switch off.

By pressing the On / Off button the

device is switched off.

Product Information

Normal tap water supply can often be

loaded with accepted chemical additives

such as chlorine, fluoride as well as toxic

elements such as inorganic toxic metals

and residue from pesticides, insecticides

etc. Should you wish to improve the qual-

ity of the therapeutic water you use in

your treatments, we offer Aquasafe

which neutralises chlorine and fluoride

while also increasing the oxygen content

in the water.

Please note that there are many vari-

ables which could affect the colours which

are discharged in the water. For example

the quality of the water can vary consid-

erably, the condition of the person etc,

Such will have an effect that naturally

can affect the final colour.

However, according to B.Moroney, M.D.,

Some indication may be drawn from the

type of discoloration of the water in re-

gard to the organic situation of the pa-

tient

An orange-brown colour, for example,

could indicate problems of the kidneys

and/or bladder, while a distinctly black

colour might indicate the presence of

heavy metals (lead)

Mercury, cadmium, chromium, copper,

zinc). With a black colour, the solvents

are mostly very small and the consistency

of the water is muddy

A green colour could indicate problems of

the liver and/or gall bladder and /or of the

digestive tract.

Combinations of colours, with various de-

grees of solvency) are possible too, as well

as a discharge of white foam (lymphatic

system, mucus) and/or fatty particles

(lipids).

It is also possible that distinctive odours/

gases are emitted during the process

(smell of metal, sulphur, ammonium and

indeed some offensive odours of uncertain

origin). Homeopathically and energeti-

cally the water and its residue will be

contaminated, so try not to breathe too

deeply near the water.

Decontamination of the body the oldest therapy

Some toxins are excreted in the sweat

through the skin. It is generally accepted

that intensive sweating expels poisons

from the body. However, from an orthodox

medical standpoint, there is no proof of

this. On the other hand, the associated

fluid loss can cause an undesired concen-

tration of left over toxins.

Toxins are likewise eliminated by the gas-

tric system, (the gut), via bowel move-

ments. This is quite obvious when the

body suffers a severe toxic situation e.g.

food poisoning and tries to regain balance

by vomiting or /and diarrhoea .

Finally, there are two further organs

which play a direct role in the detoxifica-

tion process: the liver and the kidneys .

Control of the correct function

of the eliminating organs

Because the liver plays such an important

role in regulating and maintaining vital

functions it is necessary to regularly ob-

serve and check liver efficiency. This is

sensible especially in older age because

this is when liver function is most likely to

become imbalanced. Unfortunately it is pos-

sible to contract severe liver damage long

before symptoms appear. Sometimes, even

medical laboratory tests cannot identify liver

disease.

Therefore, it is more than advisable to

take care of liver function by, for example,

through regular detoxification cures, espe-

cially when medication or drugs are taken

over a long period of time.

Without the removal from the body of the

residue of decontamination of the products

which we eat, drink, and inhale, we would

be constantly ill.

The world we live in is full of toxic elements

which adversely influence our metabolism

and our immune systems.

But toxins would also pose a health problem

if we lived in a completely sterile world. Our

bodies also produce harmful elements, by -

products of metabolism, which must be neu-

tralized and eliminated. One of the most

common injurious by-products of a normal

endocrine exchange is, Ethyl alcohol ( found

in alcoholic beverages) which is converted

into an even more complicated and more

dangerous form, namely acetic aldehyde.

The term “Free Radicals” is well known from

the many vitamin advertisements. They are

also known as body cleansing metabolic

agents. They are responsible for many

health problems, and have been linked to

cancer and premature ageing. Actually, the

body should be able to cope with these

agents but today’s lifestyle and multi-toxic

environment makes this difficult, and, in

fact, presents a permanent problem, espe-

cially in older age.

Certain organs are highly specialized in the

excretion of toxic gases. For example, the

lungs get rid of toxic gases and volatile

chemicals which are exhaled—a process of

detoxification. That is, anaesthetic gases are

excreted from the body via the lungs.

Affects mineral balance. Reacts with

proteins, concentrates in kidneys.

Can substitute zinc in enzymes, hence

change enzyme reactions. Carcinoma of

prostate, lungs and pancreas are

associated with working in places with

high cadmium levels.

vehicle emissions, plastic, batteries, amalgam, rub-

ber, fish, marihuana, fungicides, coke drinks, instant

coffee, paints, fertilizers, smoking.

Copper

Displacement of organic zinc in en-

zymes resulting in weakened immune

system and degeneration of skin, hair

and nail growth. Also fatigue, stutter-

ing, skin irritations, sleeplessness

(hyperactivity with children)

It can interfere with the integration of

vitamin C and hence all processes in

which vitamin C is involved.

beer, chocolate, certain sweet goods, certain mush-

rooms, nuts, contraceptive pill, copper inter uterine

Mercury

Reacts with other enzymes and proteins

in the liver and destroys this.

Damage of the central & peripheral

nervous system. Impediment of specific

brain functions, especially with toddlers.

It is stored in the food chain, the highest

concentration in the kidneys. Hormonal

disturbance especially in Women.

Can enter the brain. Affects speech,

Excretion is the process by which the body rids

itself of toxins/waste products.

The body continuously produces waste by- prod-

ucts, e.g. nitrogen from the break down of pro-

tein. The kidneys are responsible for filtering

nitrogen-containing waste, i.e. mainly urea, out

of the bloodstream. The kidneys also regulate

the flow of water through the body and main-

tain the correct salt balance. The ultimate waste

product, the urine, can be tested to assess if the

kidneys are functioning correctly. In hospitals,

uric tests are carried out as a matter of routine to

recognize kidney disturbances early. Typical ill-

nesses, which can be determined by means of

Heavy metals

Ionic ‘heavy’ metals (cadmium, mercury, lead,

zinc, copper and chromium) are highly toxic to

the kidneys. Ionic toxic metals are aggressive

free radicals which can create cascading effects

and multi–symptoms in the body. They can det-

rimentally affect the natural decontamination

processes of the kidneys and other eliminating

organs. To affect homoeostasis and thus correct

functioning of all systems of the body elimination

of ionic ‘heavy’ metals is vital. Following is a brief

Lead

If cells and the mitochondria becomes

blocked with ionic toxic metals they become

weak and are unable to absorb nutrients or

eliminate toxic waste from the cells, leading

to cellular disintegration.

Lead can readily penetrate the placenta in

the womb and affect the developing foetus.

Clinical studies have shown lower I.Q. in

children with high lead levels. It impedes

brain functioning, especially with toddlers.

Traditional Therapies

Past & present.

Traditional healing cures and health

spas have been known throughout the

ages. Thermal baths and hydrotherapy

treatments were well accepted natural

‘cures’ in the past. Today many people

enjoy modern water, fasting and detoxifi-

cation approaches to benefit their health

e.g. Kneipp ‘cure’ Thalasso & Fango. In

Middle Ages purges and Bloodletting were

popular. Todays humoral therapy tends

towards, colonic lavage, lymph drainage

Patients with a risk of severe intoxi-

Patient's questioning.

Before the start of any treatment the

person to be treated should be asked to

give a comprehensive account of her/his

medical history. Ensure that you ask

especially for any known medical condi-

tion that they may suffer from. This can

be obtained through targeted question-

ing. A copy of a questionnaire is delivered

with every device as an example presen-

tation for a patient’s questioning. (You

may wish to expand this sample question

sheet). This is in order to safeguard your

patient from any treatment procedure

which may possibly be detrimental to

their particular health situation. If in

any doubt as to the suitability of the

treatment for a particular patient, it is

best to err on the side of caution, and re-

frain from administering treatment.

It is considered that patients with:

• pacemakers (or any other pulsing im-

plant)

• persons suffering from epilepsy or

any other form of seizure, black-outs,

psychotic episodes

• acute danger or suspected danger of

thrombosis

• haemophilia

• severe oedema

• pregnant or lactating

Diagnosis: patients with medical symp-

toms should be diagnosed and treated by

a doctor. The Cell-Meddetox system/ pro-

How does it make one detox?

The machine does not make the Cell - Meddetox, it bio-energetically stimulates the body to

enable self detoxification and rebalancing of the body as shown in research using medically

approved equipment. Further, many practitioners have carried out their own analysis, pre

and post tests such as kinesiology, vega tests, Bio–com machine tests, Contact Reflex Analy-

sis and others.

Why do we have to add salt to the water?

The salt creates conductivity, which allows the array to work.

Why does the water change colour?

Perspiration is one of the ways in which toxins exit our body. Perspiration is generally clear

but can be foul smelling and exude toxic salts. The toxins from our bodies react with the

ionised water causing colour change. Similarly, toxins already contained in the water react to

cause some colour change also. If the machine is run without salt and with no feet in the wa-

ter then no colour change will occur. If it is run with salt in the water but no feet, a

lemon/orange colour usually occurs. This colour will vary slightly with location depending

on the water quality and chemical content in each area.

Why does the colour change the more I use it?

The colour should get lighter as one detoxes but it may not always be the case as we are

constantly re-absorbing environmental and perhaps other chemical toxins. With frequent use

there should be less toxins in the water which should result in a lighter colour.

Can I use the machine every day?

Generally, it is possible for a healthy person to use the machine around twice a week,

although the maximum usage should not exceed once every two days. Those people suffe-

ring from illnesses, the frequency should be reduced. This is because for those who are un-

well, their bodies go into healing mode after treatment, during which they may feel tired and

lethargic. This is usually followed by a feeling of increased energy and well being. In this

case, some time is required for the body to fully recover and a following treatment should

not be given for a few days, or until they feel fully recovered.

Is it safe to treat a person for 10 minutes?

In an adult body, the cycle of blood takes approximately 20 minutes for one complete cycle.

Therefore, to stay on the machine for less than 20 minutes would not be harmful in any way,

but would not be beneficial either. This cycle is considerably less for children, and the re-

commended treatment times reflect this. Adults should have the full 30 minutes, children 15

minutes and only 10 minutes for babies.

Can one place hands in the Cell - Meddetox System instead of feet?

Yes. The feet would be preferable but there is no reason why hands cannot be placed in the

Cell - Meddetox system, remembering of course to follow the recommendations as outlined

above.
