Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT
Read these instructions carefully before beginning the installa-
tion. Proper installation will provide safe & efficient service,
and avoid needless expense not covered by the warranty.
Should you have any questions please contact your local dealer
or call the customer service department of the manufacturer
listed on the warranty card.

instructions is not followed exactly, a fire or
explosion may result causing property
damage, personal injury or death.
Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable
vapours and liquids in the vicinity of this or any
other appliance.
WHAT TO DO IFYOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light any appliances.
• Do not touch any electrical switches, do not
use any telephone in your building.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a
neighbour’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s
instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the
fire department.
Installation and service must be performed by
a qualified installer, service agency or the gas
supplier

INSTALLATION
Location
Location should be as close as possible to a chimney and to
the main use of hot water.This location must not be subject to
freezing temperatures, and must be close to a suitable free
flowing floor drain. The water heater should be positioned,
so that there is easy access to the controls and drain valve.
Where a floor drain is not adjacent to the water heater, a suit-
able drain pan must be installed under the water heater. This
drain pan should be at least four (4) inches larger than the
diameter of the water heater, and at least one (1) inch deep
providing access to the drain valve. This pan must not restrict
the flow of ventilation and combustion air. This pan must be
piped to a suitable drain to prevent damage to property in the
event of a water leak from the piping, the relief valve, or the
water heater. Sooner or later, all water heaters leak. The
manufacturer, based on national building codes has given the
necessary advice to prevent damage to the building. Under no
circumstances is the manufacturer to be held liable for
any water damage in connection with this water
heater.
Do not install the water heater in a small enclosure unless
ample ventilation air is supplied. This air must be drawn from
outside the space used. Confined spaces must have two
permanent openings, one six (6) inches from the top of the
enclosure, and one six (6) inches from the bottom. Each opening
must have a minimum of one (1) square inch per 1000 BTU of
input of all appliances in the room, and the length of these
openings must be two times greater than the height (see figure 1).
Mobile home
Water heaters installed in mobile homes must be installed as
shown in figure 1. The dimensions shown in figure 1 are the
minimum dimensions.A larger space is recommended wherever
possible. Be aware that the floor where the water heater is to
be installed must be suitable to support the full weight of the
filled water heater. A free flowing floor drain must also be
installed.The combustion air supplied to the water heater must
be drawn from outside the mobile home through louvered
areas (see figure 1). The size of each louvered area in the out-
side wall shall be a minimum of one (1) square inch of free area
per 4000 BTU/hr of the rated input of the water heater.
Installation should allow complete access to the controls, com-
bustion chamber, and pressure relief valve. The water heater
must be secured in place with the mounting brackets provided
with each water heater in the parts bag. Conversion orifices
will also be found in the parts bag.
CAUTION
Should this water heater be installed on carpeting, the carpe-
ting must be protected by a wood or metal panel beneath the
water heater, and must extend at least three (3) inches beyond
the width and depth of the water heater. Should the water
heater be installed in an alcove or closet, the entire floor area
must be covered by the panel.
The minimum clearances from combustible material are two
(2) inches at the side and rear of the water heater, four (4)
inches at the front, and eighteen (18) inches from the top.
Drafthood
The water heater must be vented using the drafthood provided
(see figure 2). To the drafthood, connect only type B gas flue
connectors with material not less than No.28 U.S. gauge thick-
ness and corrosion resistance equivalent to or better than
galvanized iron. The pitch must not be less than 1/4 inch per
foot and the maximum length of the horizontal run must not
exceed 75% of the flue height (in no case exceeding 20 feet).

These instructions have been written as a guide for the proper
installation and operation of your water heater, and the manu-
facturer of this water heater will not accept any liability where
these instructions have not been followed. However, for your
safety and to avoid damage caused by improper installation,
this water heater must be installed by a Certified Licensed
Professional, and meet all local codes or, in the absence of
local codes, the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1 and/or
CAN/CGA B149, Installation Codes. If the water heater is to be
installed in a mobile home, it must be installed according to The
Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standard, Title 24
CFR, Part 3280 and/or CAN/CSA Z240 MH Series, Mobile Homes.

Water piping
Refer to figure 3 for a typical water piping layout. Use of this
layout should provide a trouble free installation for the life of
the water heater. Before the piping connections are made,
ensure that the dip tube is in the cold water inlet. Have the
installer show you where the water heater shut off valve is
located, so that you know how to shut off the water. When
assembling the hot and cold piping, it is imperative that open
flame is not applied to the inlet and outlet fittings as heat will
damage or destroy the plastic lined fittings supplied by the
manufacturer. THIS WILL RESULT IN PREMATURE FAILURE
OF THE NIPPLES WHICH IS NOT COVERED BY THE WAR-
RANTY. When making these connections, use a good food
grade of pipe joint compound , and ensure all fittings are tight.
Temperature and pressure relief valve
To protect from excessive pressure and/or temperature, a
temperature and pressure relief valve has been installed by the
manufacturer. The relief valve piping must terminate not less
than six (6) inches and not more than twelve (12) inches above
a floor drain. DO NOT THREAD, CAP, OR IN ANYWAY
RESTRICT THE END OF THIS OUTLET. DO NOT connect
this outlet directly to a drain. In the event of excessive temper-
ature or pressure, this valve will discharge very hot water at
high pressure. DO NOT RESTRICT.
The Discharge Line:
1. Must not be smaller than the outlet pipe size of the relief valve.
2. Must not be restricted in any way.
3. Must be of a material capable of withstanding 210
o
F. (90
o
C)
without distortion.
4. Must be installed to allow complete drainage.
5. Must terminate at an adequate free flowing drain.
Pressure Build-up in a Water System
When the water heater operates, the heated water expands
creating a pressure build-up. This is a natural function and is
one of the reasons for installing a temperature and pressure
relief valve. If the cold water supply line has a built in water
meter, check valve or pressure reducing valve, a suitable device
to prevent pressure build-up or water hammer effect must be
installed otherwise the warranty is void (see figure 3) Ex:
THERMXtrol. An indication of pressure build-up is frequent
discharges of water from the relief valve. This is a safety fea-
ture, however if the valve relieves water on a continuous basis,
it may indicate a malfunction of the valve and a qualified service
technician must be called to have the system checked, and the
problem corrected. Do not plug the temperature and pressure valve.
WARNING
This water heater must not be operated with the cold inlet
valve closed. Manually operate the temperature and pres-
sure relief valve at least once a year, STANDING CLEAR
OF THE OUTLET AS THE WATER RELEASED WILL BE
HOT. Lift and release the operating lever on the tempera-
ture and pressure valve to make the valve operate freely.
NEVER OPERATE THE WATER HEATER IF IT IS NOT
COMPLETELY FILLED WITH WATER. TO MAKE SURE
THE WATER HEATER IS FILLED, OPEN AN UPSTAIRS
HOT WATER FAUCET UNTIL THERE IS A FULL FLOW
OF WATER,WITH NO AIR ESCAPING.
Cathodic Protection (Anode)
This water heater is equipped with an anode rod which is
designed to prolong the life of the glass lined tank. The anode,
through electrolytic action, is slowly consumed protecting the
glass lined tank (cathode). The amount of protection given is
dependent on local water conditions. If your water is very low
in mineral content (soft), consumption of the anode is slow. If
your local water is high in mineral content (hard), anode con-
sumption is rapid. Where a water softener is introduced to
fight hard water, the life expectancy of the water heater is
reduced as outlined on the warranty card. In hard waters, it is
desirable to check the anode periodically and replace it when
necessary to extend the life of the water heater. This replace-
ment would normally be undertaken by a plumber, and, while it
is not under warranty, replacement does extend tank life.
Hydrogen gas
In some waters, and generally in times of non usage, the anode
and water combination can produce hydrogen gas. This water
smells like rotten eggs and is prevalent in well systems. It can
normally be cured by chlorinating the well and the water tank
and in severe cases by changing the anode to a type more suit-
able for these conditions (aluminum anode).A sign of hydrogen
gas production is spurting at the faucet when it is opened.
HYDROGEN GAS IS EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE, and must not
be exposed to an open flame. Run the water until the gas is
purged from the system. Under no circumstances should the
anode be removed from the water heater on a permanent
basis, as this action will void the warranty. Call your plumber
for advice on local water conditions.The sodium salts generat-
ed by a water softener makes this water extremely conductive
therefore the anode becomes ineffective within one year. See
warranty restriction to this effect.
Gas connections
The gas piping must be installed as indicated in figure 3. Only
new piping with cleanly cut threads may be used, together with
a suitable sealing compound that is approved for natural gas
and propane. The inlet pressure to the unit must not exceed
fourteen (14) inches in W.C. (water column) for both natural
and propane gases. If any pressure testing of the gas line is
undertaken at test pressures in excess of 1/2 psig *(3. 5 kpa ),
the water heater and its shut off valve, must be disconnected
from the gas supply piping system and the end of the pipe
sealed with a female cap. If the testing is to be undertaken at a

test pressure less than 1/2 psig*(3.5 kpa), the gas supply manual
shut-off valve must be closed. The water heater and it’s gas
connection must be leak tested before placing the appliance
into operation. It is mandatory that a readily accessible manual
shut-off valve be installed in the gas supply line. The shut-off
valve must be close to the water heater. A drip leg must be
installed ahead of the gas control valve to trap sediment in the
gas supply piping.A ground joint union must be installed ahead
of the gas control valve for easy maintenance of the water
heater. All leak testing must be undertaken using a soap and
water solution.
NEVER USE AN OPEN FLAME TO TEST FOR GAS
LEAKS. A FIRE OR EXPLOSION COULD OCCUR
RESULTING IN PROPERTY DAMAGE
OR PERSONAL INJURY.
Filling the water heater
Check that all the piping connections have been made.
Check that the drain valve is fully closed.
Open the hot water faucet at the highest point on the premises.
Open the shut-off valve in the cold water supply line.
When water runs from the hot water faucet, the tank is full.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
The higher the setting , the greater the risk of scalding. Hot water can
cause third degree burns in one (1) seconds at 65ºC (150ºF), in six (6)
seconds at 60ºC (140ºF) and in thirty (30) seconds at 54ºC (130ºF). In
households where there are children, physically challenged individuals, or
elderly persons, mixing valves for point of use are necessary as a means
of reducing the scalding potential of hot water. Use the vacation setting
for prolonged absences.
Water temperature regulation
The thermostat is factory adjusted to its lowest temperature.
The required water temperature can be selected by rotating
the temperature dial on the front of the gas control (see figure 4).
The preferred starting point on the dial is indicated by a long
hash-mark on Robertshaw models, and a white triangle on the
White-Rogers model.The thermostat is equipped with an ener-
gy cut-off (E.C.O.). Should the temperature of the water
exceed 90ºC (193ºF), the E.C.O. will shut off the gas to the
water heater. If the E.C.O. has tripped, the gas control must be
replaced. Please contact your local gas utility or a qualified
service technician to replace your gas control.
Special precaution for Propane gas models
Propane gas is heavier than air. Should there be a leak in the
system, the gas will settle at floor level. Basements, crawl
spaces, closets and areas below ground level will serve as
pockets for the accumulation of the gas. Before
lighting, PLEASE SNIFF AT ALL THE LOW LEVELS AREAS. IF
YOU SMELL GAS, FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW.
START UP AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
• This water heater must have the gas pilot lit by hand.
• Use only your hand to push in or turn the gas control knob. Never
use tools if the knob will not push in or turn by hand.
Do not try to repair it, call a qualified service technician. Force or
attempted repair of a control may result in a fire or explosion.
• Do not use the appliance if any part has been subjected to water
immersion. It must be inspected before use by a qualified service
technician who will replace any part of the control system which has
been submerged.
To avoid possible injury, fire or explosion, read these precautions
before attempting to light or re-light the water heater.
WHAT TO DO IFYOU SMELL GAS

LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
Natural gas models (Robertshaw 220R)
1) Have you filled out the installation checklist ?
2) Set the thermostat to its lowest setting by turning the water tem-
perature dial counter-clockwise to “VACATION”.
3) Rotate the gas control knob clockwise to the “OFF” position.
4) Wait five (5) minutes to allow any gas in the unit to vent to the
atmosphere. IF YOU SMELL GAS AFTER 5 MINUTES “STOP”. Read
the safety instructions. If you do not smell gas proceed to step 5.
5) Remove the outer and inner door from the casing and combustion
chamber.
6) Locate the pilot by following the small aluminum tube from the gas
control.The pilot is adjacent to the burner.
7) Rotate the gas control knob counter-clockwise , indexing the
pilot with the indicator on the control casing.
8 ) Introduce a lit match at the head of the pilot. Depress and hold the
knob for one minute. Upon ignition of the pilot, remove match. At
this point the pilot should remain lit. Release the knob. If the pilot
does not stay lit, repeat steps 3 through 8.
NOTE: After three failures at lighting the pilot, turn the gas control
knob clockwise to “OFF” and call a qualified service techni-
cian or your local gas supplier
9) Replace the inner and outer doors.
10) With the pilot lit, turn the gas control knob clockwise to
“ON” and adjust the water temperature dial clockwise to suit
your needs.At this point the burner should light. READ ALL ABOUT
THE DANGER OF SCALDING ON the WARNING STICKER.
11) If several attempts at lighting the burner fail, turn the gas control
knob clockwise to “OFF” and call a qualified service techni-
cian or your local gas supplier.
Natural, propane and convertible models
(Robershaw R110)
1) Have you filled out the installation checklist ?
2) Set the thermostat to its lowest setting by turning the water tem-
perature dial counter-clockwise to “VACATION”.
3) Rotate the gas control knob clockwise to the “OFF” position.
4) Wait five minutes to allow any gas in the unit to vent to atmosphere.
IF YOU SMELL GAS AFTER 5 MINUTES “STOP”. Read the safety
instructions. If you do not smell gas proceed to step 5. In the case of
PROPANE which is heavier than air, gas will settle at the
lowest point in the house and sometimes far away from the water
heater. Please locate this point and sniff.
5) Remove the outer and inner door from the casing and combustion chamber.
6) Locate the pilot by following the small aluminum tube from the gas
control.The pilot is adjacent to the burner.
7) Rotate the gas control knob counter-clockwise to “PILOT”.
8) Introduce a lit match at the head of the pilot. Depress and hold the
pilot button for one minute. Upon ignition of the pilot, remove the
lit match. The pilot should stay lit. Release the button. If the pilot
goes out, repeat steps 3 through 8.
NOTE: After three failures at lighting the pilot, turn the gas control
knob clockwise to “OFF” and call a qualified service techni-
cian or your local gas supplier
9) Replace the inner and outer doors.
10) With the pilot lit, turn the gas control knob counter-clockwise
to “ON” and adjust the water temperature dial clockwise

gas control knob clockwise to “OFF” and call a qualified
service technician or your local gas supplier.
Natural gas model (White-Rogers)
1) Have you filled out the installation checklist ?
2) Set the thermostat to its lowest setting by turning the water tem-
perature dial clockwise until it stops.
3) Push in the gas control knob slightly and turn clockwise
to “OFF”.
4) Wait five (5) minutes to allow gas in the unit to vent to the
atmosphere. IF YOU SMELL GAS AFTER FIVE (5) MINUTES, STOP read
the safety instructions. If you do not smell gas, proceed to step five (5).
5) Remove the outer and inner door from the casing and combustion chamber.
6) Locate the pilot by following the small aluminum tube from the gas
control.The pilot is adjacent to the burner.
7) Turn the gas control knob counter-clockwise to “PILOT”.
8) Introduce a lit match at the head of the pilot. Depress and hold the
gas control knob for one (1) minute. Upon ignition of the pilot,
remove the match. At this point, the pilot should remain lit. Release
the gas control knob. If the pilot does not stay lit, repeat step three
(3) through eight (8).
NOTE: If the control knob does not pop up when released or if
the pilot will not stay lit after three (3) tries, turn the gas control
clockwise to “OFF” and call your gas supplier or a qualified
service technician.
9) Replace the inner and outer doors.
10) With the pilot lit, turn the gas control knob counter-clockwise
to “ON”. Adjust the water temperature dial clockwise
to suit your needs. At this point, the burner should light.
READ ALL ABOUT THE DANGER OF SCALDING ON THE
WARNING STICKER.
11) If several attempts at lighting the burner fail, turn the gas control
knob clockwise to “OFF” and call your gas supplier or a
qualified service technician.
WARNING
Should overheating occur, or the gas supply fail to shut off,
turn the manual supply shut-off valve to the water heater to
“OFF”. To turn the water heater “OFF”, turn the tempera-
ture control dial counter-clock-wise (Robertshaw mod-
els) and clockwise (White-Roger models) to the low-
est setting. Rotate the gas control knob clockwise
to the “OFF” position.
Out of fuel
If your water heater should run out of gas, proceed as follows:
1) Turn off the gas at the manual shut-off valve.
2) Turn the gas control knob to the “OFF” position.
3) Once the gas supply has been re-established, proceed
to the lighting instructions.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE
House keeping
As a precaution against fire, and to maintain an adequate flow
of combustion air to the water heater,
Keep the appliance area clear and free from combustible mate-
rials, paint thinner, gasoline, and any liquid that may emit flam-
mable vapors. If this is not respected, fire or explosion will
occur.
Keep the top of the water heater clean to maintain air flow
through the vent. If this is not respected, fire may occur.
WARNING
DUE TO THE FEDERALLY MANDATED HIGH EFFI-
CIENCY NATURE OF THIS GAS FIRED WATER
HEATER, PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOW-
ING: UNDER CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES DUR-
ING NORMAL WINTER OPERATION, COMBUS-
TION GASES MAY CREATE CONDENSATION ON
THE FLUE TUBE WALLS. FROM TIME TO TIME,
WATER MAY DRIP ON THE TOP OF THE BURNER
OR TO THE BOTTOM OF THE WATER HEATER.
SHOULD THIS SITUATION OCCUR, IT DOES
NOT INDICATE A LEAKING TANK.
Main burner & pilot
Every three (3) months check the main burner and pilot
flames. You can access the combustion chamber by removing
the inner and outer doors on the water heater (see figure 3).A
soft blue flame indicates proper gas combustion. A yellow
tipped flame indicates poor combustion. Check for lint or soot
accumulation on or around the burner and clean the burner
with a small brush if necessary. If the problem persists, call a
qualified service technician or your local gas supplier.
Water Heater Tank
Drain a pail of water through the drain valve at least once a
year.This will remove excess sediment from the bottom of the
tank. This sediment if allowed to accumulate, will reduce the
efficiency and the life of the tank.
Venting System Inspection
The burner flame, venting system, and general condition of the
water heater should be checked on a regular basis. Pay particu-
lar attention to the area where the unit is installed. Remove
any possible obstructions that would prevent proper air circu-
lation and venting. Check that the flue pipe is securely attached
and that the entrance to the chimney is properly sealed.
Installation Instructions for Water Heaters Approved
for Space Heating & Potable Water Heating
When using a water heater in a combination space and potable
water heating system, instructions provided in this manual, and
with the air handling unit must be strictly adhered to. In Particular:
1) All piping and components that are used in the system,
must be of a non ferrous type, suitable for potable water.
This also applies to any sealant used.
2) When used as a dual purpose water heater, it must not be
connected to any system that has been previously used for
non potable water heating.This includes any piping, because
in all probability, existing piping would have been in the
past, treated with chemicals for cleaning or sealing the
system.
3) If this water heater is to be used as a heating boiler, make
sure that all safety codes are respected. Pay special atten-
tion to safety valve pressure and expansion tanks.
4) Do not use toxic chemicals to clean the potable water
heating system.
5) Where water temperature in excess of 60oC (140oF) is
required for a space heating application, a mixing valve
must be installed in the potable side of the system.This will
temper the water, and reduce the risk of scalding.
6) If the incoming water line to the heater is equipped with a
check valve, water meter or pressure reducing valve, an
expansion tank must be installed in the system. This will
prevent weeping from the water heater relief valve and
premature failure of the heater due to expansion of the
water during the heating cycle.
Before acquisition of a water heater for space heating applica-
tion, it is necessary to have the area of intended use sized by a
qualified technician, to ensure that adequate water heating
capacity will be available for both heating and potable water
supply and to ensure that the application will meet all local
codes and public utility requirements.
NOTE: It is good practice to oversize the water heater, to
ensure that all of the potential hot water requirements are
available
(see figure 5 for a typical installation layout).

WARRANTY FOR RESIDENTIAL GAS WATER HEATERS
General: The manufacturer will repair or supply an equivalent
replacement water heater in the event that the inner tank
leaks, and will furnish a replacement component part for any
component parts which are found to be defective, within the
applicable periods specified below in accordance with the
terms of this warranty. The manufacturer’s replacement or
repaired unit will be warranted for the unexpired portion of
the original warranty. The manufacturer’s customer service
department phone number is on the cover page of this document
and the warranty reply card inserted herein.
The inner tank: Residential water heaters are
warranted against inner tank leakage as a result of perforation
within a time frame of five (5) years (three (3) years if installed
in Saskatchewan or Newfoundland) from the date of original
installation, provided that the warranty reply card was sent
back to the manufacturer, if not, from the date indicated on
the model rating plate affixed to this water heater. If the water
heater is installed in any other dwelling than a single family
dwelling, the warranty will be limited to one (1) year. Addition
of a water softener in conjunction with removal of the anode
from the water heater will void the warranty.
Any other parts: If any other component parts on these
models are found to be defective within a time frame of one
(1) year from the date of original installation, provided that the
warranty reply card was sent back to the manufacturer, if not,
from the date indicated on the model rating plate affixed to
this water heater, the manufacturer will furnish a replacement
part upon the receipt of the defective part.
The warranty will not apply or will be voided if:
- The installation is not made in accordance with the printed
instructions provided, or does not comply with provincial
and/or local building codes.
- The operation and maintenance of the water heater is not
made in accordance with the printed instructions provided,
provincial and/or local building codes.

The anode has been removed, and /or any non Giant, O.E.M.
factory made or approved replacement part(s) such as con-
trols, dip tubes, drain valve, nipples etc... have been affixed to
a water heater which is still under warranty.
- The water heater experiences the effect of thermal
expansion or failure, reverses the bottom, due to excessive
pressure (exceeding 300kPa). This excessive pressure can
come from the addition of a pressure reducing valve, a water
meter or a simple check valve in the municipal water supply
system in a single family dwelling.
- An approved “pressure temperature relief valve” is not installed.
- The water heater is connected to unauthorized equipment
such as wood, oil, gas or combustion furnaces and stoves
that serve as an additional means of heating the water.
- The water heater is damaged due to abuse, fire, flood and the like.
- The inner tank or component parts fail due to the water
heater being operated at water temperatures exceeding the
maximum setting of the operating and / or high limit
control, or the water heater is not supplied with potable
water, free to circulate at all times.
- If the water heater is not installed in North America.
- If the model rating plate has been defaced or discarded and
not available for warranty application purposes.
Hot water problem and claim procedure:
Before declaring your water heater defective and returning it
to its point of purchase, if you think that your water heater is
still under warranty, contact the manufacturer’s customer
service department in order to obtain the correct information.
Only the manufacturer’s customer service department
is entitled to validate a in-warranty coverage by giving a
“claim authorization number” for repair or supply of a
replacement water heater or component part.
The customer service department will direct you to the right
person who will help you solve the problem, either the
contractor or dealer, as the case may be. PLEASE DO NOT
DISPOSE OF THE DEFECTIVE PART OR WATER
HEATER AS THE CONTRACTOR OR DEALER WILL
NEED IT FOR CREDIT PURPOSES, IF THE HEATER OR
COMPONENT PART IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY
.
The manufacturer always inspects defective units for product
improvement purposes.
Service labor and shipping cost responsibility:
This warranty does not cover any delivery or transportation
expenses or any labor expense for service, removal or
reinstallation of a replacement water heater.All such expenses
are your responsibility. If a water heater is deemed to be
replaced, the manufacturer will deliver a unit at a convenient
authorized dealer.You must pay any local cartage, including the
cost of returning the replaced item to our authorized dealer.
Other general conditions of the warranty :
No one is authorized to make any other warranty on the
manufacturer’s behalf. Any other warranty offered by a third
party other than the manufacturer will not be honored by the
manufacturer.
THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF REPLACEMENT
WATER HEATERS IS LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER ORIGINAL
PURCHASED. PROOF OF PURCHASE MUST BE SUPPLIED IN
THE CASE OF A DISPUTE. IF DUE TO SOME UNUSUAL CIR-
CUMSTANCES, A REPLACEMENT WATER HEATER IS
PROVED TO BE DEFECTIVE, ANOTHER WATER HEATER
WILL BE SUPPLIED IN ORDER TO FULFILL THE OBLIGA-
TION OFTHE LENGTH OFWARRANTY SPECIFIED ABOVE.
A water heater is not considered defective, and will not be
replaced for reasons of odor, discoloration or rusty water. The
manufacturer will not assume any liability of any form if the
water heater is not installed or utilized in accordance with
this product instruction guide.
