3.Holdcomponentsbythe edgesand trynottouchthe ICchips,leadsorconnectors,or
othercomponents.
4.Placecomponentsonagrounded antistaticpadoron the bag thatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthe componentsareseparated fromthe system.
5.EnsurethattheATXpowersupplyisswitched offbeforeyou plug inorremovetheATX
powerconnectoron themotherboard.
Ifthe motherboardhasmountingholes,buttheydon'tline upwiththe holeson the baseand there
areno slotstoattachthe spacers,do notbecomealarmed you can still attachthe spacerstothe
mounting holes.Justcutthe bottomportion ofthe spacers(the spacermaybe alittlehardtocutoff, so
be carefulofyourhands).Inthiswayyou can still attachthe motherboardtothe basewithoutworrying
aboutshortcircuits.Sometimesyou mayneed tousethe plasticspringstoisolatethe screwfromthe
motherboardPCBsurface,becausethe circuitwiremaybe nearbythe hole.Becareful,don'tletthe
screwcontactanyprinted circuitwriteorpartson the PCBthatarenearthefixing hole,otherwiseitmay
damage the boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.
