1Set up
1. ConnectthereceivertoyouriPodtouch/iPhone.
“Application Not Installed”dialogueboxappears.
2. SelectYes.TheiTunesAppStorewillopen
automaticallytotheHDRadioApplication.Followon-
screeninstructionstoinstalltheHDRadioApplication.
3. Connectyourheadphonestotheheadphonejackon
yourreceiver.
4. Thereceiverturnsonautomaticallywhenyouturnon
youriPodtouch/iPhone.
nNote: The headphones function as an antenna for
better reception.
2Listen to the radio
1. Choosethe icononyouriPodtouch/iPhoneto
launchtheHDRadioApplication.Theradiotunestothe
stationlastplayedortherstavailablestationonrst
use.
2. UsethetouchscreenontheiPodtouchoriPhoneto
tunetoastation.
n Notes:
• YoucanlistentoanalogFMstationswithyourreceiver
and other iPod models.
• PresstheHomebuttononyouriPodtouch/iPhoneto
exit the HD Radio application.
• Whenusinginavehicle,avoidplacingthereceiver
directly in front of a vehicle’s cooling or heating vents.
• Toreceiveacallviaamicrophoneheadset:Remove
yourheadsetplugfromtheHDreceiver,plugitinto
your iPhone’s headphone jack and press “answer”.
• ToreceiveacallusingyouriPhone’shandset:Remove
yourheadphones,press“answer”andtalkviathe
handset.
iTunes tagging
1. WhenthereceiverrecognizesanHDRadiochannel
andthesongcanbetagged,theTAGbuttonlights
up.PressTAG tostoresonginformationtoyouriPod
touch/iPhone.“Tag Complete”appearsiftaggingis
successful.
Select TUNE or
FAVORITE.
Listen to the
previous station.
•Presstoturnsound
on/off.
•Pressandholdtobring
up the volume control
andadjustvolume.
Search for stations/
subchannels.

tagged.Youcansave,review,delete,orpurchaseanyof
thesongsthroughtheiTunesstore.
nNotes:
• Toensuretaggingissuccessful,makesureyouriPodor
iPhone is unlocked and the Tag button is illuminated.
• Taggingwillnotcompleteifanothertaggingisalready
in process or if the frequency is changed prior to
receiving the “Tag Complete” feedback notice from
the application.

Access HD Radio multicast channels
SomeHDRadiobroadcastersoffermultipleprograms
simultaneouslyusingmulticastchannelsonthesame
frequency.
Ifthestationoffersmulticastprogramming,“HD (No.)”
appearsnexttothestationfrequency.
Cycle through multicast subchannels:
1. Touch or tonavigatethroughsubchannelsofa
multicaststation.
2. Whentherstorthelastsubchannelisplayed,touch
or tosearchforthepreviousorthenextradio
station.
Go directly to a multicast subchannel:
1. Touchthestationinformation/frequencyboxatthetop
oftheapplication.Itexpandsdownanddisplaysall
availablestreamsonthecurrentlytunedstation.
2. Touchastreamnametotunedirectlytoit.
3. Touchtheorangeorgreyarrowstoreturntothestation
informationscreen.
Audio Delay in HD Radio control
Digitalsystemsinherentlyproduceanaudiodelay.The
controlusesastation’sanalogsignaltotunethestation.
Afterapproximately5seconds,theanalogaudioblendsto
digital.Theblendistypicallysmooth,butifthestationhas
notimplementeditsHDRadiobroadcastcorrectly,youmay
experienceaskip.Thisisnotaproblemwithyourradio.Itis
abroadcastimplementationissue,whichthestationshould
correctovertime.
Onlythemainchannelcontainsananalogsignal.Ifyoutune
directlytoastation’smulticastchannel,theaudiowilldelay
forapproximately5seconds.Thisisnormal.

Listening Safely
Donotwearheadphones,earphones,orearbudswhile
operatingamotorvehicleorridingabicycle.Thiscancreate
atrafchazardandcouldbeillegalinsomeareas.
Toprotectyourhearing,followtheseguidelines:
• Donotlistenathighvolumelevels.Extendedhigh-
volumelisteningcanleadtopermanenthearingloss.
• Setthevolumetothelowestsetting.Thenturnonyour
audiodeviceandadjustthevolumetoacomfortable
level.
• Avoidincreasingthevolume.Yourearswilladapttothe
volumelevel,soalevelthatdoesnotcausediscomfort
couldstilldamageyourhearing.

IgnitionL.P.warrantsthisproductagainstdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipundernormaluseby

Shouldaproblemoccurthatiscoveredbythiswarranty,taketheproductandthesalesreceiptasproof
ofpurchasedatetotheplaceofpurchase.IgnitionL.P.will,atitsoption,unlessotherwiseprovidedby
law:(a)repairtheproductwithoutchargeforpartsandlabor;(b)replacetheproductwiththesameora
comparableproduct;or(c)refundthepurchaseprice.Allreplacedpartsandproducts,andproductson
whicharefundismade,becomethepropertyofIgnitionL.P.Neworreconditionedpartsandproducts
maybeusedintheperformanceofwarrantyservice.Repairedorreplacedpartsandproductsare
warrantedfortheremainderoftheoriginalwarrantyperiod.Youwillbechargedforrepairorreplacement
oftheproductmadeaftertheexpirationofthewarrantyperiod.
