1Set up
1. ConnectthereceivertoyouriPodtouch/iPhone.
“Application Not Installed”dialogueboxappears.
2. SelectYes.TheiTunesAppStorewillopen
automaticallytotheHDRadioApplication.Followon-
screeninstructionstoinstalltheHDRadioApplication.
3. Connectyourheadphonestotheheadphonejackon
yourreceiver.
4. Thereceiverturnsonautomaticallywhenyouturnon
youriPodtouch/iPhone.
nNote: The headphones function as an antenna for
better reception.
2Listen to the radio
1. Choosethe icononyouriPodtouch/iPhoneto
launchtheHDRadioApplication.Theradiotunestothe
stationlastplayedortherstavailablestationonrst
use.
2. UsethetouchscreenontheiPodtouchoriPhoneto
tunetoastation.
n Notes:
• YoucanlistentoanalogFMstationswithyourreceiver
and other iPod models.
• PresstheHomebuttononyouriPodtouch/iPhoneto
exit the HD Radio application.
• Whenusinginavehicle,avoidplacingthereceiver
directly in front of a vehicle’s cooling or heating vents.
• Toreceiveacallviaamicrophoneheadset:Remove
yourheadsetplugfromtheHDreceiver,plugitinto
your iPhone’s headphone jack and press “answer”.
• ToreceiveacallusingyouriPhone’shandset:Remove
yourheadphones,press“answer”andtalkviathe
handset.
iTunes tagging
1. WhenthereceiverrecognizesanHDRadiochannel
andthesongcanbetagged,theTAGbuttonlights
up.PressTAG tostoresonginformationtoyouriPod
touch/iPhone.“Tag Complete”appearsiftaggingis
successful.
Select TUNE or
FAVORITE.
Listen to the
previous station.
•Presstoturnsound
on/off.
•Pressandholdtobring
up the volume control
andadjustvolume.
Search for stations/
subchannels.

• Toensuretaggingissuccessful,makesureyouriPodor
iPhone is unlocked and the Tag button is illuminated.
• Taggingwillnotcompleteifanothertaggingisalready
in process or if the frequency is changed prior to
receiving the “Tag Complete” feedback notice from
the application.

Access HD Radio multicast channels
SomeHDRadiobroadcastersoffermultipleprograms
simultaneouslyusingmulticastchannelsonthesame
frequency.
Ifthestationoffersmulticastprogramming,“HD (No.)”
appearsnexttothestationfrequency.
Cycle through multicast subchannels:
1. Touch or tonavigatethroughsubchannelsofa
multicaststation.
2. Whentherstorthelastsubchannelisplayed,touch
or tosearchforthepreviousorthenextradio
station.
Go directly to a multicast subchannel:
1. Touchthestationinformation/frequencyboxatthetop
oftheapplication.Itexpandsdownanddisplaysall
availablestreamsonthecurrentlytunedstation.
2. Touchastreamnametotunedirectlytoit.
3. Touchtheorangeorgreyarrowstoreturntothestation
informationscreen.
Audio Delay in HD Radio control
Digitalsystemsinherentlyproduceanaudiodelay.The
controlusesastation’sanalogsignaltotunethestation.
Afterapproximately5seconds,theanalogaudioblendsto
digital.Theblendistypicallysmooth,butifthestationhas
notimplementeditsHDRadiobroadcastcorrectly,youmay
experienceaskip.Thisisnotaproblemwithyourradio.Itis
abroadcastimplementationissue,whichthestationshould
correctovertime.
Onlythemainchannelcontainsananalogsignal.Ifyoutune
directlytoastation’smulticastchannel,theaudiowilldelay
forapproximately5seconds.Thisisnormal.

Listening Safely
Donotwearheadphones,earphones,orearbudswhile
operatingamotorvehicleorridingabicycle.Thiscancreate
atrafchazardandcouldbeillegalinsomeareas.
Toprotectyourhearing,followtheseguidelines:
• Donotlistenathighvolumelevels.Extendedhigh-
volumelisteningcanleadtopermanenthearingloss.
• Setthevolumetothelowestsetting.Thenturnonyour
audiodeviceandadjustthevolumetoacomfortable
level.
• Avoidincreasingthevolume.Yourearswilladapttothe
volumelevel,soalevelthatdoesnotcausediscomfort
couldstilldamageyourhearing.

IgnitionL.P.warrantsthisproductagainstdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipundernormaluseby
theoriginalpurchaserforninety (90) daysafterthedateofpurchase.IGNITIONL.P.MAKESNOOTHER

Shouldaproblemoccurthatiscoveredbythiswarranty,taketheproductandthesalesreceiptasproof
ofpurchasedatetotheplaceofpurchase.IgnitionL.P.will,atitsoption,unlessotherwiseprovidedby
law:(a)repairtheproductwithoutchargeforpartsandlabor;(b)replacetheproductwiththesameora
comparableproduct;or(c)refundthepurchaseprice.Allreplacedpartsandproducts,andproductson
whicharefundismade,becomethepropertyofIgnitionL.P.Neworreconditionedpartsandproducts
maybeusedintheperformanceofwarrantyservice.Repairedorreplacedpartsandproductsare
warrantedfortheremainderoftheoriginalwarrantyperiod.Youwillbechargedforrepairorreplacement
oftheproductmadeaftertheexpirationofthewarrantyperiod.
