APPLIANCE
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully before use.
2. Before using the Combo Cooker, make sure the voltage indicated on the
rating plate (110) matches that of the electrical outlet.
3. Make sure that when using the Combo Cooker, it remains 2–4 inches
away from the wall.
4. Make sure that there are no objects on the Combo Cooker before you plug
the power cord into the electrical outlet.
5. Do NOT use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord is
damaged, contact our toll-free Ginny’s Customer Service for information
on returns or replacement.
6. The Combo Cooker should not share an electrical outlet while in use, as
this may cause the circuit to trip.
7. Do NOT place this appliance on or near a gas or electric stove, or in a
heated oven.
8. Do NOT touch hot surfaces of this appliance. Use handles or knobs.
9. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
10. Do NOT use accessories not recommended or sold by the manufacturer.
11. Keep curtains, furniture, flammable materials, etc. away from this
appliance and the electrical outlet when in use.
12. Do NOT use this unit for other than intended use.
13. Do NOT use metal scouring pads when cleaning the Combo Cooker.
14. CAUTION: Never leave this appliance unattended while cooking.
15. EXTREME CAUTION must be used when moving an appliance that con-
tains hot oil or other liquids.
16. To protect against electrical shock, do NOT immerse base with heating
element in water.

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to t a polarized
outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug
in any way.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
2. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and
may be used if care is exercised in their use.
3. If a long detachable power cord or extension cord is used:
• The marked electrical rating of the detachable power supply cord or
extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of
the appliance.
• If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be the
same type 3-wire.
• The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over.

ASSEMBLY
Before Using for the First Time:
1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Wipe down all parts with a damp cloth.
Assembly:
1. Place the unit on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
2. Place the Grill Plate (2)/Hot Pot (6) on top of the Cool Touch Base (1). Make
sure that it is properly fixed into place.
3. Slide the Oil Drip Tray (7) into place as shown in the illustration.
4. Pour water (to the MAX fill line) into the Oil Drip Tray (7) to reduce smoke
while cooking.

1. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
2. Pour water (to the MAX fill line) into the Oil Drip Tray (7). Do NOT pour water
onto the heating element. Place Oil Drip Tray (7) under the heating elements.
3. Adjust the Variable Temperature Control (5 or 8, depending on which function
you are using) to desired cooking setting (1 is 160°F, 5 is 480°F).
NOTE: If you are using the Hot Pot (6), the Stainless Steel Cooking Pot (4) is
optional.
NOTE: It is best to use the Glass Lid (3) with steam vent to prevent splatters
while cooking with the Stainless Steel Cooking Pot (4).
NOTE: During initial use, you may notice some smoke when the unit is first
turned on. This is normal and will eventually go away.
4. Place the food you are cooking on either the Grill Plate or in the Hot Pot
(depending on which feature you are using).
5. Use heat-safe nylon or wooden cooking utensils when cooking. Metal utensils
will scratch the nonstick finish.
6. Turn to “OFF” after use.
1. Make sure that the Variable Temperature Controls (5, 8) are in the “OFF”
position.
2. Allow the Combo Cooker to cool completely before putting on or taking off
parts and before cleaning.
3. All parts except for the Cool Touch Base with Heating Element (1) are
dishwasher safe. Do NOT immerse the Cool Touch Base with Heating Element
(1) in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
4. Use nylon or wooden tools to clean the nonstick surface. Do NOT use abrasive
cleaners as they may scratch the nonstick coating.

HOW TO OPERATE RECIPES
Grilled Chicken Noodle Soup
INGREDIENTS:
Directions:
1. Grill chicken breast on the grill at setting 4, turning once, until lightly browned.
Internal temperature should read 160°F.
2. Cut cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
3. In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat (setting 4), add the onion and sauté for
5 minutes.
4. Add the carrots and celery and sauté for an additional 5 minutes.
5. Dissolve the broth mix in 2 cups of boiling water (water taken from 8 cups) and
stir thoroughly.
6. Add the remaining 6 cups of water to the saucepan with the sautéed vegetables.
7. Add thyme, garlic and broth and bring to a boil.
8. Reduce heat to medium low (setting 2) and simmer for 30 minutes.
9. 10 minutes before serving, add chicken pieces and cooked egg noodles and heat
through.
Serves 6–8
TIP:
**Grilling chicken breast brings out more flavor for the soup, rather than poaching.
1 skinless, boneless chicken breast, grilled**
1 small onion, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
8 cups water
1/4 tsp. thyme leaves, crushed
2 cups egg noodles, cooked
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1 small carrot
3 Tbsp. Better-Than Bouillion broth
mix
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Grilled Ham and Bean Soup
INGREDIENTS:
Directions:
1. Grill ham slices on grill setting 4 until lightly browned and fork tender.
2. Cut ham slices into bite-size pieces.
3. Put the ham bone, bay leaf, water and diced ham into a saucepan.
4. Bring to a boil over high heat (setting 5).
5. Reduce heat to a simmer for 1 hour.
6. Remove ham bone and strip away the remaining meat. Add to the saucepan.
7. Add the undrained beans and parsley and bring to a boil, until the beans are
tender.
8. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Serves 6–8
TIP:
**Grilling the ham slices brings out more flavor in the soup.
2 slices of ham, grilled**
1 bay leaf
1 15 oz. can great northern beans, undrained
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
1 ham bone (if available)
1 1/2 cans water
1 tsp. dried parsley (or 2 tsp.
fresh, chopped)
Minestrone Soup
INGREDIENTS:
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan at medium heat (setting 4).
2. Sauté onion for approximately 5 minutes.
3. Add celery and carrot and continue sautéing for an additional 5 minutes.
4. Add tomatoes (with juice), thyme and water.
5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low (setting 2).
6. Simmer (partially covered) for about 45 minutes.
7. Add potato, cabbage, beans and parsley and stir.
8. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
9. Bring to a boil until potatoes are tender (approximately 20 minutes), then
remove from heat.
Serves 6–8
Serve topped with grated parmesan cheese.
Add crusty bread and salad for the perfect meal!

Ginny’s warrants this product free from defects in material
and workmanship for one year from provable date of purchase.
Within this warranty period, Ginny’s will repair or replace,
at its option, defective parts at no charge, provided the
product is returned, freight prepaid with proof of
purchase to Ginny’s.
Allow 2-4 weeks for return shipping.
This warranty does not cover improper installation, misuse,
abuse or neglect on part of the owner.
Warranty is also invalid in any case that the
product is taken apart or serviced by an
unauthorized service station.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights
and they may vary from state to state.

Bratwurst
INGREDIENTS:
Directions:
1. Place the onions, beer, water and pepper in a saucepan.
2. Pierce the bratwurst several times on each side of the sausage. Add to the pot.
3. Bring to a boil over high heat (max. setting). Reduce heat to medium (setting 3)
and simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Heat the grill side on high (max. setting), place the bratwurst on the grill.
5. Cook for 5 minutes, or until grill marks appear. Turn bratwurst and repeat on
other side.
6. When bratwurst are cooked, return to the pot.
7. Bratwurst may be kept warm in the beer bath if not served immediately.
Serves 3–5
To serve:
Split the buns, butter and lightly grill. Add a bratwurst and condiments of your
choice.
**Usually 5 per pound
