Coin Hopper Overview
The LSX4100 Coin Hopper is located in the Top Cabinet, which can be accessed by unlocking
the cabinet door. Once the door is unlocked, the cabinet door slides up, providing access to the
Coin Hopper. There are three coin hoppers: one each for pennies, nickels, and quarters. The
hoppers are on a slide tray.
Removing the Coin Hoppers
Follow these instructions for removing the Coin Hoppers:
1. Press the green button on the front of the slide tray to pull the hopper tray forward.

2. Locate the cable on the backside of each hopper. Press the tab in the middle of the connector to
disconnect the cable from the harness.
3. Push hopper towards the coin drop path to disconnect from base and lift.

Troubleshooting the Coin Hopper
Use the following diagnostics to help troubleshoot issues with the Coin Hoppers
1. Failure to open COM port (COM5) and get status of hoppers
a. Check the coin control board for the LED light indicating DC power.
b. Check cable to each hopper for a loose connection.
2. Failure to dispense coin
a. Check the coin hopper for a jam.
b. Check to see if the hopper is empty.
c. Check the coin drop path for blockage.
