CARE &USE OF GME TX610 RADIO
The following equipment is supplied as part of the Kit.

Turn on TX610 radio by pressing the power button for approximately 2
seconds. The Channel and CTCSS code should be set at 29 - 25. The
lock icon should be shown in the LCD display. The unit is ready to go.
To change the Channel or CTCSS code hold down the Scan/Lock
button until it „beeps‟ and the lock icon disappears. Press the Mode
button once and the Channel will start flashing. Use the arrow keys to
change. Press the Mode button a second time and the CTCSS display
will flash. Use the arrow keys to change. After five seconds the settings
will be automatically saved. Hold down the Scan/Lock button until the
lock icon appears. To adjust the volume use the arrow keys.
Connect MPTT cable to the radio.
Place Radio into Rubber Glove (to prevent damage
from moisture), then into pouch on belt.
Clip MPTT button onto belt.
Connect RK Headset into MPTT, ensuring it clicks firmly into place.
Release button on RK Headset connector should be same side as
MPTT button.
Clip Airtube onto jumper or other clothing and insert into ear. Secure
with tape if necessary.
Thread microphone up front of jumper with lead through the v-neck of
the collar. Do up the bottom button keeping the cable below this, then
clip microphone above button. This ensures microphone receiver is
upwards and in best reception position.
To operate, press button, pause 1 second to ensure transmitting mode
is connected, then speak clearly. Give short commands and repeat
twice e.g. “forward, forward” for a forward pass. Once you have got the
referees attention, then it is possible for longer conversations. Release
the button after you have finished talking.
At completion of game/s, remove radio from rubber glove. Moisture can
cause damage to the radio if not „aired‟ out correctly.
Turn off radio by holding in the Power button.
DO NOT LEAVE BATTERIES IN UNIT WHEN NOT IN USE
