practices for using it
Never enter the disinfection area when the product is in operation

PRACTICES AROUND USING THESE PRODUCTS!

1. Ensure unit is standing on astable surface or mounted safely to the wall
2. Ensure the disinfection area is clear of LIVING BEINGS PRIOR TO PROCEEDING
3. Ensure you have aclear path to exit the area once unit is activated
4. Ensure you know how much time you have to exit the disinfection area.Different products have different delay
start times.Refer to the Delay Start Time chart on page 27
5. If the door/s to the area to be disinfected have significant gaps around the frame find an item to block the gap
and place it near the door for use on exit
6. Locate the supplied UV protective eyewear and put them on
7. Even though you must never be in the disinfection area when the unit is irradiating, it remains best practice for
the operator to also wear nitrile gloves and tightly woven clothing which covers all exposed skin.
8. Locate the supplied warning sign and hang it on the outside of the exit door
1. If there is more than one entrance/ exit to the disinfection area, place additional signs at these doors
9. Locate the supplied remote control and keep it on you or store it in the remote control pouch affixed to the
warning sign

1. Plug the unit into an electrical outlet, do not modify/ alter the electrical
connection of the product in anyway
2. Turn on the product by setting the I/0rocker switch to I. The green LED will
illuminate.The unit is now ready to be programmed.The UVC tubes are NOT
illuminated at this time
3. Where possible use the included remote control and move to the door in
preparation for activation
4. Select the appropriate disinfection time by pressing the relevant button
5. Before pressing start reassess the area, make sure there are no living
beings in the area and that your path to exit is clear

1. Press the start button
2. Once the start button is pressed an audible alarm will sound and ared LED light
will flash for the duration of the delayed start time
3. YOU MUST EXIT THE DISINFECTION AREA IMMEDIATELY
4. Once the delayed start time has ended, the tubes will activate and the red LED light
will illuminate for the duration of the disinfection process
5. During emission there will be an audible ping every 10 seconds until the emission
time is over

1. Once the disinfection process has ended, the red LED light will turn off and be
replaced by the green LED light.This will indicate that it is now safe to enter the
room
2. Upon entering the room, open windows to ventilate area
1. You may encounter an unusual smell which is anormal result of the
disinfection process and is not harmful
3. If using amobile product return the unit to its safe storage location
4. Remember to return the UV Warning Sign, Remote control and UV Glasses to their
storage location

1. If the disinfection cycle is interrupted due to the motion sensor being activated,
the unit will sound an alarm tone until an operator resets the unit
1. The unit may be reset by selecting the relevant timing cycle followed by the
start button
2. The unit will now go through the delay start process and then begin the cycle
3. You may also restart the unit using the remote control
2. If the disinfection cycle is interrupted due to apower outage, no alarm tone will
sound.Once power returns the disinfection cycle will need to be restarted as per
previous instructions

1. Unit is most effective when placed in line of sight of surface to be disinfected
2. Ensure placement of unit allows for greatest coverage
3. If necessary add more units at different points in the disinfection area
4. Shaded areas are likely not to be disinfected
5. UVGI disinfection is most effective when added to existing disinfection protocols
6. Best practice is to complete manual disinfection protocols prior to UVGI activation
7. UVGI disinfection alone will not disinfect an entire area
